Lenovo has just released their new IdeaTab S2110 Android tablet for pre-order at Amazon for just $499.99 (including the keyboard dock). It’s a much cheaper solution for those who can’t afford to get the ASUS Transformer Prime + keyboard dock that roughly will cost you around $650+.
Obviously, this Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 is not as premium as the Prime or Pad Infinity. It’s about the same as ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 without the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Specification wise, Lenovo IdeaTab S2100 is coming with 1.5GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon CPU, has 10.1-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 800px resolution, 1GB LPDDR2 RAM, 16GB flash storage, has WiFi b/g/n, 5-megapixel rear facing camera and it’s running Google ICS 4.0.
Update: Based on the information on Lenovo, the keyboard dock is capable of adding up to 10 more hours to the tablet. The tablet itself has about 10-hours of continuous operation, which means you can use the tablet + keyboard for 20 hours, theoretically. The actual up-time should be lower, but shouldn’t pass the 15+ hours operation under minim settings (brightness, CPU frequency, wifi-off, not-playing multimedia files).
