ViewSonic, the old player in display market has just announced two new budget friendly LED monitors that should aiming for the students or low budget worker. The monitor is just around the range of $125 – $149, but it has featured a LED panel with over-hyped 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
The two monitors share the same specs, except that one is coming with larger screen with full HD support, and the other one is not. The similar specs that both monitors have are as follow:
- Eco-Friendly theme, mercury-free monitor
- Has Eco mode for low power consumption and longer lifespan
- Have DVI and VGA inputs
- 2W integrated speakers
For the first model – the VA2212m-LED, this monitor is coming with 21.5-inch LED panel and it has full HD 1080p resolution. Sadly, it doesn’t have HDMI port for easier connectivity from HDMI devices. Next one is its brother codenamed VA1912m-LED, which has a smaller screen at 18.5-inch supporting 1×366 x 768p resolution only.
The big brother will cost you $149, while the small brother with cost you $125 only. They are scheduled to arrive at US shore around the mid-August 2012. It should be a nice secondary monitor, but not for gaming as it might has ghosting effects.
