Lenovo is preparing to launch their new Windows 8 ThinkPad tablet, however, the company haven’t announced anything yet. It seems they are going to deliver their announcement once their new device has passed the FCC examination and ready for release. However, someone has just got the leaked information of this new tablet even though the company’s lips still shut off tight.
The leaked information is stating that Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be powered by dual-core Intel Clover Trail processor, has 2GB RAM, 64GB storage, 10.1-inch WXGA multi-touch display that is sensitive to stylus touch as well, and the tablet will also coming with other interesting features such as fingerprint reader and HSPA+/LTE connectivity.
In the leaked information, it also teased a keyboard dock will be available for this ThinkPad Tablet 2. If you are familiar with Lenovo product, you’ll immediately figure out the novelty keyboard design with that little orange mouse button in the middle of the keyboard. When you dock the tablet into the keyboard unit, it looks just like a normal laptop, except you can interact with the display now.
It’s definitely a nice alternative to Microsoft Surface Tablet. Unfortunately, there is no details for the pricing. It’s expected to launch on October 26th with Windows 8 tablet OS, but no idea if the accessory will come along on the same day.
