The recent update about Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has tipped us that it will available in this August, but there is no exact date for the launch yet. Luckily, the company has released another short news that Galaxy Note 10.1 will be officially available on August 15th. However, the actual launch date for this device is different in various countries. For example, if you are living in Hong Kong, you’ll be able to get it on August 16th, which is one day delayed.
Since there are 3 version released by Samsung, we have no idea what US users will get. But in Hong Kong, the market is getting the Galaxy Note 10.1 3G version, and will be sold for HK$4,998, which is equal to $644 or so.
The pricing is a bit high because the specification is not really a charming one. Comparing to ASUS Transformer Infinity or Apple iPad 3 with impressive screen resolution and features, the $644 for Galaxy Note 10.1 is expensive. The tablet has only 1280 x 800p resolution with PLS TFT display.
It might be challenging for Samsung to enter the US or Europe market with such type of pricing policy, but we’ll look on how the story will progress. I’ll let you know once Samsung has launch the tablet in both US and Europe market.
