You can expect to see a new species of monster performance gaming laptop appearing in the market very soon because NVIDIA has just unveiled their latest NVIDIA GTX 560M GPU. This GPU is said to be able to gives user full HD 1080p experience and high graphical performance for hardcore 3D games. The first companies that were expected to get this upgrade are including the renown Alienware, and following up by Toshiba, ASUS, and MSI to just name a few. It would be interesting to see how each company trying to attract the market’s attention with their own personal mix of features and technology.

But of course, anyone who’ve tried to own a gaming laptop should make sure their pocket is thick enough because those are things that cost 2000+ or above.

News for the PC Hardware world, EVGA has just released a cool water-cooled graphic card dubbed as FTW Hydro Copper 2 that uses GeForce GTX 580 chipset. It’s one of the fastest chip in the market, with 512 CUDA cores, 384-bit memory interface, 772MHz GPU clock, 1544MHz shader clock speed and 3GB of GDDR5 RAM with 4008MHz speed. There is no benchmark result posted yet, but it should be an amazing graphic card for the rich overclocker/gamers.

As for the water-cooling technology, EVGA is using their own Hydro Copper 2 full-cover water block to cool the beast. It’s very thin, but you might have a problem to dual SLI this type of card.

Port-wise, EVGA GeForce GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2 has two DVI, one mini HDMI and SLI connector on-board. This GPU is going to retail for $739.99, high enough to make budget strict students scream out loud.

We have seen some uprising trend of factory overclocked graphic card lately. I guess it’s good because user don’t have to boost the performance by themselves because it’s risky that way. Recently, Gigabyte who’ve got their first factory overclocked graphic card for the market has just added the second factory overclocked GPU using Radeon HD 6970 chipset.

It’s called as Radeon HD 6970 OC2 GPU, a graphic card that has 1536 stream processors, 256-bit memory interface, and sports 920MHz GPU clock, memory speed is set at 1375MHz using 2GB GDDR5 VRAM.

Gigabyte Radeon HD 6970 OC2 Graphics Card also featuring Ultra Durable VGA+ design, WindForce 3X cooling system and sporting two DVI, one HDMI and one displayport ports. Sadly, Gigabyte haven’t release the details for price and availability date yet.

So you thought no high-end graphic card would come with a single slot design, eh? Well, PowerColor want you to change your perspective a bit because they’ve just make their own single slot high-end graphic card for the market. Their graphic card is stuffing AMD Radeon HD 6850 chips, where it actually has integrated 960 Stream processors, 256-bit memory interface, GPU clock at 775MHz, memory clock at 4000MHz and 1GB GDDR5 VRAM.

PowerColor has designed a single slot fan cooling system for this beast. Though I’m about worry that it will toast itself, but I believe PowerColor, one of the expert in making quality graphic card for years know what they are doing.

The graphical chipset is pretty fast performing, it has dual-link DVI, HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort to support multiple display. Oh, PowerColor also said that their Single Slot Radeon HD 6850 graphic card has supported 4 way CrossFireX capabilities to boost gaming graphic performance, which is one of the very welcomed feature.

Pricing and availability is not yet announced by the company.

Alpenföhn has offered the latest universal GPU cooler called Heidi 2 that looks quite a bit of a low-profile CPU cooler. Do not make a mistake as this stuff is not for cooling CPU. Heidi 2 have 50 aluminum fins array at the top connected with four 6mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes and nickel-plated copper base. In such setting is believed to be able to improve head dissipation.

AMD has just released the official image for their new high-performing graphic card Radeon HD 6990 series. However, beside leaking the images, there is no specification details released by AMD yet.

Despite of the complete silent at AMD side, it’s been expected that Radeon HD 6990 GPU is a combination of two HD 6970 GPUs in one PCB, which lifting the memory bandwidth to 3000GB/s, 3,000+ shaders, and 4GB dedicated VRAM on single graphic card.

However, the biggest drawback is the fact that AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphic card will consume about 300w of power, alone. That’s as high as one barebone system that can do most task you throw in! If you don’t mind, you should check your PSU if it can support this upgrade or not. No idea if it can be crossfired or not, but this single card alone is already a monster!

Graphic card cooling device is certainly improving along with the graphic card. When the manufacturer has managed to stuffed so many cores and processors into a single graphic card, the heat is also rising rapidly. But thanks to the improved version of the cooler, things are now running cooler than ever. Even the silent type of cooling system is as excellent as the fan-version. The latest MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 (N580GTX HydroGen) graphic card is using this kind of silent cooling system to keep the beast running cool.

The silent cooling system is using MSi’s HydroGen all copper waterblock to gives a faster water flow to cool down the core. It’s capable of turning down the temperature by up to 24-degree Celcius compared to any other silent cooling system that ever popped out in the market.

MSI also has included dedicated software called Afterburner to let you tweak and overclock the hidden potential of this card. It looks like this MSI N580GTX is indeed a nice GPU for your gaming needs. Unfortunately, MSI haven’t released the pricing for this GPU yet.

Palit Microsystems has released a great GeForce GTX 580 GPU for gamers who want to have the best graphical performance for their games. KFA2 Has released their world’s first wireless graphic card using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 has the core. The graphic card is using AMIMONS’ WHDI technology to let user connect their HDTV (with wireless connection) to their desktop wirelessly.

If you have own Radeon HD 6950 GPU and still want to unlock its hidden potential even more, you should check out the BIOS flash hack by techPowerUp guys from their website.

By using their hack, it’s possible to turbo-boost Radeon HD 6950 to Radeon HD 6970′s performance despite of its interface (6950 is using 6-pin connector while 6970 is using 8-pin connector).

Perhaps this BIOS hack is doable thanks to the same Cayman core on both GPUs, but it’s been tipped that the hack might cause some problem under extreme loads condition and you’ll have to break the warranty to get the additional power and performance.

After NVIDIA with their GeForce GTX 570 launched, AMD is reported in preparation of launching their latest series of Radeon HD graphic card series 6970 (cayman) and 6950 in the third week of December 2010.

It’s been said that AMD Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950 graphic cards are has a lower performance when comparing with nVidia GeForce GTS 580 series. That’s why when these brotherhood appear in the market, it would be price $50 – $70 USD lower than GeFoce GTX 580. It would be interesting to see how these cards performing in the actual benchmark.

The core specs of AMD Radeon HD 1,536 stream processors, 32 ROPs, 96 texture units and 2GB of GDDR5 memory, has 300W TDP and a lot of video out ports including two DVI ports, two Mini DisplayPorts, and an HDMI port.

Instead coming with the default core clock speed, Gigabyte is launching their new GeForce GTX 570 graphic card with a little bit tweaking on their factory and boost its core clock to run faster at 772MHz (default is 732MHz) and CUD core speed at 1544MHz (default: 1464MHz) and 1002/4008MHz memory clock speed (default is 950/3800MHz). Which mean you are paying for the price of GTX 570, but you are getting the performance of GeForce GTX 580!

The rest of the specs stay the same, such as the 480 CUDA cores, 40nm GF110 GPU, 1280MB memory, 320-bit memory interface, DirectX 11 Support and three video output (2 DVI and one HDMI). After launching their GeForce GTX 580 GPU, NVIDIA has now officially released their GeForce GTX 570 graphic card that has fully packed with 15 streaming multi-processors, 320-bit memory interface and 480 CUDA processing cores. It also coming with all-new vapor chamber cooler design, which help a lot in power saving and performance booster.

This GeForce GTX 570 is consider the slower GPU (but cheaper) when comparing with GTX 580, because it has 732MHz core clock and Shader clock at 1464MHz only (comparing to GTX 580 at 772MHz and 1544MHz). However, it’s been said to be a lot like GeForce GTX 480.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 GPU is going to have three video-output ports, including one mini HDMI and two DVIs. Simply installing this card into the PCI-Express 2.0 slot is not enough, your power supply should have a vacant couple of six-pin connector for powering up this beast before you can think for this upgrade. However, you won’t be kicking yourself because you’ll have no regret since this card support all things new like PhysX physics processing, 3D vision stereoscopic 3D support, and the most important part – it’s cheaper than GeForce GTX 580 with a mere performance decreased.

The fastest graphic card of the era, NVIDIA GTX 580 has been officially launched by NVIDIA. This new card is 100% compatible with DirectX11, about 30% faster than its predecessor GTX 480, have 512 CUDA cores, 16 PolyMorph engines and support triple-display or stereoscopic 3D display.

The GPU is also reported to have a vapor chamber thermal solution to cool down the beast without creating much noise from the cooling system (fans). Of course, such a high-end graphic card will cost at a rather high price mark if you want one. The lowest price that we have found is haunting at the level of $500+. The highest price is the EVGA branded version and the second highest is one pictured above.

It’s rare to see a high-end graphic card to be coming with a single slot design only. Normally there would b two slot occupied with one slot dedicated for the cooling fan so it can cool the beast inside the GPU. This NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 GPU from Sparkle is not. I assume it won’t produce much heat or the company is so confident that their cooling system is very cool at calming the beast.

The Sparkle NVIDIA GeFoce GTS 450 graphic card is based on the 40nm GF106 GPU, has two copper heatpipes inside the case to suck heat temperature out. As for the performance, this codenamed SXS4501024D5SNMS graphic card is capable of running at 789MHz GPU Clock speed, 1579MHz shader frequency and 3760MHz on the 1GB GDDR5 memory.

Sparkle SXS4501024D5SNMS GeForce GTS 450 GPU has 192 CUDA cores and it’s running on 128-bit memory interface.

As you can see in the image, there are three output provided, two DVI and one mini HDMI port. No pricing yet and availability remains unknown.

The mobile gaming market is getting interesting day by day. With the support from the world’s leading gaming graphic card manufacturer (NVIDIA), now laptop gamers can enjoy an even faster graphical performance from NVIDIA GPU 400M series.

According to NVIDIA, the 400M series graphic card can perform about 40% faster than the previous 300M series with significant boost in the fps rating.
