Marshall from Japan has a new additional HDD enclosure offering for their local market. The HDD enclosure is called MAL-3525S, a highly-rugged portable enclosure that featuing impact-resistant structure for 2.5-inch SATA HDD.

Sadly, it’s only available in the USB 2.0 version. No USB 3.0 interface spotted in their official site. This hard drive enclosure is going to be available in Japan on February 17th for 1,280 Yen, or about $17 in black and white model.

Amazon begins shipping out their Kindle Touch edition internationally starting this February. As you may have known from the start, Kindle Touch is the only and cheapest ebook reader offered by Amazon at the $99, and it’s coming with a 6-inch multi-touch screen for navigation instead of hard buttons on the bezel. What’s Amazon has offered to the International market is the ability to download ebooks from Amazon in less than 60 seconds, and the device will be able to store up to 3,000 ebooks.

As far as how many country Amazon could reach with their Kindle Touch, I’ve seen that some of the country in South East Asia is not capable of getting this ebook because their service is not available yet.

So the context “international” is not really suitable yet. It would be great if the device could be used anywhere in the world, as long as an WIFI connection is available. But It seems Amazon haven’t yet to really “release” their device for the worldwide market.

Anyway, if you wish to own Kindle Touch International Edition, you should use this Amazon page to check on your country. If it’s unavailable, they will tell you.

Over at Taipei International Book Fair, Qualcomm has rolled out a new ebook reader called Kobee Jin Yong that has a 5.7-inch Mirasol display. You know, Mirasol is the next gen of e-ink display that is capable of showing up color in the usual black ‘n white display, without sucking up extra battery life.

Kobee Jin Yong ebook reader is an Android ebook reader as it comes with G’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with custom interface. Qualcomm has stuck a 1GHz SnapDragon S2 processor into this ebook reader for the best power run most ereading apps and the mirasol display. No idea on the pricing at the moment, let’s hope is something as cheap as Kindle Fire.

Check out this interesting tablet stand called Octa WhaleTail + Vacuum Dock. It’s a two-part tablet stand – the cute WhaleTail and a Vacuum Dock.

I’ve no idea why it has to be a tail of whale, but the design is pretty interesting when you put it on your desk. The Octa WhaleTail will docked into the Vacuum dock, while the vacuum dock has an integrated vacuum suction that could let it stick to almost any tablet’s rearplate tightly.

The vacuum dock itself is measuring at 3.95 x 3.95 x 5.9-inch, which is friendly even for a small tablet. Not limited by those two mode, you can even use it to gain a lower angle for typing ergonomic or adjust the optimal position as you like.

The tablet stand could be used on both portrait and landscape position by rotating the whale tail. Thanks to the tail, it has also added some grip when you are holding your tablet.

Kinect is really wonderful for Xbox 360 where we can play games with our body movement and extract some sweats for a healthier gaming experience. This device has really chance the way we interact with games or applications, and perhaps it will be the key to decrease the obesity rate in the States. We have heard that Microsoft has tested the firmware for PC so PC user can also have fun with it, but haven’t really see any improvement and which application has uses this feature.

Now, we have got a further information that Microsoft is eyeing to integrate Kinect with future laptops. According to TheDaily, there is prototype (an unidentified netbook) of the integration of netbook and kinect, but there is no further details on this matter.

Microsoft has confirmed that they are currently working on the desktop version of Kinect. The question is, when will Microsoft officially released this PC-friendly kinect? Will it be a firmware update alone or there will be an entire new Kinect made just for PC user? No matter which one, keyboard and mouse will never be alone anymore in the future.

Over at Kickstarter, an interesting capacitive pen has been created again. After LunaTik Stylus Touch Pen, here come the Jaja Stylus Pen for iPad that user can actually put pressure on their drawing!

There are a lot of wristband accessory made for iPod Nano 6G or 7G, but I haven’t found one that is so minimalist like this one from Curve Creative.

This is the NANOLET, the minimalist Nano Wristband for iPod Nano 6G/7G. It’s a 3D printed Nano Bracelet that if you have your own 3D printer, you can also create the same thing from the design above (but won’t as sturdy as the real one).

Unlike any other watch band, this NANOLET is actually very easy to use. Just snap the iPod Nano into the socket, wrap it around your wrist and it’s good to go. No need to decide which hole to use, or even resizing the length of the band.

But sadly, NANOLET is suitable for medium sized wrists only. Bigger size of wrist might have a trouble and probably will block the blood flows around their wrist.

Water is always the best enemy to any electronic device ever created. Even the most popular gadget such as iPhone or iPad is their best food to crunch. However, the situation will be switching 180-degree in few years later as HzO is going to released their new thin film nano-coating system called Waterblock technology to provide waterproof protection to any electronic devices.

I’m not sure if it’s really calming, but the creator claimed that using this Calm Trees S iPad stand will give you some sort of calming effect, if you are a wood-lover.

This is a new iPad 2 stand designed by Tonerico Inc. Calm Trees S iPad stand is made with “one hundred thousand and four cypress” according to the translation, which sounds like something incredible (but I’m not really sure about it).

The stand will allow iPad 2 to stand at 73-degree and 69-degree, horizontally only. You will not want to put it on portrait mode as it might crack your iPad’s edge screen.

Also, it could be used on an iPhone 4 with case which it could stand on 75-degree viewing angle.

Do you remember the TikTok and Lunatik iPod Nano watch band? Scott Wilson, the creator has come up with another amazing kickstarter project that worth the full attention for tablet users.

The project is all about an unique stylus pen that could double as a pen. Even better, switching between two modes is only just a click away!

Scot Wilson introduced us to their Multi function stylus pen called LunaTik Touch Pen.

From it’s look, it’s a normal pen with a rather dull pen tip rubber cover. In fact, that rubber is the digital stylus pen!

Click once to reveal the tip of the pen for writing like usual, another click will retract the pen and expose the capacitive rubber stylus that you can use it on iPad or tablets. You can safely use the stylus as the pen has been properly retracted into the ‘shell’ that it won’t scratch the surface your your valuable tablet.

This stuff is cool. I can’t resist it and I’ve pledge in his project. Depending on the amount of your pledge or support, you can get a different package of LunaTik Touch pen.
