Similar with Eye-Fi card, Toshiba FlashAir is supporting peer-to-peer transfers and uploads to any servers when there is a wireless connectivity nearby. You can snap your photos using you digital camera, and transfer it directly to your laptop, smartphones, tablets or other device that support Wireless LAN connection.

Toshiba FlashAir SDHC card with built-in wireless LAN is going to hit the store in this February 2012 for about $85 a pop. The biggest drawback is that the SDHC card won’t work right away on any digital camera. It’s only compatible with handful of camera that come with the native support of FlashAir. Which mean, you won’t be able to use the wireless transfer functionality with the camera you have right now.

As what I’ve known so far, Linksys is the first company to rolled out their wireless router or wireless modem with amazing appearance and design. We all know that those wireless modems are away on the dark side – hidden somewhere people wouldn’t notice of their existence while it can still provide it fastest connection for the users. So appearance and good design on this device is actually quite useless. However, if you think you are going to place it somewhere visible to others and want them to be impressed, you can take a look at this new Linksys E-Series Wireless router.

In this E-Series Family, Linksys has cramped out 5 new models that could handle fast 450Mbps (roughly) data transfers. Also, they’ve come with 3×3 spatial stream configuration to enlarge the wireless network zone and reduce dead spots. For the top model, the wireless router has been equipped with dual band 802.11n and probably will be treated with the best and fastest transfer support.

Even better, Cisco Linksys E-series wireless router has been equipped with virtual USB technology. This technology allows us to hook up USB printers, storage, or any USB device over the network without actually plug-in any USB connector to the router.

There is no news when Cisco Linksys will launch these E-Series wireless router yet. But when it has become available, the price range should be around $59.99 to $179.99 depending on which model you are taking.

I know every company is trying to be unique to the market with their own product offering. But something like this LAN-WH450N/GR is certainly too weird. LAN-WH450N/GR is a new wireless router from Logitec. It has a slim router base with thin stand to save space, which is pretty normal. However, what’s make it unique and ‘weird’ is the flower-like triple antennas (or it’s also called as Tri-tenna) popping out from the top of the wireless router.

According to Logitec, LAN-WH450N/GR wireless router is supporting 5GHz bandwidth on IEEE 802.11a/n mode, where user can enjoy full 450Mpbs speed on compatible wireless devices like laptop, mobile phone or tablet. Though we are not sure how effective the triple antenna design is when compared to the ‘old fashioned’ dual antenna design However, we sure hope it has a good latency and no lags even for a millisecond.

Logitec will start shipping this LAN-WH450N/GR wireless router in this April in Japan for a hefty price around $230.

Wireless N connection has been available on most modern laptop or tablet device. Even gaming console has this stuff installed by default. It’s pretty much a common feature that any wireless capable gadget will have but D-Link think that not everyone is capable of enjoying this technology yet. That’s why they’ve launch a mini sized USB wireless N Modules codenamed as DWA-121 Wireless N 150 Pico USB Adapter and DWA-131 Wireless N Nano USB Adapter.

The shape is just like any wireless dongle that you can find for a wireless mouse, or a pico bluetooth dongle. These USB wireless N Modules support up to 300Mbps transfer speed, WPA/WPA2 encryption and wireless connection manager. They are available now for $49.99 with Windows OS as the native support. No idea if you can use it on your iMac or Macbook, but is that really necessary?

Matrox has just announced a crazy useful device called Extio F2208 that could separate your PC system from the peripherals (Monitor, sound system, keyboard Mouse and other USB devices) as far a 1KM away!

It’s not wireless by all mean, but it’s using a special fiber optic cable to hook them up to ensure there is no hidden/dropped frames, data latency, and artifacts as seen with compression-based solutions.

Matrox Extio F2208 is not made for general consumer since non of them would need such technology and connection. Matrox Extio F2208 will be very useful for Enterprise level company to connect their computer in one place while keeping the computer itself safe in a secure room.

Specification wise, Matrox Extio F2208 KVM have 5 USB ports to hook up your USB gadgets, one VGA and one DVI port (support up to 1920 x 1200), and it support dual screen attachment. You can view the details at Matrox website.

Sandy, Matrox haven’t released the pricing details and launch date yet.

Autonomic Controls Inc. has just announced Mirage Media Server, a cloud-based media server that will put all of your music files from your PC, laptop, Mac, or network attached storage (NAS) online so you can download your music wherever you go. That’s certainly amazing and users with unlimited 3G/4G mobile plan can enjoy their music library wherever they go.

Mirage Media Server (MMS-2) also comes with two independent audio ports and video output for displaying metadata and slideshow on High definition TV. More great stuff is that you can control this Mirage Media Server MMS-2 with your iPad or iPhone. All you have to do is to download the app on Apple iTunes App Store for $49.99 (iPad) or $19.99. For the device itself, you should fork out a big sums of money to own it. Mirage Media Server is costing at $19,995 when you purchase it from the authorized dealers. Kind of pricey if you are not a 6-figures earner.
