This is a phone, er… well, kind of like phone but it’s not one. You may pretty familiar with the name “polaroid” here as they are the only popular company that product camera with instant snapshot result.

They’ve announced an interesting camera recently that pretty much like the Sony Ericsson Satio or any camera phone that ever exist in the market up to date. However, this new camera – Polaroid SC1630 is really not a phone anyway.

What makes me feel it like a phone is because of the user interface. According to Polaroid, they are using an Android system to run the camera, and the UI is closely resembling a phone. You can even take memo on your camera, do math with the calcualtor, and event going online!

Specification wise, Polaroid SC1630 Smart camera is coming with a 16-megapixel sensor camera, 3X optical zoom, 3.2-inch touchscreen display supporting 800x480p, WiFi connection, has face and smile detector, instant red-eye removal, color correction, and even the capability to geo tagging the images you take.

One more benefit if Polaroid SC1630 is that the camera can instantly upload your photos to the internet with a single button when it’s been hooked up with local wireless internet connection.

Polaroid SC1630 is going to hit the market in April for $299.

Unlike the previous two lens kit I’ve mentioned above, Holga iPhone Lens is coming with 10 lenses and filters for your iPhone, so you can snap picture with different styles and effects.

What’s great with Holga iPhone lens kit is the dimension. Unlike iPhone Lens Dial with huge dial and heavy mount, this lens kit is pretty slim with the protective case. you can easily dial the lenses around, and even with the protective case installed, you can still get access to all the function and features though the custom cutouts.

So what kind of lens and filters that you can enjoy with Holga iPhone Lens kit? From the picture above, you can easily figure out some of them being the heart shaped filter, red/green/yellow filter, blue ring filter, holga hole, dual image lens, triple image lens, quadruple image lens and macro lens. It certainly looks good and it’s only $30 to get one.

There is a new item introduced to the world today from the lens mug and vase maker, PhotoJojo. This item is called iPhone Lens Dial, a new iPhone 4 Accessory which could turn the iPhone into a retro-like regular camera with rotating lens. There are three different types of lens: 0.7x wide angle lens, 0.33x fish-eye lens, and 1.5x telephoto lens.

The case itself have a kind of boring black design, but I believe we are not going to install this camera case for styling either. iPhone Lens Dial has a pretty thick dimension, crafted with aircraft grade aluminum, and a rotating dial for easy lens switching. There is also twp tripod mounts on the lower side and sideways of the case. Sadly, the price is a little too deep in this case. You’ll have to spend $250 to get one.

This is the olloclip with quick connect lens solution for iPhone 4. Inside this small lens, there is a fisheye, wide-angle and macro lenses that you can use them easily and store it conveniently in your pocket. What you need to do is to put it on the edge of the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S (on the camera position), do a little adjustment and you are done.

The only problem that might arise is the price factor. This Olloclip is costing user $68 to own one. Do you think it’s a good price?

Taking a photo with Samsung MultiView MV800 is going to be an interesting experience as you won’t be limited by the LCD display. In a common digital camera, it’s difficult to self-portrait as we don’t have a clue whether the position is correct, or the face is smiling or the eyes are blinking. That why last year Samsung rolled out their ST225 and ST220 dual LCD digital camera to solve this problem. However, since the secondary LCD display is small, it may become a problem for some users.

The latest Samsung MultiView MV800 has a rotatable/adjustable main LCD screen where you can flip it around as much as 180-degree, from behind to the front view where you can view everything clearly. Also, taking images with this MultiView MV800 can be done from any Angle of your choice. It’s pretty similar with the concept we have posted here called “Zero Angle Digital Camera“.

Watch the following video demo for more details:

The screen is 3-inch large, so you don’t really have to focus too much when doing self-portrait compared to the mini sized secondary LCD display. The MV800 digital camera has come with 16.1-megapixels resolution lens sensor, 5x optical zoom, can record 720p movie, has dual mode image stabilization, can output the result to HDTV via HDMI output and there is a microSD/SDHC card slot, too! Supposedly it could handle up to 32GB, however, we found that the spec list in Samsung website has listed 2GB only. It doesn’t make sense as most digital camera can support up to 32GB of microSD card. However, if it’s true, it may become the biggest drawback for this camera.

Price wise, Samsung MultiView MV800 Digital camera is going to cost $280 a pop. Sadly, no info yet when it will be shipped.

Fancy for a telescope lens for your iPad 2? If you are trying to find the similar solution like Eye Scope for iPhone, this iPad 2 telescope lens from Brando is the right stuff for you.

See? It’s practically the iPad version of Eye Scope case. Brando redesign, enlarge it so you can pair your iPad 2 up with telescope zoom lens. According to the specs, this telescope lens is capable of providing up to 6x zoom using the native iPad 2 lens. That’s extremely useful if you are attending any upcoming keynotes and you are sitting too far from the stage.

All you have to do is to spend $26 on this telescope lens case, and you’ll get two items: the case and the telescope itself. You have to install the case before you can use the telescope, which is a big minus if you’ve already got a funky silicone case protecting the iPad 2. However, if your iPad 2 is still as naked as a baby, this Telescope Camera lens case should be a nice accessory for it.

A 3D camera is always about twin eyes in counter to the single eye on ordinary digital camera. It makes the camera looks funny, like a little mouthless cartoon head. Well, right now I’m talking about this DXG-018 3D camera that looks like a mouthless cartoon head. It’s a new 3D camera that won’t break your bank account to buy one.

Not only it’s cheap, it has come with its own 3D viewer. However, the specification for the camera itself is pretty low. It has got a 0.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and auto/ISO 100 sensitivity with ability to focus macro as near as 6-inch. As for the image sensor, this DXG-018 3D camera is capable of capturing images at 1.3-megapixels resolution, and save them into an SD card with size supported up to 16GB.

Each side of the lens will capture different perspectives of the subject in full color, and you can easily framing the subject with its built-in 144-inch LCD screen at the rear side of the 3D camera.

To view the 3D results, you’ll have to print the images and insert it (manually) to the 3D viewer that looks like a 3D glasses with private chamber.

This new DXG-018 is now available to buy directly from the DXGUSA website for $70.

I often hear about tripod for digital camera, but haven’t heard any MonoPod that has only one leg for standing while it still can support the camera for self-portrait or anything else. Yep, this is supposed to be the first tripod that has one leg. It’s called Twig Pod, that has its single leg folded into several section when in storage mode. Once unfolded and properly set up, Twig Pod is capable of providing 25-inch height where your camera can stand still. If you think Tripod is too bulky for you, this Twig Pod is definitely a solution that you can consider!

So how this Twig Pod stand on the ground firmly? Well, there is a spiky end that you can stuck it into the soil, but I doubt if you can stuck it into any asphalt road to take picture. That’s the downside, probably. So you have to find place where you can jab in like using a spear. However, it is still a nice piece of monopod that you can bring if you are going to a jungle exploration, or even desert exploration because you can easily find place to use this Twig Pod.

A company called Replay has just rolled out their new action camera for sport usage. Dubbed as Replay XD1080, this action camera is not only small in dimension, it’s also tough for extreme sport environments. Like the name suggested, Replay XD1080 has supported 1080p recording, which mean you can record every of your movement in high definition quality.

Replay XD1080 Action camera is suitable for those who want to record their sport session and upload it to Youtube for sharing. It could fit into helmets, skateboards, your clothes, or mount it on your sport car, motorbike or even speed boat. This little XD1080 action camera is water resistant and can survive from spills and crashes to the body.

Specification wise, Replay XD1080 Action Camera is capable of recording at 30 fps in 1080p resolution, up to 60fps while in 720p mode. It has 135-inch degree viewing field, can take photo in time-lapse mode (3, 5, 15, 30-second intervals) and there are various kind of mount come along within the package. Sadly, the price of this Replay XD1080 Action camera is still unknown. Probably would cost more than $200 because the current Replay XD camera is $180.

Those who love to play around with their iPhone’s camera might want to check this out. Unlike the Microscopic lens, this Kogeto Dot 360-degree panoramic lens will let you observes the world in full circle and snap the amazing panorama view like taking normal photograph with your iPhone.

The lens along might not that surprising, but what has become the stuff that does the magic on Kogeto Dot is the ability to linked together the video taken by two iPhones (with Kogeto Dot lens installed) or more that is on the same location. That’s mean you can capture wider and each of every corner of the area. It’s especially good to record friends in a birthday party. Linked together with your friends iPhones and you can do your little fun quest to make a full panoramic documentation of your friend’s birthday and present him/her a gift that he will never forget.

The company has just added a new product called Fuuvi Chocolate Digital Camera that is shaping like an edible tasty chocolate where you can munch ‘em when hungry. Well, no you can’t eat that anyway.

Unlike their Fuuvi digicam, this Fuuvi Chocolate digital camera take a bigger size in to the count. However, it’s sad that the company is only stuffing 0.3-megapixel CMOS lens with 640 x 480 resolution into this camera, and it’s only capable of storing up to 76 VGA quality images in total. The Fuuvi is practically better, but if you are looking into something unique, this $49.99 Fuuvi Chocolate camera is certainly a fun gadget to get.

Canon, Lumix, Panasonic, Sony, etc. No, I don’t think they are going to make one anyway because they think it’s not useful. However, things goes differently on Thinkgeek’s Lab. I’m not sure what motivate them, but they’ve actually launched their “Midnight Shot NV-1 Night Vision Digital Camera” that could capture what your eyes can’t see in the complete darkness! Hopefully no ‘soft stuffs’ (a.k.a. ghost) will be captured with this camera!
