Can’t have enough speed on the Intel SSD 510 series? Well, here come a new improved series of Intel SSD – the 520 Series. This intel Solid state drive is using SATA III 6.0Gbps interface, 25nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, SandForce controller to boost its overall performance, and a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption to make sure the data is not easily accessible by third party.

According to Intel themselves, this 520 series SSD is capable of reading up to 550 MB/s and write at 520 MB/s with the random read performance at 50,000 IOPS and random write up to 80,000 IOPS.

I’ve ever used their Solid State Drive 320 series so I know how great their SSD quality is. As for the available size, Intel is going to release this 520 series in 5 different capacity of 60GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB and 480GB.

Price wise, they are going to cost $149 (60GB), $229(120GB), $369(180GB), $509(240GB) and $999(480GB).

Canon is preparing to release their new Selphy series of photo printer around the May 2012. This new photo printer is dubbed as Selphy CP810, a new compact size printer that has a built-in tilting 2.7-inch colour LCD display, improved Auto Image Optimizer function, and the capability to print on postcard, letter, and credit card size paper in an amazing speed.

Canon Selphy CP810 also offering an amazing depth and gradation of colour, up to 100 years of print, and the capability to print from memory cards, PictBridge compatible camera and USB flash drive.

What’s great is that you can use it for portable printing as it has come with it’s own battery pack. All you have to do is hook it up with the memory card, load the paper and you can print it anywhere you like. Though the source is not mentioning anything about the battery life, I assume you would be able to print a handful of photos before you need to rejuice the printer.

Canon will release this Selphy CP810 compact photo printer for £99 in the UK, which is equal to around $156 in the States.

According to Transcend, SSD720 could run at 550MB/s read speed and 500MB/s write speed. It sounds pretty cool, but it’s still not a world’s record breaker yet.

Transcend will release this SSD in three capacity of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB for the price of $149, $249, and $449, respectively. I really wish the price for SSD could be lowered down. No idea why it still won’t budge from the high price…

Amazon begins shipping out their Kindle Touch edition internationally starting this February. As you may have known from the start, Kindle Touch is the only and cheapest ebook reader offered by Amazon at the $99, and it’s coming with a 6-inch multi-touch screen for navigation instead of hard buttons on the bezel. What’s Amazon has offered to the International market is the ability to download ebooks from Amazon in less than 60 seconds, and the device will be able to store up to 3,000 ebooks.

As far as how many country Amazon could reach with their Kindle Touch, I’ve seen that some of the country in South East Asia is not capable of getting this ebook because their service is not available yet.

So the context “international” is not really suitable yet. It would be great if the device could be used anywhere in the world, as long as an WIFI connection is available. But It seems Amazon haven’t yet to really “release” their device for the worldwide market.

Anyway, if you wish to own Kindle Touch International Edition, you should use this Amazon page to check on your country. If it’s unavailable, they will tell you.

Well, it’s actually not a real human. They are alike, but it’s actually a plain RC airplane with human design. Dubbed as RCSuperHero, it’s a 78-inches large flying toy that weighing in 3.3 pounds which will fool people into thinking that a new age superhuman has been born to this world and it’s currently flying in the sky doing their daily patrol.

No idea if it will make people hallucinating or not, but it’s certainly an interesting toy to play with. According to DVICE, you can actually purchase the kit to make your own flying human. It will cost your $345 for the RCSuperHero kit, add several bucks more for the PDF guides if you wish to master the toy.

Getting tired of your usual stiff bike helmet or design? Well, soon you will be able to get this new bike helmet that could be folded to compress the size smaller that you can easily store it on your bag. They called it Overrade a folding bike helmet designed by French Studio Agency 360 (Patrick Jouffret and Philippe Arrouart) in 2010.

Unlike any crappy designed folding bike helmet, this Overade is actually pretty cool either in the folded or unfolded position. The design has also accommodated breathing holes so you won’t stuck your head with smelly sweat scent all the time.

Even it’s not stated on the source, I guess this Overade will be available in various kind of colors. The most obvious example is on the image above: The Red and black color. It would be great if It has both green and blue color as well.

As for the availability, Overade foldable bike helmet is going into the production later in this year, and you’ll be able to get them later in this year as well.

Sadly, no pricing detail offered by the manufacturer yet. I will post more about it when more information has been released.

This type of concept is a long waited one for guys like me. I have no idea how many battery I’ve replaced for my wireless mouse as I’ve used it quite a lot for work and play. It’s both expensive if you think it carefully when comparing to a casual wired mouse, and not really-earth friendly as battery is a dangerous stuff for the Mother Earth, too!

With this concept – the Leaf Wireless Kinetic Mouse, I can both save money and safe the earth from hazardous stuffs like an alkaline battery. The concept is stating that the Leaf Wireless Kinetic Mouse is capable of self-powering by collecting energy from the movement made by users. There is a triangle design with three roller balls that will move as we move the mouse around, which then convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.

The concept promises that user will never have to replace the battery again if they are using Leaf Wireless Kinetic mouse. It sounds pretty cool for me, but no really understand how the triangle self-powered system will work in real life.

I’m sincerely hope that such kind of mouse will be produce soon (or ASAP) because it’s not only good for the environment, it also enhanced the quality of the users. The mouse is not only eco-friendly and green, but it’s also very modern, futuristic and slimy. If it’s released next year (let’s hope so) for $100, I’m the first to grab it for sure.

Devraj Bhadra has come up with a nice idea of cable organizer called “ISI Desk Clamp” which is simple yet effective in organizing plugs and cable.

Probably inspired by the binder clip cable organizer, ISI Desk clamp is shaping like a binder clip without the steel handle. It has several notches where you can slip in cable and hand the cable head on the ISI Desk clamp.

Of course, it has a downside where you should find a desk with edge for clip on. If the desk don’t have any edge or the edges are to thick, ISI desk clamp cable clip will not work.

Another downside is that this stuff is just a concept, if you want something similar, use your binder clip instead. It can hold cable as well!

Check out this interesting tablet stand called Octa WhaleTail + Vacuum Dock. It’s a two-part tablet stand – the cute WhaleTail and a Vacuum Dock.

I’ve no idea why it has to be a tail of whale, but the design is pretty interesting when you put it on your desk. The Octa WhaleTail will docked into the Vacuum dock, while the vacuum dock has an integrated vacuum suction that could let it stick to almost any tablet’s rearplate tightly.

The vacuum dock itself is measuring at 3.95 x 3.95 x 5.9-inch, which is friendly even for a small tablet. Not limited by those two mode, you can even use it to gain a lower angle for typing ergonomic or adjust the optimal position as you like.

The tablet stand could be used on both portrait and landscape position by rotating the whale tail. Thanks to the tail, it has also added some grip when you are holding your tablet.

Who said that riding an unicycle has a hard learning curve? No, it won’t be the same anymore as Focus Designs has come up with a better design of their SBU. That term is not Small Butt Unicycle. There is no discrimination here. It’s stand for Self-Balancing Unicycle – and it’s already on its 2nd version right now.

The Version 2 of SBU is now coming with a better sensors, equipped with 1000 watt motor that could provides up to 10 mph of travel speed for 12 miles per charge. In fact, it has come with seven sensors, gyros, accelerometers to monitor the balancing of the unicycle, the data is transmitted to a processor where the calculations are made. After processed, the data will be sent directly to the hub-mounted motor and it will self adjust to either speed up or slow down to maintain the axial balance.

You can fully recharge this unicycle in 2 hours, and it could travel about 20km. Sadly, once the battery run out, this unicycle is practically a useless as you can’t pedal it like the ordinary unicycle. But Focus Design is also offering an extra battery if you are willing to pay for it to cover extra miles.

Kinect is really wonderful for Xbox 360 where we can play games with our body movement and extract some sweats for a healthier gaming experience. This device has really chance the way we interact with games or applications, and perhaps it will be the key to decrease the obesity rate in the States. We have heard that Microsoft has tested the firmware for PC so PC user can also have fun with it, but haven’t really see any improvement and which application has uses this feature.

Now, we have got a further information that Microsoft is eyeing to integrate Kinect with future laptops. According to TheDaily, there is prototype (an unidentified netbook) of the integration of netbook and kinect, but there is no further details on this matter.

Microsoft has confirmed that they are currently working on the desktop version of Kinect. The question is, when will Microsoft officially released this PC-friendly kinect? Will it be a firmware update alone or there will be an entire new Kinect made just for PC user? No matter which one, keyboard and mouse will never be alone anymore in the future.

My Book series from Western Digital (WDC) is getting a new product line called Thunderbolt DUO. This new storage solution is the first series to support Intel’s Thunderbolt technology that could run at a blazing speed.

The Thunderbolt DUO is coming with two 3.5-inch hard drive in RAID 0 stripped array with up to 2Gbps transfer speed, which is equal to 250MBps. This storage is certainly not making a good use of the thunderbolt interface (as it can run at a much faster state), but it’s sufficient to compete with some SSD’s performances.

“Thunderbolt technology offers the speed needed for creative professionals and enthusiasts who produce, edit, or need quick access to large files, including HD video,” said Jody Bradshaw, general manager of WD’s consumer storage solutions. “During the demonstration, twin Thunderbolt ports show amazing flexibility while allowing daisy-chaining of up to six My Book Thunderbolt Duo systems or other high performance peripherals for an enhanced workflow process”

This Western Digital My Book Thunderbolt DUO is going to be available in 4Tb or 6TB with no pricing details offered.
