Nowadays compact size media storage is really overwhelming. Just after Panasonic announced their 64GB SDXC memory card, Silicon Power has come up with a better CompactFlash Card that could store as much as 128GB of data!

This compactflash card was dubbed as the world’s first 400x compactflash card that support both PI Mode-6 and Multi-Word DMA 4 transfer mode and you would get about 90MB/sec of write speed out of this little card. I can’t imagine how convenient our future will be if such a mini sized accessories keep pop in.

Another giant of flash drive has been introduced by Corsair. Now we’ve got three Big and Giant Flash drives with 12GB storage capacity (edge tech, Kingston and Corsair), pretty soon we’ll be able to start the second round of Godzilla flash drives!

This Corsair Flash Voyager GT USB Flash Drive has 32MB/s read speed and average 25.6MB/s write speed. Nothing new here, but such a speed could help you transport huge data or files (such as HD video or huge databases) pretty quick.

The only downside is on the pricing. It scored the similar price mark as SSD, $399.99 for 128GB is quick a high price. But you’ll never have to worry about bumps or knocks since it’s completely memory driven. Corsair Flash Voyager GT 128GB flash drive has been available for sale, if you are interested to get one, you can go to Newegg for the detail.

Well, I have to admitted that the price is still expensive. However, it’s $150 cheaper than Kingston. Edge Tech ‘DiskGO’, the brand for this 128GB USB flash drive will be available on next month, July 31th.

Kingston, after the succession of 32GB DataTraveler 150 flash drive, they released yet another “Super Giant” Flash drive and claimed the World’s first title for their 128GB Flash drive.

As the world leading memory company, Kingston has made another great milestone for their company. The DataTRaveler 200 is the latest series that comes with three flash drive with different sizes. Starting from 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with pricing at $120, $213 and $546, respectively.

The Kingston DataTraveler 200 featured a Password protection system via encryption software, Up to 20MB/sec read, 10MB/sec write, and the USB head is retractable without separate cap.

Well, I guess no one actually need such a large size of flash drive for their mobile data. And perhaps people will choose to buy a SSD instead because the price of $500+ is sufficient for us to get one Samsung FlashSSD 250GB.

However, if you really need it badly, the 128GB kingston DataTraveler 200 is not available directly. You should contact the e-retailer and request for it.
