The conventional sleep mask do nothing but closing your eyes so you can sleep even the light is on. Of course, thanks to the mask, you are unable to decide when the morning will come.

Taylor with his LUMI Sleep mask gives you the idea even your eyes have been enclosed with the sleep mask. The LUMI sleep mask is a special one because it has an embedded lighting effect to let you know when you should wake up. Before getting into the bed, you can set the wake-up time on the alarm controller, and when the alarm goes off in the morning, the sleep mak will glow from inside, give you the clue that the morning has come.

If you set the alarm on 6 o’clock, LUMI sleep mask will gradually lighten up at 5:30. If you are not aware of the light, it also has an alarm sounds at the end of the light effect, which is exactly on 6 o’clock.

Designers keeps coming up with weird clock designs that try to keep our ass of our bed once the time has up. We have seen many alarm clock design in the past, some designs remained designs but some have become real products, too. Now here is a new alarm clock called IQ Alarm, which I think it’s too cool to be true to make sure that we won’t back to sleep once the alarm goes off.

IQ Alarm Clock is a special digital clock with large display like a tablet. But what’s make it special is not the display, it is the system inside.

Normally, an alarm clock should have snooze button, but IQ Alarm clock has no such thing. When the alarm goes off, you must solve 3 tricky IQ test questions before you can stop the screams. Now, after solve puzzle and question, I guess there is no way that we can go back to sleep again as our head has been cleared from the sleepiness. Wonderful.

If you love to ride down to your downtown with bicycle, you might interested in this new anti-theft alarm. I’m sure you have equipped yourself with padlocks and chains, but if it’s not enough you can install this Alarm from Virtual Village.

But judging from its look on the picture above, how do the alarm functioning when thieve are getting close to your bicycle? This Anti-theft alarm has been equipped with motion detection to detect movement around the bicycle. If it stay long enough without disarming the alarm, it will emit loud noise at 8db for 15 seconds, and keep repeating itself if the ‘object’ is not moving away.

To disarm the alarm, there is a A/B/C buttons where you can input up to 4 combination key. This sounds nice, but let’s hope there won’t be any deaf animals near the street or they will be the be the one that trigger the alarm, not the theft.

The Cool yellow buddy from the Pac-man game is now your personal alarm clock! Pac-man lover will absolutely love to have one of this nice Pac-Man alarm clock that features Snooze, Alarm Off and Backlight buttons illustrated with the cherries, bell and ol’ Pinky.

Do you have a recurring dream in which you are being chased by comedy ghosts whilst gobbling glowing pills? We do, but it’s only because we can’t wait to be shaken from our slumber each morning by the retro-tastic Pac Man Alarm Clock.

Officially licensed, this kitsch tribute to an 80s icon diddly-woos you out of boboland via the evocative start-up tune from Pac Man. It even emits a few seconds of spine-tingling wakka-wakka-ing. You’ll be transported back to the arcade the second you hear it. You might even start checking your ‘jama pockets for ten pees.

Battery operated, this eye-catching alarm clock features Snooze, Alarm Off and Backlight buttons represented by cherries, a bell and naughty ol’ Pinky – and if that particularly 80s name means nothing to you, there’s little point telling you about our other recurring dream involving Gorf, Duran Duran and Kim Basinger. Wakka-wakka!

This Pac-Man Alarm Clock is only £14.99 available at Firebox.

LARK Up is an alarm clock that will be rolled out next year onwards. What’s special in this alarm clock is that it won’t disturb your sleep forcefully using annoying sounds and dings. It will either use the light nudges or via the separated wristband that would vibrate your hands to wake you up. Well, it feel like your pet’s playing your hand to call off your bed. So gently and it won’t knock you out of your bed like the KipKay version.

LARK Up is a mobile accessories, means it won’t work without a phones like iPhone in the sync. Sadly there is no Android version mentioned, that would be better if users can also sync the LARK Up with android phones. LARK Up will be available for $99 when it has hit the store.

It is just a great stuff for all age, as long as you have the passion in it.

LEGO, in the gadget-world, has been mixed and transformed like crazy into something else usable beside treating it as a toy. We have a lot of LEGO entries here at HardwareSphere, and we just can’t have enough of them.

Recently, we have found another one that looks pretty cool and useful to kick our butt out from the bed in the morning. In the form of a Big size of LEGO block, this Radio Alarm Clock might be one of your interest if you are a LEGO die-hard fans. It still has its playful style attached, a big knobs of ‘LEGO’ and some small buttons (with LEGO trademark) for adjusting the mode and features.

Mains or battery powered, the Lego Radio Alarm Clock is rammed with handy features: as well as an AM/FM radio it boasts an adjustable backlit display, 12/24 hour clock and an alarm function that wakes you up via buzzer or your fave radio station.

It may looks like a big alarm clock, but it is actually measuring at 24.2(W) x 16.6(H) x 12(D) cm only. Well, if you are interested, you can find it selling for £24.99 (about $37 USD) at Firebox.com.

Need someone to wake you up and greet you every morning with some funny comments? Well, you might recall that Sleepy Head – Mr. Radio Clock, but this one is different.

It looks just like an ordinary retro wooden clock, unlike that bad mouth Mr.Clock Radio and you would guess it will ring just like an ordinary alarm clock, right? Nope! That’s the different in this clock.

Every morning, Jeeves awakens Sir with a most smooth and comforting way, His dulcet voice soothes Sir into gentle wakefulness without the unpleasant slap in the face that is normal alarm-clock operation. The heavy wood and the roman numerals on the timepiece’s face lend a old world gothic flavor to the clock.

Yep, it’s talking to you every morning with some funny commentaries. You can download 9 of 130 sounds example at ThinkGeek if you would like to hear the sounds and I can make sure there are all hillarious for your morning. The clock will also feature a Call-to-Sleep sounds so you could settle your things up and go to bed to have your nice sleep. Very nice actually, and it could be a good companion if you are living alone.

My deepest impression on iLuv gadget is there internet radio. But here is another series from iLuv that pretty impressed me with its feature. It’s a Dock Station, and not just for one iPod or iPhone, it’s for two of them.

iLuv iMM183 Dock Station

Its code name is iMM183 with the dual dock station as the strong point of this series. Beside dual docking system, iLuv iMM183 also have built-in a whether alerts and alarm clock. FM radio also available in case you want to enjoy your local radio station. I also has supprt for weather text alerts from SAME or NOAA that will come through on radio channels preset.

Personally, I love that sleek glossy black color with the white backlight shine out from the display. Well, although it’s cool looking, I’m not sure about how is the sound quality when tuning our favorite songs. It should be on some good level of sound quality since it’s from iLuv.

iLuv iMM183 dual docking station set to release this late March 2009. We will update you when it has become available.

Gun O’Clock is a new version of Laser Target Alarm. Well, it seems we haven’t cover that older laser target alarm, so let’s have a quick view on what is that alarm all about.

Laser Target Alarm is not about a laser toy that will sounds an alarm. It’s a personal tools to wake you up with some level of concentration requirement. See this picture for more detail:

Can you guess how to turn this alarm off once it ring like crazy? Yep, just use the laser remote and shoot the laser into the bull-eye to set the alarm off.

With this concept, somehow it can cure our dizzy head after wake up so we can begin our day with a better concentration and focus. I told you it need some level of concentration, right?!

Okay, that’s the older version. So what is this new Gun O’Clock all about? It is practically the same, except the new system that allow you to set the difficulty setting.

You can either choose the easy or hard difficulty to shut off the annoying alarm.

Gun OClock

On easy level, you only need one beam of laser precisely to the middle of the bull-eye. But on Hard setting, it will takes up to 5-beams to turn it off. Oh well, that’s will really wake you up for sure!

Gun O’Clock is from Bandai, and you guess what, It’s still wandering in Japan and you can them if you understand Japanese. Here is the link to Bandai JP site.

What if you don’t understand? Well, the older version is not bad too! although it doesn’t have a difficulty setting, the design looks better especially the dummy man and the Alien-like laser remote.

You might find the older Laser Target Alarm at ThinkGeek and it’s not that expensive to get one. It’s only the same price of one online games like Dinner Dash.

(Price: $17.99 | available at ThinkGeek | via Apartment Therapy)

Because of that, there are several sleep breaker stuffs to ruin our nice morning. Although recently we have the vibration-only alarms, it seems it’s not good enough to welcoming our new day without some tune of good musics.

Well, here is a revolutionized Classic Alarm clock with some additional modern tweak.

“The MP3 Alarm Clock freesyou from the annoying beeps, bleeps and clanging of everyday alarmclocks, allowing you to store your very own personalised ’time to getup’ sounds.

Wake up at your chosen hour to any of the ready loadedsounds on the clock. The fun really starts when you hook it up to yourPC and create your own 45 second clips.

Waking up is hard enough as itis, so it’s imperative that you soften the blow and ensure you haveyour very own favourite dawn chorus to make it that much more bearable.“
