Amazon begins shipping out their Kindle Touch edition internationally starting this February. As you may have known from the start, Kindle Touch is the only and cheapest ebook reader offered by Amazon at the $99, and it’s coming with a 6-inch multi-touch screen for navigation instead of hard buttons on the bezel. What’s Amazon has offered to the International market is the ability to download ebooks from Amazon in less than 60 seconds, and the device will be able to store up to 3,000 ebooks.

As far as how many country Amazon could reach with their Kindle Touch, I’ve seen that some of the country in South East Asia is not capable of getting this ebook because their service is not available yet.

So the context “international” is not really suitable yet. It would be great if the device could be used anywhere in the world, as long as an WIFI connection is available. But It seems Amazon haven’t yet to really “release” their device for the worldwide market.

Anyway, if you wish to own Kindle Touch International Edition, you should use this Amazon page to check on your country. If it’s unavailable, they will tell you.

Have you pre-order the new Kindle Fire? Well, even the exact delivery date is on November 15th, a month away, it’s been reported that the pre-orders are heating up significantly. According to what’s been reported by digital marketing firm eDataSource, Amazon has successfully generated up to 100,000 pre-orders on their first release. Of course, it’s way behind what’s Apple has achieved with their iPad release (about 300,000 units in the first day), but it’s still quite a milestone for an ebook reader. I thought it would sell a lot better because of the friendly price-tag, but the fact is saying a different result anyway.

Kindle Fire is an Android tablet/ebook reader hybrid, so perhaps people who’ve got themselves a new shiny Android tablet won’t take their chance to pre order this new shiny stuff. Amazon would get a better job if they release it earlier in 2010…

No doubt, When comparing to the most popular tablets in the world, Amazon Kindle Fire is really the best in term of pricing. The following is the recent tablets comparison table made by Reuters to show how the Kindle Fire looks like in front of the big players. The specification is a little bit lower, but the killer price tactic has covered all the weakness and banished all complains that is ever made.

See? Even the specs is lower, I would always happy to see that $199 at the end of the table. It’s $300 cheaper than all of them with just a few of the feature dropped. I wouldn’t really care that my tablet couldn’t take photo as I already own a smartphone and digital camera for this purpose. Also, I don’t think that the storage size of the tablet really matter because Amazon has provide me with and Unlimited cloud storage.

Amazon Kindle Fire is really “sufficient” for core reading activities and since it’s powered by Android OS, I would never feel boring because I have the wealthy apps market to explore.

Give me one of this “Fire” right now, Amazon!

Yesterday we have seen how the Amazon Kindle Fire looks like, however, the curiosity is still high because we haven’t seen how it works in a live show. I do hope Amazon will release the International series as well like their previous generation of Kindle ebook reader. This $199.99 ebook reader tablet is just too tempting for me to not spending my hard earned money. But I’m not in the US anyway so I can save it for later use.

Recently we have heard a report from several source that Amazon has registered several interesting brand new domain names as if they are looking forward to make a good use of it in the future. First, we heard about Kindlewave.com has been registered, and later today, two other domains the KindleAir.com, KindleEarth.com and KindleWater.com. It sounds like Amazon is playing around the Elements, which only left the “Fire” Element if Jeff want to make it a complete set. Well, if you’ve watched Avatar The Last Airbender then you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Of course, a big company such as Amazon to play around with few domains is not something new anyway. But the coincident with elements are pretty funny to think about on what kind of product Amazon will push forward. They’ve been news about their new Kindle device as well as new Android tablets. If they are going to be named after the elements, I think the product would worth a look since they are from Amazon, the legendary online store, not from everywhere else.

We have seen lots of Amazon’s competitors to have their own Android tablet to play with, but haven’t seen any obvious movement from Amazon themselves. We are sure Jeff is not going to stay quiet, and it turned out to be true. Recently, Coated and Cult of Mac has reported that Amazon is developing their own Android tablet with the help of Taiwan-based notebook manufacturer Quanta Computer.

Quanta Computer is also the company who’ve created tablet for both Sony and RIM, so their work should quite reliable. It’s also reported that Amazon is planning to buy a touch screen manufacturer’s full capacity. Amazon has been long as one of the best ebook reader conquerer, but they are heavily attacked by Apple with their tablet device (iPad and iPad 2).

I guess it’s time for Amazon to shout their answer to the challenge put by Apple, and we are sure Amazon’s tablet is something that worth to wait for.

It seems Jeff has launched a new version of Amazon Kindle and it’s now priced for just $114 only. Known as “Kindle With Special Offers“, this special version is in fact $25 cheaper than the existing model.

However, from the specification list, it seems there is no much different at all. Except, Amazon Kindle with special offers has no 3G access (WiFi-only) but has several new features like Kindle book lending, access to Audible audiobooks and a special offers screensaver.

In marketing talk, this new WiFi-only Kindle is actually just a new model that accept advertisement and promotion from Amazon. Each time when you are starting up the Kindle, you will get a home screen with offers and deals on new Kindle books or advertisement.

Kindle user then can click on the advertisement and buy anything offered on the special offer page on amazon. Question is, will people intentionally trying to buy themselves a device that will serve ads on their reading time just because they want to save $25? I hope I’m not missing something here.

Nintendo 3DS has been official announced and the pricing has been set. Some of the retailers have started to taking pre-orders and today Amazon has also started to sell the pre-order, too!

The price is $249.99, with the shipping date set on March 27th, 2011. Although there is an issue in Japan about eye-fatigue and dizziness when using 3DS, there is no harm to tried out because not everyone will get the sickness.

The launching will be accompanied with 30 exclusive game titles with some of them already available for pre-order, too. So if you are a hardcore gamer with deep pocket, you can also order them directly on Amazon right now.

• 1 million Kindles sold: March 2009 (with the launch of Kindle 2)

Over the last 3 years, Amazon has sold over 12 million of Kindle and about 15 million Kindle ebooks sold with over 10 million paid books purchased. Jeff has made quite a big bucks there and the company has predicted that Amazon could sell over 35 million of Kindles by the end of 2012.

But I’m doubt if they can make it or not, especially when mirasol tablet/ebook reader will start to invade the market on this year. Will readers still choose the monochrome ebook reader over the color version if both device have the same battery performance and features?

The book is told to be twice the length of a New Yorker feature, or about a few chapters of a typical ebook. This new Kindle Singles will be sold under a much cheaper price than the common books sold in Kindle Store.

Kindle Singles books could be purchased just once, and you can read it anywhere using any compatible devices such as Kindle, iPod touch, iPad, PC, Android-based devices, and so on. Bookworms should go jumping happy because they can read more than 700,000 books on their kindle right now. Just pay a little of money per ebook and they should be able to lurk around the e-books for months or years without meeting with the bright sun outdoor.

Well, the fact is saying Amazon US has around 700,000 ebooks ready to sell, and the number is increasing steadily. The figures was achieved just about three weeks time, where in the past 3 weeks the library has got 670,000 books only. Oh, that’s mean Kindle readers can get all over 10,000 new ebooks each week to stuffed to their brain! Oh that’s overwhelming.

This also means that the hard cover books market is going to be substituted sooner or later, and Kindle ebook reading machine is going to be sold like a hot cake in this decade. So if you haven’t own your own Kindle yet, it’s always not too late to have one now, considering Amazon kind is $139 only.

Although the new Apple TV haven’t properly landed on the market, Amazon has started their 1 dollar video on demand rent campaign right now to warm up the market. The previous price for renting a TV shows on Amazon Video on Demand is $2.99, which mean Amazon has dropped $2 from the leasing price.

This marketing move has cause Amazon to lose $2 on ever TV shows rented since they haven’t make a deal with any TV studios and Amazon will keep paying the TV shows for $2.99. I’m not sure what’s hiding in Amazon’s sleeve, but this is really a great deal for video-maniac where they can save more money watching their favorite TV shows.

Just released 5 days ago, the Amazon Kindle (new version) has already sold out and new buyer have to wait (pre-order) until September to get their share. This is impressive. I believe Amazon has done their pre-launch marketing pretty well before rolling out their new Kindle model.

Which mean, if you order the new Amazon kindle right now, your oders will be delayed until 4th of September 2010. Well, it’s obvious. Xbox 360 Slim goes black, so is the New Kindle DX. Just announced, Kindle DX black version has been released from Amazon’s lab. Its pricing is set firm on $379, practically lower than the original Kindle DX white version or the first model. The refreshed Kindle DX Black edition is not only cheaper, its 9.7-inch has 50 percent better in contrast, which giving a better reading experience for us. The new model’s shipping date is on July 7th, but you can pre-order it now.

Thanks to the strive competition, we can now enjoy a lower price for both Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble’s Nook. On Monday, Nook’s pricing has been dropped to $199 from $259 ($60 dropped) that looks quite a great deal for bookworms. However, Amazon has also dropped their Kindle to $189 from $259 ($70 dropped) in response to Nook’s challenge. This one too is a great deal. However, in terms of technologies and features, Nook’s beat Kindle hands down.

They both share same technology as an e-ink ebook reader, however, nook has a built-in cellular wireless connection (AT&T is the carrier), a built-in Wi-Fi adapter, which gives you free access the AT&T-powered hotspots in Barnes & Noble retail stores, colorful touchscreen that could turn into a software keyboard and for those who dislike the AT&T version can now pre-order the Wi-Fi only version of Nook that sells even more cheaper at $149 only.

Will Amazon Kindle’s market get bitten by this newcomer? Highly possible… unless Amazon to roll out a new better Kindle 3 or Kindle ‘what’, sooner or later Nook will take the lead in their market.
