In the past, a stronger performing processing unit is always a match to a decreasing battery life on portable device such as a laptop. However, that’s a story from the yesteryears anyway. Since AMD invented Fusion APUs, not only the mobile processor is faster, the battery life is also improving significantly.

AMD has recently announced a new update for their AMD Fusion APU processor by inserting the C and E-Series APUs to the market. This update bring the processor to a better HD graphic capability, DDR3 1333 support for wider memory bandwidth, faster performance and video playback, DisplyaPort ++ support and more on the support for HDMI 1.4a that is capable of displaying 3D contents.

The most interesting improvement is on the battery life. AMD Fusion C-Series APU is capable of getting long 12-hours of battery life, while the E-Series APU is a little bit over the 10-hours battery life.

Not only that, according to the information we have received, most of ultraportables that uses AMD Fusion APU are affordable. You can actually pick up a system that play HD video, 10 hours of battery life for under $399 when it’s hitting the market.

It’s interesting to see how AMD Fusion APU is going to impact the market, and how Intel will response to this attack. Can Intel’s second generation precessors defeat this technology?

Rejoice if you are have planned to get an AMD system in the near future. Recently the company has announced that they will be jumping ahead to push USB 3.0 interface integrated on their motherboard chipset and are ready for both Desktop and laptop system. While Intel is still busy developing their ThunderBolt connection, AMD has gone ahead to use the common faster ‘superspeed’ connection to grab the market attention fast. I’ve seen a lot of USB 3.0 devices, but only seen a few of ThunderBolt compatible hard drives. AMD certainly will win the match if Intel is just trying to be the purple cow without actually know what the market’s demand is.

Also, with this kind of built-in implementation, user can eliminate the need to plug an external device that could result in shorter battery life and make the laptop hotter (if you are using expresscard).

AMD has just released the official image for their new high-performing graphic card Radeon HD 6990 series. However, beside leaking the images, there is no specification details released by AMD yet.

Despite of the complete silent at AMD side, it’s been expected that Radeon HD 6990 GPU is a combination of two HD 6970 GPUs in one PCB, which lifting the memory bandwidth to 3000GB/s, 3,000+ shaders, and 4GB dedicated VRAM on single graphic card.

However, the biggest drawback is the fact that AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphic card will consume about 300w of power, alone. That’s as high as one barebone system that can do most task you throw in! If you don’t mind, you should check your PSU if it can support this upgrade or not. No idea if it can be crossfired or not, but this single card alone is already a monster!

It’s been said that AMD Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950 graphic cards are has a lower performance when comparing with nVidia GeForce GTS 580 series. That’s why when these brotherhood appear in the market, it would be price $50 – $70 USD lower than GeFoce GTX 580.
The great news for AMD CPU overclocker or enthusiast. Some folks have managed to break the world’s fastest clock speed for Desktop PC’s CPU at 7GHz using AMD’s Phenom II processor. This is *very fast, consider 5Ghz is the usual overclocked CPU speed that have been accomplished by several experts OC-er. Now, 7Ghz was able to achieve largely thanks to the liquid helium cooling material that could hold the AMD Phenom II temperature and make it cooler. This impressive mod and overclocking result has been recorded and made into a movie clip which you can watch it below:

This is not really the usual deal article that we posted on our deal section. But it’s kind of price drop announced by AMD saying they will sold their AMD Quad Core CPU, to be exactly the Athlon II X4 for $99 only. This is such a nice treat by AMD for those who build PC by their own.

According to Gadgetell, the price is absolutely the lowest, $50 cheaper that Intel’s Core 2 Quad Q8200. If you have yourself an AMD system, perhaps this is a great change to upgrade your PC so you can actually run Windows 7 next month.

Yes, you read it correct. A single ATI Radeon 5800 Series GPU is enough to power up to six ultra high-definition displays. And guess what, at a recent press conference AMD actually showcased this beauty.
The next gen AMD Radeon GPU is going to amaze most of us. Using only a single GPU/graphic card, you can get up to 6 HD LCDs to display your desktop view. This GPU is later nicked with ‘Eyefinity’ which is the latest AMD radeo HD 5800 graphic card model.

This could save lots of hassles in getting multiple display on single PC. The ATI Eyefinity GPU getting an eye-definition optical clarity because it’s 12 times better than 1080p. Amazing, an Ultra HD devices to give more enjoyable experiences, either for entertainment, work, or even education.

6 displays mixed together and you will get a whopping 7680 x 3200 pixels. That’s HUGE and the demonstration was using Dell monitors, looks very tempting for gamers and hardcore video editing freaks.

AMD Radeon HD 5800 video card will be released later on this month, so get your money ready if you want to own this freaking cool graphic card. Also remember to get 6 HD LCD monitors to test out the ability!

It’s all thanks to AMD to released their latest high-end graphic card for professional. The code name is ATI FirePro V8750, a GPU designed especially for workstations or server.

ATI FirePro V8750 has 55nm manufacturing fabs RV770 GPU, 800 stream processor and whopping 2GB GDDR5 memory with 115.2GB/s memory bandwidth. This is huge amount of bandwidth provided and the graphic card also have a Dual Link DVI port and DisplayPort outputs. Again, this is another Super-priced gadgets after the Taser Gun X3. Buy one of this is enough to get one base rig of Alienware M17x…

Digital content creation and high end CAD users have been held hostage to high-priced solutions for advanced rendering. The ATI FirePro V8750 3D workstation graphics accelerator delivers unparalleled performance and two GB of frame buffer memory for less than $1,800 MSRP. Creative and engineering professionals can now afford the powerful graphics they deserve.

According to TCMagazine, this Processor is 200Mhz higher than the previous Phenom II X4 955, and it has comes with 6MB of L3 cache, memory controller for DDR2 or DDR3, up to 4000 MHz HyperTransport and TDP of 125W. Well, lots of jargon here, so don’t confused by them if you are not the techie-guy. All you have to know is this processor is a 45nm processor (low heat), and you can pretty much overclock it to a good speed to kill your games.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 black edition will be available soon for above $250. The exact pricing will be revealed once it has become available.
