GooApple – which sounds like the mixture of Google and Apple and it is one anyway. Chinese cloner has made a mix of the most popular stuff from both companies, which is the iPhone 4 from Apple and Android OS from Google.

From the source it indicates that GooApple is a low end smartphone that has the look of an iPhone 4, while the software is running Android OS. Interestingly, GooApple has a cute logo of Android with Apple heart.

GooApple is running Android 2.2 Froyo, but the interface has been modified so it looks similar to iOS’ interface. Under the hood, GooApple smartphone is powered by 600MHz Qualcomm processor with unspecified RAM size and storage size. There is a 5-megapixel camera at rear size and 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

It’s not too shabby anyway. It’s just not up to the standard of the real iPhone 4. Apart from that, this smartphone is quite good actually.

Recently, Samsung has released a great news about their sales record of their newest smartphone – the Galaxy S II Android phone. It seems the company has managed to sold over 1 million of Galaxy S II in South Korea alone in just about 1 month from the launching day.

The strong signal has been so strong in the first week, and the time taken to reach 1 million sales is about the half of time of Galaxy S I. Perhaps it’s one of the fact that Samsung is South Korea’s local product that make the sales booming. Even after comparing with iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S II has a better sales performance without excessive promotion like Apple’s.

If it’s branding problem, it’s clearly that Apple iPhone 4 should be the winner. But we are sure Samsung have their local benefits where the citizen would love to buy their own country’s brand instead of getting from others. Well, it’s clearly my own random rants, so don’t take it seriously

As for the fans in US that has waited for this second generation of Galaxy S, there is no details yet when Samsung will launch it in the States or elsewhere beside South Korea. But there is an expectation that users in US will be able to get their share in this Summer season.

Exactly tomorrow, Verizon Wireless will begin accepting pre-orders for the super fun Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play smartphone, or what we have known as the PlayStation Phone from the start. Verizon officially announced that the pre-orders open on May 19th, and the Android phone itself will go on sale starting on May 26th.

As the matter of the pricing, Verizon is lowering down the price to $199.99, but you are going to sign up with their 2-year contract before you can take home the XPERIA Play. We’ll it’s probably a problem if you’ve had too much cell phone contract you have in your hand.

Anyway, to refresh what Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play all about, it’s an Android phone that Sony has stamped their “PlayStation certified” on. It’s also one of the hybrid Android PSP phone in the market that no other phone has such a great gaming feature yet.

As the matter of performance, XPERIA Play is coming with 1GHz Qualcomm processor, Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB RAM, and a 4-inch multi-touch display that support up to 480 x 854 pixels resolution.

So, would you want to pre-order one if you have already got an Android Phone? I’m PSP fans, so I would!

LG Optimus 2X Android Smartphone is coming with 1GHz dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC Processor, has a large display like Sony Xperia X10 at 4-inch (WVGA display), built-in with 8GB storage (expandable to 32GB via microSD card) and it’s running with Android 2.2 FroYo OS.

Other features also include 8MP rear facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, DLNA certified, HDMI mirroring, Gyro sensor, accelerometer, Full HD 1080p support, 1500mAh battery, microUSB port as well as the ability to upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

Here is a nice (but not necessary!) try of test to grill the top three smartphones that run on different platform. In the show, the ‘crazy-rich’ griller has put iPhone 4, HTC Surround and G2 phones to a cheap $10 portal EZ griller to test their sustainability to heat.

The result? Microsoft’s phone survived the cruel test. However, this doesn’t show much idea and I believe no one would like to toast their smartphones in the griller or somewhere hot (except he is an adventurer that want to dip into the magma).

This Motorola Droid 2 R2-D2 featuring the unequal classic R2-D2 marking and design, however, there is nothing different with the Motorola Droid 2 itself. It features all the same specification that you can find on the regular version, so don’t expect it could move on it own like R2-D2.

However, it does come with an special R2-D2 notification sounds, ringtones wallpapers, clock widget as well as four live wallpapers that most fans would love to have it.

According to their theory, the Samsung Galaxy S could be overclocked to 1.6Ghz in the future. But for now, Android smartphones overclockers should not overclock more than 1.2Ghz if they don’t want to toast their Android phone.

It’s recommended not to overclock a cell phone processor speed, but if you think that you want to take this challenge (while holding the risk to break your Android Phone), head on over to XDA developers forum for the guide.

Though the full specs is not available yet, but I think it’s quite amazing as you can find everything stuffed in just 11.05mm of thin dimension. Oh, it also has a bluetooth connectivity, GPS should be available too, and it has a good compatibility with DivX movies.

LG Optimus Z Smartphone is going to hit the Korea via Korea’s SK Telecom and KT carrier. Expect to see the full specs soon so stay tuned if you are interested.

Talking about PSX emulator, iPhone 3GS has got one, and HTC HD2 has it too. So, now it’s the turn of Android Phones to get a working emulator to play your old golden memories PSX games.

In the show below, PSX4Droid is running on Samsung Galaxy S and Dell Streak. The Apps cost $5.99 on Android Market which you can download it now. Despite of few glitches, most PlayStation Games was emulated like charm. Some demo which you can see below is running Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer and Crash Bandicoot (on Nexus One Phone).

The PSX4Droid can also use Nintendo Wii motes as the external controller to play the game emulated on Dell Streak. Here is the proof:

Now all you have to do is to dump your legal BIOS and ROMs from your PlayStation and you are good to go!

There is nothing wrong with texting while walking. But In our region, there is a minor accidents happened on the road because people are texting and sending SMS while riding a motorbike. Yep, this is crazy but that’s the fact. However, if the user can buy an Android phone and install this “Road SMS” Apps, I guess no more accident would occur easily.

Road SMS Apps will let you text to your friend while providing a road view / frontal view so you can see the road clearly while typing on your message. Except you are facing way down to the earth, you can see what’s in front of you without look away from your Android phone.

Currently, Samsung Galaxy Si9000 has come pre-installed with this Road SMS Apps. but I’m sure it will become a handy standard for any cell phones supporting apps and with frontal camera to take a peek.

Best Buy announced it yesterday that they’ve already bring the Motorola DROID X right into their inventory and it’s now available for pre-order today. Motorola DROID X will ship out on July 15, however, we are not sure if their is an early bird deal or not.

Motorola DROID X is not running Froyo yet. Instead, it use Android 2.1 as the main OS. However, it might be coming with the Froyo or Android 2.2 in the upcoming months that touted to support Adobe Flash 10.1.

“With the buzz we’ve seen around the Android platform, Best Buy is confident that consumers will be thrilled about the Verizon DROID X by Motorola pre-sale,” said Scott Anderson, senior director of merchandising at Best Buy Mobile. “It has been a great summer for smartphones with the HTC EVO and iPhone 4 launches, and the addition of the DROID X adds another strong option for our customers to consider.”

Early in 2010 (Jan), we have got the leaked image of the upcoming Motorola Shadow. Today, we have found another leaked image of this unofficial Motorola Shadow Android phone thanks to BoyGeniusReport. According to them, the image is taken from a gym, but I have no idea who’s got this phone. Probably someone from Motorola who’d like the phone to be leaked intentionally…

The display is not 4.3-inch, but it’s 4.1-inch diagonal (WVGA mode), and it has 16GB memory (combination between internal 8GB and External 8GB), got one 8MP camera, and it’s powered by 720Mhz TI OMAP3630 processor. A HDMI and USB Port also available for direct connection to external device.

You can also see the “Verizon Wireless” logo clearly marked at the bottom side of the phone, this has proved that Motorola Shadow will brought out by Verizon Wireless instead of other carriers.

It’s staggering, the long rumored HTC DROID Incredible has been sold out within 2 hours of its official debut in Verizon Wireless online store. It’s been long booked by the fans of HTC phone and the DROID Incredible is sure one of the strongest phones of its class. According to the source, the HTC DROID Incredible is actually sold out before it hit the online store. So just about 2 hours, HTC DROID Incredible was out of stock. Although we don’t have the data on how much the inventory Verizon kept, but it’s still an amazing record. I’m sure HTC has done their pre-launching campaigns well before the phone to pop out in the market.

For those who late in ordering the HTC Droid Incredible, new online order will be shipped next month on May 4th.
