This wireless mouse is powered by two AAA batteries, has 5-buttons, works with 2.4GHz wireless technology using a mini dongle, has 1000/2000dpi resolutiion (switchable via button). What’s interesting is the feature to detect our hand and turn the mouse on/off accordingly.

For example, once the mouse body is touched, the system will turn it on. When we move our hand away, Buffalo BSMBWE07 wireless mouse will immediately switch itself off to conserve battery power.

This BSMBWE07 wireless mouse is stated to be on sale in the late November for 3,300 Yen (about $43) in Japan.

For the space and storage-junkie out there, Buffalo has announced that they are going to launch two new external HDDs that are going to use the USB 3.0 interface for better transfer speed. This two storage solutions are now known as the Buffalo MiniStation Extreme and DriveStation Axis Velocity with both models have been full protected with 256-bit AES hardware encryption technology for better security and data breach.

Buffalo MiniStation Extreme USB 3.0 (HD-PZU3) is the portable type of external hard drive. It’s still using the old design with durable protection to the hard drive and their unique wrap-around USB cable that is built into the case. The case it self is rugged enough to protect from certain level of fall from the desk on certain height.

This MiniStation Extreme USB 3.0 portable external hard drive is going to be available in three colors (black, gray and red) and two sizes of 500GB and 1TB for the MSRP of $94.99 and $129.99, respectively.

Meanwhile, the DriveStation Axis Velocity USB 3.0 (HD-LXU3) is a desktop style of external HDD. Inside the glossy black case, there is a 3.5-inch hard drive with 7200RPM rotary speed. No built-in USB cable like the MiniStation, but a USB 3.0 cable is supplied in the bundle. As for the size, Buffalo DriveStation Axis Velocity is going to be available in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB for the MSRP of $94.99, $134.99 and $179.99, respectively.

Both of them are set to release on October 2011 in the States with two-year limited warranty.

Buffalo Japan has announced new sereis of External HDD called LS-XL. This LS-XL series external HDD is actually a NAS (network attached storage) at the same time, where it has come with three connectivity that has included USB, Firewire and one Gigabit Ethernet port.

Anyway, I like the design of this LS-XL series LAN HDD. It has some type of mesh design with the logo, glossy sideways with piano black color treatment, and a shining blue LED color showing the HDD activity at the side.

However, it looks pretty “chubby” from the side. I doubt you can even bring it on your laptop bag because of the dimension. But it’s not something for carry around anyway. It will sit tight on your desk and you should buy this hard drive only if you are trying to get a simple NAS system.

The Buffalo LS-XL Series LAN external hard drive is going to be available in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB models. The cost of Buffalo LS-XL Series is going to be 17,000 Yen ($211), 22,000 Yen ($273), and 28,000 Yen ($348), respectively for each capacity. Expect to see this device to appear in the market in July 2011.

Blu-ray burner is no more a bulky drive that you only find it on Desktop Drive Bay. It’s been developed into a slim external writer like what we used to see on the portable DVD-burner. Buffalo has also introduced their own version of slim external Blu-ray Writer to the market. Not only that, Buffalo’s BRXL-PC6U2 is not just another blu-ray writer. It has come with a support with BDXL-Compatible media that support up to 128GB data in one disc!

Buffalo BRXL-PC6U2 is weighing in 349 grams only, and it has score a great writing speed on several different media:

6x for BD-R SL/DL (single-layer/dual-layer)

4x for BD-R 3-layer/4-layer

2x for BD-RE

8x for DVD-R/+R/+RW

6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW

5x for DVD-RAM

24x for CD-R

16x for CD-RW

Sadly, Buffalo BRXL-PC6U2 isn’t coming with USB 3.0 interface. Instead, it still uses USB 2.0 and there are two of them to ensure the drive has got enough power supplied when working. Quite inconvenient if you don’t have much ports available in your laptop.
This Buffalo BRXL-PC6U2 portable BDXL-compatible Blu-ray writer is going to be available later in this March for $275 per unit.

Well, personally, I’m not yet a fans of both USB 3.0 and blu-ray drive because of the price factor that is pretty ‘expensive’ for now.
The new standard of USB 3.0 has given the chance for Blu-ray writer to speed up their writing and reading speed. Buffalo has just introduced their new blu-ray writer that could write at the speed of 12x for BD-R Single Layer or Double Layer disc. It’s practically 4x faster than the common blu-ray burner.

There are two model revealed, BR3D-12FBS-BK and BR3D-12U3. The first model is still standing on the old standard of SATA interface, while the one that has got the 12x writing speed is the second model.

Buffalo BR3D-12U3 supports write speed up to 12x for BD-R SL/DL, 2x for BD-RE SL/DL, 16x for DVD-R/+R, 8x for DVD-R/+R DL & DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 40x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW.

For additional bonus, Buffalo Blu-ray writers has been bundled with CyberLink’s PowerDVD 9, PowerDirector 8 HE, PowerProducer 5, MediaShow 5, Power2Go 6, InstantBurn 5 and PowerBackup 2.

Those two will be released in mid-June, and it will cost $216 and $433 for Buffalo BR3D-12FBS-BK and Buffalo BR3D-12U3, respectively. It’s certainly expensive, if you are just want to watch blu-ray movies with the burner, I’ll suggest to go for PS3 instead.

Buffalo is pretty dare to claimed their new DVSM-PSS58U2-BK DVD burner as the world’s slimmest dvd burner. But that’s true after all. We haven’t seen any external DVD burner that could go as thin as 14.5mm yet while it still capable of providing the maximum writing speeds of a common external DVD writer.

Buffalo DVSM-PSS58U2-BK USB 2.0 DVD burner can write at 8x speed for DVD-R/+R/+RW, at 6x for DVD-R DL/DVD+R DL/DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R/CD-RW. You will also get a bundle software inside the box, which includes: CyberLink PowerDVD 9, MediaShow 5, Power2Go 6, InstantBurn 5 and PowerBackup 2

Expected to ship in Japan in mid-June 2010, Buffalo DVSM-PSS58U2-BK USB 2.0 DVD burner will cost you $116 USD per unit.

Buffalo has married the two technologies of USB and SSD into one, and gave birth to the new remix called USB SSD Drive. This is really the new tech Jargon, Buffalo introduces their USB SSD Drive as the SHD-LVS-BK, certainly one name that is quite hard to read.

This Buffalo SHD-LVS-BK USB SSD will be connected via USB 2.0 (although we hope to see some USB 3.0 now!), and it can hold up to 64GB of data inside this small flash drive like 23mm x 10mm x 98mm USB SSD Drive.

You will also find two special functions, which is the TurboPC and TurboCopy that promise to boost the transfer rates limit to the whole new level, but no details yet on how the software will affect SHD-LVS-BK USB SSD Drive’s performance. Depending on how many digits you have in your bank statement, you can get Buffalo from starting price of $28 (where you will get 3GB) to $260 (64GB).
