Despite of its small size, this smallest video camera has a resolution of 62,500 pixel, and capable of delivering high resolution video of any recording. What’s the best is that this smallest video camera won’t be an expensive camera to produce. According to the developers, this camera could be a perfect fit for medical. One-use disposal is made possible similar like syringe needle. Also, it could be a very potential spy cam for spying people without any obvious attention from the target.

Frauhofer Institute has planned to roll out this smallest video camera into the market next year 2012.

With this 1 pixel sensor camera, the GROC team has successfully snaps 2D pictures in quality. The proof is the above image. They’ve capture their UJI logo and the result is pretty good. Later in the development, this 1 pixel sensor camera will be used in health sector, such as to investigate and capture internal biological tissues.

We have seen some of the concept (made into a video) of iPhone 4G, and it seems the front-facing camera is getting a spotlight and everybody who use iPhone would love to get this update on the next generation of release.

This is still a rumor, however, there is a strong fact supporting this matter. According to Apple Insider, the rumor appeared because of Apple newly revealed patent application which has been entitled as “Apparatus of Method for Compensating for Variations in Digital Cameras’.

This Patent application talk about how to improve the camera modules invested in the current iPhone and iPod models, which probably will lead to a better solution for users and getting a front-facing camera here is highly possible. But rumor remains a rumor. No certainty yet on this matter so you shouldn’t hope so much on it.

Samsung has the most brilliant camera design for the era! They’ve included a front LCD display so you have a better self-portrait posture and not guessing blindly how’s your face before snapping it into the camera. This is the latest digital camera coded as ST225 and ST220, the two model that get the front-LCD treatment.

The front facing LCD display measure in 1.5-inch only, but it’s enough to let you see what’s the lens focus on.
To activate the display, you only need to gently tapping and it will turn into the self-portrait mode to snap your smiling face (yep, it has a smile detector, too).

At the rear side, you will find a wide 3.5-inch touchscreen display with haptic effect. The screen size is limited to ST225 model only. The Samsung ST220 have slightly smaller screen of 3-inch, but it has a thinner dimension.

The best feature of this camera is the thoughtful application of ST225 front LCD. It can play a cute and short clips of cartoon animation to suck children attentions. Most of children usually has less attention to the camera, so with this kind of feature hopefully we can get a better snaps of them with less efforts.

If you remember, this VholdR ContourHD wearable recorder was first mentioned on the last April 2009. Amazon has it, but it’s still in pre-order state. But now, amazon has opened a price, and it’s only $299 a pop. However, thanks to Engadget folks, they have spotted a discount of 7% or as much as $20 for every purchase and throwing in a $50 gift card to boost the sales. Pretty good, and this VholdR contourHD recorder is only 2 left. But Amazon will restock them on this 23th.

No doubt, camera has been enhanced and turns this Xcaster 5000 into an extraordinary camera. The common digital camera that we have known until today only capable of doing things offline, and through the help of a MC/memory card and computer, we can submit our videos or photos to online profiles, sharing networks or so on.

But now with Xcaster 5000 camra with built-in 802.11n connectivity, you can even use you the camera to do a live show by streaming the video directly to the available hotspot/wireless broadband network.

Xcaster 5000 camera is mind blowing, especially the touch screen on the rear side that operated with an Open Source OS – Linux! Now that’s what I call clever technology. But the main problem is the pricing. You will need to pay as much as $8,000 to get Xcaster 5000 on this May 2009. No “ordinary” person could simply afford that price.

Digital Camera with Built-in ZINK technology Printer

What most interesting is the size and the printer functionality. It totally beat our old polaroid camera in size, but of course the image produced by the internal printer of this Tomy Xiao TIP-521 is not as large as polaroid camera do.

So, do you have to refill any ink in case the ink run out? Nope, you’ll safe from that hassles because there is nothing inside the built-in printer except the “heat machine”. Tomy Xiao TIP-521 using a special made paper called ZINK paper, which already have a color dye crystals embedded inside.

So, the Digital camera printer is only act as the heater to draw the image by heating the paper in a very complex way.
