Crucial has crafted yet another magnificent SSD media storage that is not only offering fast performance, but it also very thin at 7mm only. They call it “M4″ SSD, which I guess they can barely find their competitors to have an SSD with such thickness. According to the source, Crucial M4 is aiming to support the latest super ultra thin laptop design such as Lenovo ThinkPad 420G, or newest Intel Ultrabook devices where the older thick SSD won’t be able to stuff in.

Crucial ultra slim M4 SSD is going to be available in four capacities, starting at the smallest 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and the largest 512GB. There is no report on the speed and overall top performance yet, but I’m sure it would hover above the average.

“The demand for thinner, lighter, and lower-cost laptops continues to grow, and many users are demanding reliable storage solutions that offer high performance in these increasingly smaller form factors,” said Robert Wheadon, worldwide senior product manager, Crucial. “The 7 mm Crucial m4 SSD provides exceptional performance in a super-thin form factor, is extensively tested in-house, and is the newest offering in our award-winning SSD portfolio.”

These Crucial ultra slim M4 SSDs are going to hit the store with starting price of $118.99 up to $7894.99. SSD’s price hasn’t change much anyway. We should have to wait quite a long time before it could be dropped dirt cheap like the current HDD price mark…
