To quote Walt Mayo, vice president Dell Consumer Asia: “This is a laptop that moms will love and youths will desire.” We can’t say we fit that demographic in any way, shape, or form, but we can appreciate the “smudge-resistant palm rests, full-size, ergonomically-designed keyboard and stiffer frame” when compared to the other Inspirons. These seem to be available now over in Australia and New Zealand, which means that order pages could go live at any moment for the rest of planet Earth.

Dell gave Engadget the shots of their new Precision M4500 performance laptop. Precision M4500 backed by 15.6-inch HD display supporting 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, Core i5 or i7 CPU and high end NVIDIA QUadro FX 1800M or 880M GPU. Compared with Dell M6500 super high-end 17-inch laptop, this Dell Precision M4500 can be categorize as a regular version because it has a lower specs.

Although it’s not been called as a high-end laptop, Dell Precision M4500 has included a range of tasty features such as 12 cell battery slice option, 3-MP web camera, backlit keyboard, multitouch trackpad, Dell’s Precision ON feature, 64GB SSD mini card, and multi-carrier Gobi 2.0 wireless chip. I also believe playing games with this baby is fun and lag-less (except Crysis 2 or other super hardcore 3D games).

Dell Precision M4500 is going to ship soon with the price tag starting at $1,700. This is not a cheap laptop, but looking at the specs it has made us mouth watering.

The latest release of Dell Latitude 13 has been introduced as the sexy Business laptop offering a chic design and tasty specification. The Dell Latitude 13 laptop has also been claimed as the ‘World’s Thinnest 13-inch Commercial Client Laptop’ at the thickness of 0.65-inch only. Dell just keeps shaving their laptop thickness after the launching of Dell Adamo. Perhaps soon we will be computing on a piece of e-paper with the technology similar to ExoPC.

Even Dell has revealed their thickness, they are still hiding the real specification in their sleeve and planned to reveal entirely in the next few weeks. However, folks at Tom’s hardware predicted the specs to be similar with the Vostro 13, having Intel CPU as the power horse (either Celeron, Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Solo), built-in with Intel X4500MHD graphic chipset, and expect eSATA, USB and USB 3.0 to be around.

Dell Latitude 13 business laptop has the MSRP of $500. No idea if the price will fluctuate when on the actual launch.

Dell has updated their Vostro product line with the new Dell Vostro V13, which has a similar skin or case as Dell Adamo. I guess Dell feel that their Adamo case is excellent for both of their branding and uniqueness, Dell V13 takes a few of the design elements from Dell Adamo, especially in the thickness and slim-profile keyboard.

Dell Vostro V13, even has a slim design, it has been stuffed with almost all of the modern features such as high-speed USB ports, eSATA, WiFi 802.11g and draft-N, 13.3-inch 720p WLED display, 250GB HDD , Ethernet as well as a card reader, VGA port and 6-cell battery.

Dell Vostro V13 laptop is powered by Intel’s energy saving processor, which known as the CULV type of Celeron processor or you can opt for the Core 2 Solo or Core 2 Duo model with decreasing in battery lifespan (also it’s more expensive if you opt for the C2D version). The starting price for this Windows 7 running laptop is $450. You can find the detail at Dell.

It was the second PR after 09/09/09 events but it seems this Press Release is just another Vague information. Dell is pretty cheapskate to reveal only the side view of the upcoming Dell Adamo XPS laptop, but now I can (somehow) see how the screen and keyboard collapse each other (which I don’t have a clue in their first PR).

According to Forbes Magazine, Dell will put this Wireless Charging Technology into their Latitude Z premium notebook, which boost the 16-inch display, and the notebook will focus on high-end corporate market only. Perhaps this wireless charging technology is unaffordable for consumer level, so Dell say No-no to this market for now. Of course, Dell knows that the sales won’t be as high as their other Latitude series, but it seems Dell want to test the water before getting on the serious pace to develop this new charging technology.

In the CES 2009 exhibition, Dell has revealed Dell Adamo netbook with 13.4-inch screen size. However, the detail specification was not listed at that moment.

But now, Dell has officially announced their Dell Adamo and the following is the specs of Dell Adamo netbook:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 1.2Ghz

Memory: 2GB RAM

VGA: Integrated Intel X4500 graphic adapter

Storage: 128GB Solid State Drive

Weight: 4Lbs

3 USB Ports, 1 eSATA expansion port

Magnetic cover

The specification looks great for a small laptop, but it’s still far away from Apple Macbook Air. Another thing that will hold you back is the value of Dell Adamo. It will cost you around $1,999.99 to get one, which I considered expensive.
