Even the trend of USB 2.0 is slowly phasing down, manufacturer Elecom from Japanese is still releasing new twist of USB 2.0 hub for the market. The codenamed their latest 4-port USB 2.0 hub as U2H-YS4B. Unlike ordinary USB hub, this Elecom version is pretty unique as it’s come with a dedicated switch on each port. The switch will help you turn off the USB device without unplug. Just a simple tab on the switch will disable/disconnect the USB device.

Also, Elecom U2H-YS4B USB hub has come with a built-in LED light and nameplates. The LED light will tell you which device is active while the nameplates will let you easily organize your USB devices.

The old-fashioned faucet with water streaming down to a small puddle has set some great impact on the design world as it’s very creative and nice looking (kind of like an optical illusion). Today, the design is not just another decoration anymore as the designer from Japanese studio nendo has turn this old-fashioned design into a stand for either smartphones or tablet PCs!

Nendo designed this faucet stand for Elecom, which we have known their cooperation for long. They’ve designed a lot of gadgets for elecom, including things like flash drive, wireless mouse, cute tailed mouse and many more.

Honestly, I’m kind of amazed by this design too! Even they are just plastic, there is a great art poured in this Faucet stand. The stand is made of polycarbonate plastic with ABS faucet parts. The faucet is available in various kind of color treatment, starting from the clear, blue, black and white.

Obviously, the blue color is the most beautiful color as it clearly express out the beauty of water, while both clear and white color is kind of common. However, the black model is also excellent as it’s very suitable on any smartphone or tablet with black rear plate.

Elecom together with Oki Sata have released the x nendo Kasane series of wireless mouse. This series is quite intriguing as it has an unique design, where it’s ‘as if’ a mess of papers on the desk.

This x nendo Kasane wireless mouse have 5 buttons, three at the front and two at the side where your thumb can easily reach it. Obviously, this Elecom x nendo Kasane Wireless mouse is designed for the righty. Lefty users should look somewhere else.

This wireless mouse is indeed unique. Love the way the designer place the palm rest. However, it might invite to keep a lot of dust and dirt. As for the compatibility, Elecom x nendo KASANE is compatible with Microsoft 7, Vista, and XP, as well as Mac OS from 10.5 to 10.6.7.

Specification wise, Elecom X nendo KASANE wireless mouse is coming with 1600 dpi resolution, using wireless 2.4GHz technology (with distance about 10 meters), powered by a set of AAA batteries that should last about 128 hours continuous operation or about 125 days of standby time.

New computer mouse (mice) has been rolled out by Elecom and they are known as the OBSIDIAN and RECT. Each model has a handful of color choices (six of them) and both model are separated by their functionality. Start with the RECT, this mouse is a common wired optical mouse with cool design and will function as a normal mouse without any extraordinary feature. Meanwhile, the Elecom OBSIDIAN is obviously better because it’s a wireless mouse with 5-customizable buttons.

The customizable buttons will be controlled via a software that come along the package. The Elecom OBSIDIAN wireless Mouse is working on 2.4GHz frequency with range up to 10 meters (depend on the mouse pad) and you are required to hook up a tiny USB receiver to your PC/laptop before it can work properly. Elecom OBSIDIAN is also having a better sensitivity at 1200dpi (compared to 1000dpi on RECT) and the mouse is compatible on both PC and Mac.

It’s always an annoy thing to found that the Hotel that we are staying is only have one or two power outlet available for us to recharge our gadgets. Especially irritating if we have a lot of gadgets that need to be re-juiced. We have to bring our own power strips in the bag and that’s hell one inconvenient accessory to bring around.

Elecom spotted this problem, so they’ve crafted a solution where we can easily get an additional power outlet using their newest adapter that will make a good use of your existing Laptop PSU! Look at the picture and you shall figure out what it is!

You will get two more additional power outlets where you can charge your iPhone or other mobile gadgets. Simple yet creative. I would try to add another piece of this Elecom Adapter to the chain to see if I can get 4 working power outlet or not!

This time, it’s an accessories for your PC or laptop – an uncommon 10-port USB hub that look similar to a power outlet strip.

If you are into a cute type USB hub, this Elecom 10-port USB hub (U2H-Z10S) is probably not for you. It has a plain design, a simple block with the USB ports lining up like soldiers making line. But if you are pretty a port-junkie, this 10-port USB hub should be sufficient for most of your USB gadgets.

However, this stuff is not cheap if you want to ask the price. It’s 9,500 Yen or equal to $101 in US of A. If you want some, you can contact GeekStuff4U.
