Bloggers, web designer, freelance online author, or any job else that put themselves in front of the PC all day long is prone to suffer serious eye-strains. The most problem occur because user doesn’t blink their eyes much when working, tensing upon their jobs and projects for a long hours. This, of course, will cause the eye to strain, and losing the moisture on the surface of the eyes.

Up to date, there is no solution for this problem yet. People are recommended to take rest every 30 minutes to relax their eyes a bit, but I know only 1 out of 10 would take rest properly. To solve this matter, glasses maker J!ns has unveiled a new glasses called J!ns moisture that has a clever contraption embedded pair that helps moisten our eyes.

The glasses will keep the moisture in your eyes and you can free yourself from eye drops. J!ns also introduce a variant called J!ns PC, which is a special glasses that would reduces the numbing glare on a high contrast screen. This useful glasses are, sadly going to be available under a high price at the end of October 2011. We are not sure what the exact pricing is, but you can expect to pay hundreds of dollars for them.

Of course, to take care of your eyes require more than just a glasses. It’s still gonna be “you” that should aware of the situation and condition. Take rest properly, avoid watching 3D movies/playing 3D games in a long session because they are the best entertainment to make you blind. They don’t really pop out, aren’t they?

For a second, you might thought above image is rendered, a.k.a. concept design that is not real. However, I have to turn you down because this EyeCard is really and currently sold at Proidee for GBP16.50.

EyeCard is pretty cool since it is a kind of eyewear that come complete with a nose clamp where you can let this Eye Card rest firmly on your nose while you eyes are observing something small. What’s best is that you can slip it into your wallet or pocket like a credit card because it’s so thin.

You can get one of this at Proidee if you are interested. It’s a nice way to impress kids

Novero will be showing off their Madison Video Eyewear on this year Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 next month as one of the cool looking portable video eyewear.

Novero Madion Video Eyewear is compatible for both Mac and PC and the wearer will be served with 30-inch display in front of their eyes using its two OLED display.

Madison comes with its own handheld media player, yet easily connects to other portable video players, such as mobile phones and iPods, to let you enjoy the video of your choice in any environment. Equipped with two OLED displays, Madison provides a viewing experience equal to watching a 30” display 6 feet in front of you. The intuitive menu is controlled with buttons on the media player and visual feedback is shown on an on-screen display. Madison comes with software for both Windows and MAC computers that provides a simple drag-and-drop interface to easily import video files and organize your favorite TV show episodes, movies and video clips. All videos are automatically converted to a format that is optimized for Madison’s screen size and resolution. With Madison, enjoying video on-the-go no longer means having to squint at a small screen, carry extra devices or deal with managing media formats.

Though we have seen a better video eyewear like iTVGoggles and i-3D Video Goggles with larger display, this Novero Madison still do its job for on-the-go entertainment system.

Expect to pay $343 USD equivalent price for this device when it has launched in the second quarter of 2011.

emPower electronic focusing eyeglasses has a special LCD-like layer with the function to aid short distance focusing. Once the power is on, the LCD layer will change its molecular stricter to change the focus.

It looks great, but the downside is that you’ll have to charge this glasses every 2 or 3 days once, which might become another problematic gadget that you would not want to bring around when hiking in the mountain.

There is no pricing yet for this emPower! electronic focusing eyeglasses. Vision Concepts has just rolled out their very own gaming yellow lens glasses with affordable pricing.

The reason for the yellow lens is similar to Gunnar Optics, the lens will block/reducing glare while providing a much better and contrast vision to your eyes, and at the same time it will reduce the fatigue of long haul gaming sessions.

What’s great of this Vision Concept’s gaming glasses is the cool looking camo-style glasses frame. Another great thing is that this version of gaming glasses is only costing you $39.99 a pair at most. Beautiful, but I believe you’ll dislike how your vision turns all urine-yellow once ‘installed’ into your mecha vision.

It seems if you are LG’s 3D HDTV fans, in the future release of their 3D TV should still require user to wear 3D glasses for viewing the effects. However, the benefits of next gen’s LG 3D Glasses is you won’t look like a dork anymore when wearing one. The upcoming LG 3D glasses will be the masterpiece of Alain Milkli, a French designer that has hist own glasses stores in New York, Paris, Milan, etc. The design should be enough to ‘bribe’ or motivate you to keep wearing the 3D glasses even it’s not watching any 3D movies on your HDTV (for styling purpose).

This Next gen LG 3D Glasses should be showcased in next year’s CES 2011 Expo. It looks like next year’s CES is not everything about 3D HDTV/display technology anymore.

Designer Frida Giannini has brought us to the new Gucci Eyewear called Gucci Eyeweb Collection 3D Glasses, a 3D glasses that made viewer to see themselves in three via the mirror without distortion. Hold on, this 3D glasses is not mean to view any 3D LED TV content such as the Monsters vs Aliens movie. It’s a real 3D Glasses that has been designed with optically correct 6-base curved lenses with circular polarized technology instead of just another 3D shuttle glasses for your home entertainment.

Though I’m not sure how is the look of the 3D effect when wearing this 3D glasses. But we should be able to expect something good made for the super popular brand name Gucci. The 3D glasses will begin shipping sometime in this Christmas holiday season.

This Anti-bullet sunglasses can hold up to 500g piece of iron dropped on it without hurting the glass, and the best of all, the glass won’t crack up / fracture even it’s hit by 0.3-inch object that flying as fast as 106mph. However, the sunglasses will protect your eyes only. If the ‘killer’ is professional enough, he/she will aim for an head shot instead of shooting your eyes.

Well, if you are willing to fork out $317 to own this unbreakable eyewear, then why not? It will let you looks cool, while at the same time protect your eyes from the invasion of super fast creatures that moves on the speed of 106mph that aim for your eyes.

Today we are going to review an eyewear – the GUNNAR Optiks Performance Eyewear that could help the wearer (in this case, you) to combat the Digital Eye Fatigue or DEF and Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). The eyewear, especially the lens did come with arrays of cool feature such as:

diAMIX lens Material

i-FI Lens coatings

fRACTYL lens geometry

iONik lens tints

and so on

But do they really works? I spend countless hours each day staying in front of my laptop watching the cool gadgets rolls in. I’m sure I’m one of the guy who must join the force to combat the DEF and CVS to protect my eyes. So, after introduced by Jennifer Michelsen, the Co-founder of GUNNAR Optiks, I test it by wearing it about several hours since my the package arrived at my desk. Below is all about my experience written in a simple language, I hope it will be useful for you.

GUNNAR optiks comes with a very sturdy black case to protect the glasses. As you’ve seen in the picture, GUNNAR optiks also comes with a carrying pouch that could act as the glasses cleaner. It did surprised me that the sturdy case looks more expensive than the eyewear! Well, probably not. But the package looks professional.

I have to be honest, The GUNNAR Optiks is good. But with certain value to be accepted before you can rate it good for your eyes. Personally, GUNNAR Optiks is not suitable for my eyes. The first day the eyewear arrived at my desk, I wear it and I ‘nay’ on it.

The reason, perhaps it’s not the fault of GUNNAR Optiks. I suffer from a critical “Eye Floater” disease, so whenever I see ‘Contrast’ light, I can see a bunch of wire-like creatures dancing in my eyes.

Perhaps that is the sole reason for me to decline this eyewear. GUNNAR Optiks has a yellow tint lens color which turn all your vision into a urine-like scenery. GUNNAR Optiks claimed that the lens could immediately increase the contrast and clarity of our vision. I have to admit that. It did makes things easier to read, our eyes feel ease and less tension on the nerves.

But thanks to my illness, I can’t enjoy the yellow scenery any longer because the contrast color immediately make my “little creatures” in my vision become even clearer. So I’m not recommended this eyewear for you who share the same ‘pain’ with me!

Well, Perhaps this is only me. I gave it to my brother and he said he had a better vision when reading a bunch of text via his LCD Monitor. I’ve also found lots of positive reviews over at Amazon and from some of my friends blog. They said it’s not suitable for far-viewing but have a super vivid vision when working in front of a monitor, Improved vision, decreased eye strain, or about the good design of the GUNNAR optiks.

I have to agree that the GUNNAR Optiks eyewear frame design that come to our desk is excellently built. Very light-weight, when you wearing it as if not wearing anything, the nose pieces also adjustable to fit your face, and GUNNAR optiks also accepting prescriptions program through VSP approved doctors to make a fit lens to suit your eyes.

The Sheadog series that we have here cost $119 a pop. And there are other version available with price starting from $90 to $140.

This conceptual design of eyewear by WJ Kim is practically pressure-free for your nose.

It’s an unique concept of eyewear since nowsdays design is just so repetitive with the foldable frame. WJ Kim turn this around by designing a whole round of frame and I believe the frame is a flexible hard rubber material.

Come complete with the frames for your ears so it will stay firm at the right position for the lens to protect your precious eyes. Though I don’t have further information about what is the material of the lens, but I hope WJ Kim would consider to use the same material as Numa Tactical eyewear, which is an unbreakable material for eyeswear.
