I have seen lots of custom modification to turn a retro SNES console into a portable version, but haven’t really found one that is actually a real made-from-factory portable SNES game console yet. Luckily, if you are a SNES super fans, soon you will be able to get this SupaBoy from Hyperkin because they’ll launch first non-modded (by users) portable SNES console in this Summer.

The shape of SupaBoy is actually using the retro Super Nintendo Controller design. At the back side, you can slide in a Super Famicom cartrdige and the fun begin after you’ve hit the ON button. There is a 3.5-inch screen, two-axis directional pad, Y/X/A/B buttons, LR button, as well as two port for connecting external controller.

SupaBoy has built-in battery that you can use it for about 5 hours of gaming, and if you are looking to play your game on a larger display, there is an AV connection at the rear side that you can plug it into your TV.

SupaBoy portable pocket SNES console is going to cost $79.99 when it has been available.

After their announcement of NGP the nexgen portable console, Sony has dropped the price of PSPgo from $199.99 to $129.99. That was a great news for gamers who haven’t upgrade themselves with PSPgo. Even the bundled pack with games are only price at $159.99.

However, if you’ve late to notice this deal, you can’t get it anymore with the lower pricing. As of today, Sony has lifted the PSPGo price back to $199.99 again. Even the bargain master Amazon has them for $224.99 (black version) and $181.80 for the white version. Going to GameStop won’t help much either.

It seems Sony is teasing the market and there is a possibility that after NGP officially launched, PSP Go pricing will be lowered down back to $129.99.

However, folks at Wired has obtained a little bit more details for this new gaming device that will launch on March 27th, 2011.

During the interview with Nintendo, Wired guys has dug three important information for us:

The 3DS has been confirmed to be region locked, with no way of unlocking it (bar illegally hacking the device)

Games that have been downloaded can be transferred to other 3DS devices – but only for a limited number of times (if at all)

3D movies will be coming to the device (but more details will be announced closer to the launch)

It seems the rumor about the stronger anti-piracy protection turned out to be true. However, I believe nothing would stop hackers from exploiting new gadgets, even the strongest anti-hacker Sony Playstation 3 has been hacked and exploited like mad now.

But the important point is about the 3D movies. Nintendo 3DS might become the future most interesting portable 3D movie player.

Nintendo 3DS is the next gen handheld gaming console that pioneering naked-eye viewable 3D display. The specification is also stronger than its previous generation, where it’s powered by 266MHz ARM11 processors, PICA200 133MHz GPU by DMP, has 64MB RAM, and 4MB of video RAM.

Although it looks pretty good for a next-gen portable console, The price £299.99 is quite expensive for the market. But Nintendo has the strong reason to price their new console higher than anyone else. Especially when 3D is the hot trend at the moment.

Luckily, Nintendo recently has just released a chart that highlighted the core specification of Nintendo 3DS’ hardware, and it expert has generated some predictions that Nintendo 3DS will have battery life anywhere from 3 to 8 hours play time.

However, there is no detail that the predictions are made for the Nintendo 3DS machine running 3DS games (with full-blown 3D feature turn on) or running the old DS games. Of course, running both versions of games will have different result as 3DS games require a bit more power. It’s interesting to see how long it could be used to play games per charge.

If you are looking at what’s hottest in this year’s CES 2011, I guess I’ll direct you to this Sifteo Game Cubes that were sold out directly in the CES 2011 event last week!

What’s make it selling like a hot cakes, even it’s not really officially released yet? Well, I can understand to urge to buy one of this game gadget because Sifteo Game Cubes are just like a little magic cube that could let your kids (even adult!) have their good moments.

Sifteo Game Cubes are consist of 6 portable game cubes that looks a bit like an iPod Nano 6G, but these little guys are connected via a wireless USB transmitter to a PC in order for it to work properly. And what’s cool is the 6 game cubes can be used for interaction of a particular game, and each cube ‘knows’ how they are being held and moved thanks to motion sensors.

The display itself is rather small, at 128 x 128px, all you can get is a low-definition homebrew-like games to be displayed. But don’t underestimate it as the games are completely fun with the combination of the 6 game cubes.

Sifteo Game Cubes are available in a pack of three game cubes for $149. You will also get a charger station and transmitter in the box. Guess what, there is a chance that this Sifteo Game Cubes will nominated this year’s best Christmas gifts for kids!

If you believe in technology news leak information, here is a leaked Nintendo 3DS pictures and Video by a factory worker in China. The picture is showing the new Nintendo 3DS that will make its appearance later in this year in OFF condition, and another one of the picture is showing the SDK version.

We are not sure if the picture is just a dummy or the real Nintendo 3DS console. But it appears the leak is intended to make buzzes in the Internet before the actual device appears. Take a look at the following video for the leakage details:

UPDATE: Ops, the video have been removed.

Let’s hope it a real stuff and not a counterfeit product since we can see the SDK version of the device. Though it’s been revealed several times since last year’s CES 2010, there is no obvious change in the design (Nintendo said it ‘should’ have some change with the one demoed last year with the final retail version).

Ops, it seems the last speculation about Nintendo 3DS release date is a little bit mis-schedules. The gaming handheld is going to appear in this February 16th 2011 in Japan, not this on November 2010.

Nintendo officially announced this news, and it’s set to release for 25,000 Yen or about $298 USD. So when US and Europe market to get this new Nintendo 3DS? It’s on the early March 2010.

The official announcement also revealed some of the Nintendo 3DS highlighted features and capabilities. Two of the most interesting features that will be enjoyed by gamers in this Spring is the ability to take face photo with its front-facing dual-lens camera and convert it into the Mii version. The Mii data then could be edited via Mii Studio in the Nintendo 3DS.

Other features that come to my interest is the ability to scan for an augmented logo and translate it into a moving and popping 3D virtual animations.

Here is the official demo of Nintendo 3DS:

This is faster than what I’ve expected. It’s first announced that Nintendo 3DS gaming handheld will ship its first unit on March 2011 next year, but this news update is to tell you that you will be able to see it before Christmas holidays on October – this year!

If this news turn out to be true, gamers will be suffered from the multiple choices of new game accessories and console because Project Natal and PlayStation Move will also coming along around Fall 2010. The news was reported by ComputerandVideoGames.com, telling us that October will be the pre-launch date, a month that will give Nintendo the chance to have a fair head-to-head competition with Microsoft and Sony in the gaming market on this Christmas holidays.

To refresh you up, Nintendo 3DS is rumored to be the whole new series of Nintendo handheld console. It will be able to give you the 3D special effect on the screen (probably with Parallax Barrier Technology) without wearing any 3D glasses at all. And the best of all, the Nintendo 3DS will be fully backward compatible with old game titles from DS and DSi.

Olivier Demangel, who has a decent skill as a 3D artist has created a nice concept that blend both Sony PSP and Nintendo DSi XL into a brand new conceptual Nintendo 3DS. This is not the actual product image for the real Nintendo 3DS, so you don’t have to be over-excited on the following images because it is purely a concept design made by Olivier.

Well, although it’s not the real Nintendo 3DS, at least Olivier Demangel think so. The Next generation of Nintendo handheld console should be powerful enough to handle most stuffs and it must include all of the feature that its predecessor has lacked of.

According to the designer, Nintendo 3DS will get a Huge screen with Non-glasses 3D display, it could be tilt like a netbook, has a range of exposed buttons such as the D-pad, analog stick and few buttons arrange neatly at the lower right corner for start, or level select. The power buttons of this Nintendo 3DS concept is located at the lower end of analog stick, a position where you can easy shut off the game when you’ve tired of playing. Amazing.

Check out more pictures below.
