Mio, a company who focus on creating GPS unit is introducing a new series of Mio Moov V780 GPS device in the CeBIT 2010. This Mio Moov V780 has the advantage of 7-inch display that could double as a media tablet and MID. The display can hold 800 x480 pixel resolution, and it has a built-in flash-enabled web browser allowing the possibility of viewing online videos via 802.11g, 3G or WiMax connectivity.

Mio Moov V780 is even more thoughtful on this section because they have also included a dedicated Youtube client in the device, together with some other application for email (Microsoft Exchange) and touch enabled music and picture browsers. As for the decoding capability, Mio Moov V780 can decode 720p video with native resolution through a HDMI connection. It also has a digital TV Tuner supporting 1Seg in Japan, T-DMB in Korea and DVB-T om the Europe.

Mio Moov V780 comes with 4GB of built-in memory, but it’s upgradable via microSDHC memory card. Up to date, the availability and price list remains undisclosed.

TI WiLink 7.0 Chipset is practically 50% smaller than the current chipsets (from other brand) that offers similar functionality. Beside it is smaller, it also use 30% less power. This could be resulting in a longer battery life for the mobile phone, and it should have a better wireless connection option for the upcoming cell phone with TI WiLink 7.0 chipset implemented.

The robot meant to be placed on your car dashboard (so I assume the size is pretty small), showing you a friendly and smiley faces while guiding you through the shortest path to your destination.

Even better, AIDA will also track your driving habit, remember where you have been, your usual destination, and it can even detect your gas level and where is the best place to get refill.

AIDA is still under development by three research groups (MIT SENSElab, MIT’s Media Lab’s Personal Robots Group and Volkswagen Group of America’s Electronics Research Lab) now, so the picture above is one of their prototype for AIDA.

If you want to watch on your children without really need you at their side, you can use this insignia little buddy child tracker, which is a little GPS device that could inform you in a real-time condition about your children location and whether if they have cross the line they shouldn’t have.

Unlike the concept of Link Child Locator, Insignia Little Buddy Child Tracker can be connected to your PC/laptop, or even to your smartphone for mobile ‘watch tower’.

You can customize the Insignia Little Buddy Child Tracker to a certain/specific location and time range, so you can control your child to stay on your radar. If they cross the line, the Insignia GPS tracker will alert you with a text message directly to your PC or smartphone. The size is also pretty small, practical and looks pretty dull so your child won’t make it as their toy. This little Children GPS locator will cost you $99.99 to own one. Available in Blue and Green.

After releasing the Nokia 5800 phone for music purposes (Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Edition), Nokia has added another version – the Navigation Edition on the 5800 series. Instead of for hearing music (well, you still can do so actually), the cell phone is more about being your guidance to get to your destination with graphical notices or voice-based guides, just like a GPS device would do.

Unlike other Navigation device, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is ready out of the box, no more software installation, just turn on and you shall be able to use it directly. You will also found one in-car recharging kit for Nokia 5800 Navigation edition. As the extra treatment, the the cell phone also comes with built-in local traffic jams report to help you avoiding crowded area and safely arrive at your destination.

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition will hit the shelf of Europe later in this year with price tag or €285 or about $408.

Finding lost car doesn’t mean on the stolen car. It’s more about to find your parked car and you’ve totally forgot where the place is. This scenario seems like to be a common issue for us who park our car in a multi-level parking lot. If we don’t be careful and forgot the numbering on the wall, finding back our car would take ages.

But this kind of scenario won’t happen if you have got yourself an Ecco GPS Keychain! So what is it? Well, take a close too to the device before further explanation:

Yep, that the Ecco GPS Keychain. This little GPS gadget would help you mark your car’s position and program it into the device. So when you want to find your car, just a push of button you will get a pointer to let you know where your car is. But this won’t work properly if you are parking in a multi-level parking space.

However, It could help you shortening your searching time (since it can tell you how far you are from the destination) rather than wandering at the parking lot like a crazy man searching for his lost car.

Ecco GPS Keychain is not only functional as your car searching gadget, you can actually use it to mark land point where you could get back later. Pretty useful if you are visiting a new city and you don’t have the map for it. Just mark your hotel and you never worry about lost in the city when you are exploring it.

Just one warning though, never lost this Ecco GPS Keychain or you will be sorry for what you’ve done.

You can get this Ecco GPS Keychain for £69.95 or about $113 from Firebox. Oh, did I mention it’s rechargeable via USB Port?

Bushnell BackTrack GPS Tracker

As you can see, the design is far more simple than all of the GPS that available at the market. The display is only displaying the position pointer and the distance to reach your marked position. If you remember, it’s similar to the link child locator, but the child locator is more about a moving object rather than a fixed position.

But it’s not bad since the screen is simple to use for almost all age. Only with one button press to mark a spot and following the display pointer to get back to your marked position. You may find out this handy GPS locator for $59.99 only at Amazon.com.
