Altec Lansing, which we will hear their name loudly pronounced in the speaker market is not leaping their feet into the docking station business. Recently they’ve just added a new speaker dock station for both iPhone and iPod and they can be docked together without crashing each other. Well, Altec Lansing is still on their speaker business though. But A dock station with speaker is always welcomed by the fans.

Just like what I said earlier, it can host iPhone and iPod together without crashing each other. You can play songs from either one of them or even from both of them. Speakal, the one who released the iPig has inserted a new cool looking docking station for iPod and iPhone. Known as the Speakal iCrystal Docking Solution, it has two cool blue-glowing light sphere emitting light from the rim. In case you don’t know, the spheres are the speakers itself. It has been masked pretty well and it’s very suitable for a decoration on your bedside.

Your iPod or iPhone goes in the middle, and there are a line of buttons for volume control and playback purposes at the front of the dock station. The iCrystal has 3.5mm headphone port, which mean this device is actually useful for any other gadget that has the 3.5mm port (PMP, MID, ebook reader, Tablet, etc.)

Chinavasion has introduced a unique iPod Dock called “Resonance Speaker iPod/iPhone Dock” that has come with the next gen of speaker, which is the vibration-based speaker that carry no speaker driver at all!

In Seoul, Korea, a company name Kee Utility has introduced a surprisingly useful docking station for your iPhone. They called it as “Desk Phone Dock” station, where it can turn your iPhone into a conventional retro wired desk phone for office or home.

This gadget is being shown on China Sourcing Fair 2010, the dock station has added more capability that is non-existing in the retro wired phone. Example? You can run a contact name lookup instantly without flipping any name card book anymore.

At the same time, your iPhone is always fully charged and you can just unplug it if you need to go out. The Desk Phone Dock has also coming with two built-in stereo speakers, microphone, instant mute function and volume control.

Buffalo, the popular HDD manufacturer has introduced one combo gadgets that mix both iPhone dock and Hard drive dock together. You will soon recognize it as “Buffalo HDD Dualie“, a device that will support 2.5-inch portable hard drive to fit the rear slot, while you can dock your iPhone 3G S at the front slot. The device would be powered by single USB 2.0 cable, compatible with both Mac and PC, and Buffalo HD Dualie even have equipped with 2 additional USB ports at the rear side.

One downside though, the rear slot for HDD docking is only compatible with Buffalo-branded portable hard drive with size up to 500GB. You can’t jack in a Seagate External Hard Drive, nor the Western Digital drive.

A new projector called Sparkz projector dock has been released for iPhone or iPod. The projector is in a Pico form, looks like a half egg design, filled with buttons, Mini USB port, A/V and VGA sources.

Sparkz Projector Dock have a quite large 60-inch viewing area on the 640 x 480 resolution, and you can also hear to your music via the built-in stereo speakers. The Pico projector is not entirely design for iPhone/iPod, you can actually use it for many systems such as gaming console (PSP, Xbox, etc), PMP, camcorders, and even the conventional DVD player.

Size-wise, this small projector can be stuffed into your bags conveniently and make sharing video clips with friends in a more enjoyable and portable manner. Sparkz Projector Dock would cost you $495 to own one.

UPDATE: You will also get one tripod and an optional mounting case that comes along with the package. That’s a wonderful bonus I guess!

A new portable speaker for iPhone/iPod with dock station has been released by ‘The Sharper Image’ company. This portable speaker looks quite impressive and thin with foldable speaker and dual alarm clock with snooze features.

It has a low profile after fold it flat which allow you to store this speaker dock easily on the pouch / soft travel case and slip it into your travel bag. The speakers is featuring two 2.25inch speakers with 3w each. When you want to use it, just remove the carrying pouch, fold it to the L shape, dock your iPhone or iPod on the proper position and you tune the songs of your choices. The Sharper Image Portable Speaker System Dock require 4 AAA size batteries to work properly, but you can also use the AC adapter to draw power directly from your power outlet.

As I’ve mentioned about the alarm clock, you can freely adjust the time using the buttons located beneath the base. Pretty strange though, they should have placed it somewhere easy to reach so you don’t have to lift it up each time you want to adjust the alarm.

Sony has released a wonderful Alarm clock named ICF-CL75iP with hidden dock station for iPod or iPhone. The hidden dock is actually a retractable drawer which you can pull out from the base. This feature, personally is beautiful because not everyone love to dock their iPhone or iPod near alarm. So Sony offer an option so you can either ignore it or use it at your convenience.

Sony ICF-CL75iP alarm clock has a cool 7-inch WVGA display which will double function as your bedside PMP player (support MP3, WMA, MP4 and AVI) and Digital Photo frame (Support JPEG files). Eco-Lover, here is another wood-themed gadget to pair up with your iPhone or iPod. It’s a Dock Station with real looking log wood base. My deepest impression on iLuv gadget is there internet radio. But here is another series from iLuv that pretty impressed me with its feature. It’s a Dock Station, and not just for one iPod or iPhone, it’s for two of them.

FM radio also available in case you want to enjoy your local radio station. I also has supprt for weather text alerts from SAME or NOAA that will come through on radio channels preset.

Personally, I love that sleek glossy black color with the white backlight shine out from the display. Well, although it’s cool looking, I’m not sure about how is the sound quality when tuning our favorite songs. It should be on some good level of sound quality since it’s from iLuv.
