It’s been a month since the official launch of Nintendo 3DS in Japan. As a newcomer, things usually goes pretty smooth. However, it seems the trend in Japan is slighting dimming off. The prove is the boatloads of second hands or used Nintendo 3DS have been found selling in Japan store. We are not sure what has happened, however, it seems the Nintendo 3DS is pretty buggy since it is pioneering a new 3D display technology. Some users in Japan has reported to experienced dizziness after short play time with the 3D feature turned on, but I believe it’s not solely because of that.

There is also a saying that Japanese people were just curious about the 3D effect on a handheld console. After tested and got bored with it, they sold it and save the money for the upcoming NGP from Sony.

However, it’s still too soon for us to make any assumption. Perhaps we should wait for few more months before judging further.

Logitec from Japan has rolled out new series of 1TB HDD codename LHD-EN1000U2HLW, which also known as the “Master Series Of Japan” external hard drive. Though I’m not sure what’s special, it’s been said that this series of external hard drive is designed for the professionals.

This external hard drive uses USB 2.0 interface instead of the latest USB 3.0, and it’s also available in the size of 2TB (codename: LHD-EN2000U2HLW). The price for this Master Series Of Japan External HDD is $131 (10,980 Yen – 1TB) and $167 (13,980 Yen – 2TB).

The KDDI has just rolled out an eye-catching phone dubbed as the X-RAY phone that has a translucent casing, giving us a blurred red/black themed insights to the inner design.

According to the source, KDDI X-RAY phone is containing QSD8650 CDMA-ready Snapdragon chip, GSM radio, 1-Seg TV tuner, 8-MP camera, a visible 7 x 102 pixel LED scrolling sub display on the outer side and it’s a clamshell-type of phone.

Two genius Japanese researchers from Japan’s Keio University has managed to mixed both PC-connected LCD panel with microwave into one. This device is known as “CastOven”, where it will allow you to watch your favorite Youtube video while waiting for your food to cook.

Like I’ve said just now, this CastOven Microwave is PC-connected or Mac-connected. Which mean the 10.4-inch LCD display is relying on a system before it can entertain you. According to the researchers, Castoven concept (yes, it is still a concept!) is heavily relying on special Adobe AIR apps to display content on the screen. CastOven will also detecting the length of the movie by cross checking with the time it need to cook your meals. Let’s say you’ll need 5 minutes to cook your breakfast. CastOven Microwave will search for the same length video on youtube server and serves it to you to fill your waiting time.

This October 22nd might be a great day for gadget lovers. Many of the new gadget will be released on that day, especially those with Built-in Windows 7 OS. As true as Lenovo IdeaPad S12 netbook, which were first introduced in May. The netbook will enter to the market on October 22th, exactly the date of the appearance of Windows 7 OS. However, it’s not globally, Lenovo set it to release on Japan first before going west.

The specification of Lenovo IdeaPad S12 netbook that will appear in Japan carrying the specs of the following:

• Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz CPU
• 2GB of RAM
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphic card
• 12.1-inch screen with 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution
• 250GB HDD, WiFI, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB ports, and card reader

So there is no NVIDIA ION on this version? Well, yes. It seems Lenovo is dropping the ION chipset and as an exchange, they stuffed in the GeForce 9400M GPU into the netbook. I’m not sure why, but I don’t care as long as it can help me play some 3D games .:)

Cute Household robots has been rolled out from RayTron’s sleeve, a company based in Japan. THis cute robots were entitled as ‘Chapit’, a cute robot that has been equipped with voice recognition technology so the robot can actually react and respond to your voice command. The Chapit also can communicate using a gesture based movement and even your facial expressions. Looks pretty cool, but I wonder why we need such a thing in our home. Have we grow lazy as the technology develops?

The Japan-based company, Green-House has introduced their new 17-inch tablet coded as GH-PTB17-E. The Tablet can display up to 1280 x 1024 resolution in SXGA mode, having a good 800:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m3 brightness level. This perhaps is the first product in tablet market as Green-House is famous of their LCD and Digi-Frame. The 17-inch tablet will compatible with both PC and MAC, and it will be available in Japan in this month. Let’s see if GeekStuff4U will import it or not.
