If you are in this situation, I believe you will love to add this new Kingston DataTraveler D6000 flash drive into your shopping list.

Kingston recently has updated their DataTraveler series of flash drive with this D6000. It is the stuff that when a single layer of AES 256-bit hardware encryption is too fragile. Aside the 256-bit protection, Kingston DataTraveler D6000 has more security feature to make sure you are peaceful with it. Or at least, even it’s stolen, the theft will never get a single data from the storage without a correct password.

The 256-bit AES hardware encryption is using XTS block cipher mode to make this even more difficult to crack, military-grade elliptic curve cryptography (EEC) and Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 level 3 validation also included into the system.

According to Kingston, the DataTraveler will automatically self-destroy when 10 intrusion attempted. Here is the full specification list if you want to know what it has got for you:

Features/Benefits:

FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Validated

U.S. Department of Defense Data At Rest Tiger Team (DARTT) & USCYBERCOM approved

Very soon, Seagate GoFlex Satellite is going to get a rival from Kingston. Kingston has reported that they are going to roll out their new portable storage solution called Wi-Drive wireless storage.

Kingston Wi-Drive WiFi wireless portable HDD is designed for portable iDevices like iPad, iPhone and iPod only. No Android devices are included in the list, sadly. However, for just a mere 16GB or 32GB extra wireless storage device, I think I’d want to get a 32GB microSD card instead, or just stay with Seagate GoFlex Satellite that has storage capacity up to 500GB.

Similar with Seagate’s, Kingston Wi-Drive wireless storage is run with a rechargeable battery that would last for 4 hours of continuous use. The storage itself support most file type you have in your PC, like video, audio, image and various kind of document formats.

Kingston Wi-Drive will come with a dedicated app where you can install it on your iDevices, and it’s used for browsing the the files stored on the wireless storage. Currently, Kingston offer no pricing details yet on Wi-Drive wireless portable HDD. However, you can read more details of the specification on their official site, or you can watch the following video for more details about this Wi-Drive:

Today Kingston has just announced a new series of RAM that support JEDEC-compliant settings. It’s known as the HyperX PnP (Plug and Play) series that is aiming at the high-performance enthusiast like overclocker or gamers who’ve been toying with Sandy Bridge chipset. This HyperX PnP series RAM support up to 1600MHz or higher at 1866MHz. When plugged, it will automatically adjust the speeds without the need of manual overclocking activity or BIOS tuning.

Kingston HyperX Plug and Play Series RAM is available for both desktop and laptop system. More details could be found at the following press release.

Hsinchu, Taiwan — April 26, 2011 — Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the new HyperX Plug and Play (PnP) series of high-performance enthusiast memory. HyperX PnP are the first modules to scale the higher memory heights that are a part of the second generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs. The memory is programmed with faster frequencies and when ‘plugged’ into a system using the Sandy Bridge chipset, will automatically ‘play’ at either 1600MHz or 1866MHz in both desktop and notebook PCs.

The modules are programmed using JEDEC-compliant settings, allowing 1600MHz and 1866MHz frequency support. It is as simple as plugging in the memory and turning on the machine, as the system automatically recognizes faster memory speed with no further BIOS settings required. Users will notice performance gains as overclocking is automatic with the HyperX Plug and Play modules. In addition, the modules are backwards compatible with previously released DDR3 systems on the market.

“The HyperX engineering team has been thoroughly innovative in designing a memory module that automatically raises performance with no overclocking steps required,” said Ann Bai, DRAM Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “By using JEDEC-compliant settings to create performance timings, enthusiasts can max out native frequencies on current Sandy Bridge systems and older DDR3 machines.”

HyperX Plug and Play is available through Kingston’s channel of authorized distributors, resellers, and retailers. Kingston HyperX memory is backed by a lifetime warranty and free technical support. For more detailed product information please visit the Kingston Web site at www.kingston.com/asia.

Kingston has just rolled out new USB flash drive that has been protected by its cool looking rubber rugged enclosure. This flash drive is marked with DataTraveler R500 on the code list, and it’s one of their new rugged flash drive that will be produced in size of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Kingston DataTraveler R500 Rugged flash drive is not yet a USB 3.0 flash drive, so you can only expect the flash drive to read and write at the speed of 30MB/s and 20MB/s, respectively. Though I guess not everyone is ready to jump on the new USB 3.0 standard even it’s been a year since the technology launched. Which mean this Kingston DataTraveler R500 USB 2.0 rugged flash drive still has its own future.
