As you can see in the picture above, Minifit XL laptop stand has many hollows/holes on the plate. The function of the hole is to allow the fan to ‘plug in’ to any position as you want. This type of laptop stand is pretty cool because you can move the cooling fan dynamicly to chill certain part of your laptop. You can also turn it into a protective sleeve and Book stand if you need to use it as your reading tool. Love it since it’s a Multi-purpose gadget!

If you want to build you own cheap DIY Laptop stand, then you should go to Lifehacker because their reader, Aaron Kravitz has the example of $8 cool DIY metal laptop stand and a few strips of leather as the grip.

This laptop stand was made with only a few bars of metal, metal screws, a hacksaw and leather strip with the total price sum up to be around $8. Looks cool indeed, simple enough for anyone to DIY if they have the materials. Perhaps you would say that the laptop stand lack in stability, you can actually make the bars holding the laptop longer or just make two of them, holding your laptop side by side. That should do it.
