AAXA Technologies has introduced yet another pico projector called P4. This series is quite unique. Unlike any pico projectors in the market that look like a smartphone, this AAXA P4 Pico projector is similar to a conventional projector that have been dwarfed into a palm size model.

For its specification, AAXA P4 Pico Projector is coming with 750MHz Windows CE Mobile processor, 80 LUMENS LED Light engine, long life 15,000 hours LEDs, has VGA port, composite port, SD card slot and USB 2.0 port.

For the screen size, AAXA P4 Pico Projector is capable of projecting up to 80-inch of screen size in low light condition. You can’t hope much of its performance in a bright room as the 80 LUMENS brightness is really not the type for that environment.

AAXA P4 Pico projector is going to sell for $339. You can pre-order now if you are interested.

Check out this new pocket rounded projector with tripod stand. It’s the new mini projector from SAGA called Mini Cinema. This Mini Cinema is coming with a LCoS technology, supporting resolution of 800 x 600p with 50 ANSI LUMENS. Obviously, you can’t hope much from an 50 ANSI LUMENS projector, especially when projecting large display above 30-inch. I have notice that this type of projector is good for 30-inch or smaller because the brightness is still acceptable at that range.

SAGA Mini Cinema has used LED lamp so it has a longer lamp life than conventional projector. It has around 20,000 hours of LED Lamp life, which is about 2 years of life if you open it 24 hours non-stop.

Other features of SAGA Mini Cinema projector has includes 200:1 contrast ratio, has a built-in-player, SD card slot, 1Watt stereo speakers and it also support DV-in from various video gadget like DVD player or game console.

This SAGA Mini Cinema LED projector is available at two online retailers. One is the popular Amazon and the other one is at M2CMart with the exact pricing of $252.89 per unit.

Recently Samsung has inserted a new Pico projector called SP-H03. Samsung SP-H03 features 1GB internal memory (upgradable to 16GB), 30 Lumens, WVGA resolution at 854×480), built-in 1W speaker, built-in rechargeable battery that could gives you about 2-hours of battery life and it’s only weighing in 6 ounces only.

The projector has already using LED based lamp, which mean it might get a little bit hot in a short time usage. However, it can produce an impressive display even on an acceptable long range. For navigation, there are touch sensitive buttons at the upper side, including the on/off button.

For the best part, this Samsusng SP-H03 even supports multiple type of multimedia codecs such as AVI, MP4, ASF, MPG, RM, FLV, WMV video files and MP3, MP2, WAV, WMA, FLAC, APE, RA audio files. Everything is stuffed into 2.5 x 1.5 x 2.5 inches block that looks like a magic black box from the future that could display almost any files you throw in.

However, I’m doubt on the brightness level as it’s only 30 Lumens. It’s not really awful though, at least it can give you a bright 32 or 40 inch large display. Beyond that? I doubt it can display picture properly…

Above anything, Samsung SP-H03 will retails for $300 each.

Chinavasion sent us one mini projector with WiFi capability recently. This projector has been covered by us in the past, but finally we can hands on review the mini projector and exposing the pros/cons to you. In case you want to have one of this mini projector, this article will be useful feedback for you before betting your money.

This mini Projector with WiFi is practically small and handy for traveling. You can have your own big screen entertainment anywhere you are as long as you’ve got a big wide white wall for the projection. Chinavasion Mini Projector with WiFi featuring a LED projector head, compact form factor (L:137mm x W:77mm x D:23mm), can connect to local WiFi b/g, Internal li-ion battery, a practical wireless remote control and many other features such as weather report, clock, internet radio, web video, and so on.

It might looks quite intriguing, however, after testing for weeks, we have come down to the following conclusion in Pros and Cons descriptions.

Conclusion?

This mini projector with WiFi from Chinavasion score 3.5 stars from us. Although it’s a small form factor and traveler friendly, the biggest drawback that we have found while testing this puppy out is on the connection (port) problem. There is no AV IN port for injecting source from Laptop or external sources such as gaming consoles and DVD Players.

So if you need to play something on this Projector, you can only use the USB port that only detects USB Drives, or you can store your media files to an SDHC card and play them back on the projector.

More drawback is on the internet video playback function. Although it supports Youtube (as well as Tudou and Tudou HD), you can’t control the movie playback like you could on your web browser. All you can do is to “play” or “stop”.

The last drawback is on the display. As it advertised, this LED mini projector can display up to 70-inch screen size. However, screen size beyond 32-inch is getting blur and darker. The best viewable screen size is below 32-inch where you can get an acceptable brightness level.

Another cool Mini and compact projector has popped out from the factory of Samsung. It’s coded as SP-P410M, this Mini LED Compact projector has a good lens to display resolution up to 1290 x 1024 in SXGA mode or smaller resolution at 800 x 600 for SVGA mode with 1000:1 contrast ratio. It’s pretty a palm size projector, look at at the lady who easily single-handed carrying the compact projector and we guess it’s pretty lightweight, too!

Samsung SP-P410M LED compact projector also has one built-in USB port which you can plug your USB drive or external hard drive in, and it could detect a plethora of file formats such as WMA, MP3, AVI, DivX, PCM, ADPCM, OGG, JPEG, GIF, VOB, AVI, and lots more.

This mini compact projector will hit the Germany and Korea market soon with undisclosed price.
