Aside from their good business on selling millions of iPad tablet, Apple is also doing good on their MacBook sales. It’s reported that Apple is shipping more than 1 million units of Macbook each month regularly, with 20 – 25% of the number are occupied by the new MacBook Air that was just launched few week ago.

That is super amazing and it’s no wonder why Apple’s dare to bought HP Campus in Cupertino, making Apple the largest landholder in that area.

The sources cited IDC’s figures and pointed out that Apple’s combined shipments for the first three quarters of 2010 reached about 6.88 million units, and its global notebook market share rose from 3.7% in the first quarter to 5.2% in the third, while its market share in the US market surged from 6.7% to 12.6%.

That’s the record for 2010 alone. Apple is going to get a better revenue stream in 2011 because lots of new updates are going to be released, such as the iPhone, iPad 2, OS X Lion.

Apple has updated their Macbook Air product line with two new model that is just 0.68 inches (at the thickest point) thin! The design is really impressive. Just look at the picture above, I thought it’s a new stylus pen with built-in USB port and headphone jack, but I was wrong. That is the side view of the new Apple Macbook Air, both models that comes with different screen size at 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch has the exact some thickness.

The New Apple Macbook Air is just 2.9 pounds in weight, it’s super lightweight, especially when it has carried an impressive specs for a slim-type mobile laptop.

The System will come either with Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4GHz or Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz, Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, SSD-driven storage and the amazing NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM (shared). That means gaming is made possible even on this slim type system.

The most impressive features according to my observation is the battery life. Even it’s not using any CULV type of CPU, this new Apple Macbook Air is capable of working continuously for 5 hours (11.6-inch model) or 7 hours (13.3-inch model) and both models can standby for 30 days per charge.

Other important features also including the usual multi-touch trackpad, WiFi b/g/n, bluetooth 2.1+EDR, facetime camera, stereo speakers and omni-directional microphone.

Even better, this new Apple MacBook Air is now updated with a Software Reinstall Drive, instead of the classical Disc restoration tool. This would be nice for storage as the Reinstall Drive is very small, taking the form of a pico-size USB flash drive.

Out of everything, the most impressive chances are the pricing. Now you can get the new Macbook Air for just $999 (11.6-inch model) or $1,299 (13.3-inch model). This is quite a price drop since the last version.

Twelve South has rolled out another interesting accessory for your Apple’s Gadget. This time they are targeting to you who have Macbook. Twelve South introduced the “SurfacePad Colors“, a nice protector pad made of leather to protect your Macbook (not the keyboard) from dirt, oils, water or even scratches. It also give you a better handrest and you wrist can relax on the leather made SurfacePad. Well, at least no more plastic feeling.

Now that looks nice! Apparently, Twelve South SurfacePad Colors has revived the pale looking of Macbook default color into something more interesting. Depend on your favorits, there are four colors available, starting from Orange (my favorite!), pink, blue and grey. No black version though, pity on those who love luxurious feeling.

Would you like to get a $1,200 Solar charger for your Macbook? If ‘yes’ is your answer, then you should take your time looking at this newly designed Solar Charger called Apple Juicz Macbook Charger.

This Apple Juicz Macbook Chargger will provide you a storage for your Macbook, whether it is 13-inch, 15-inch or 17-inch and at the same time this bag-like charger will juice up your Macbook with its built-in solar panel, and it can fully charge your Macbook in just six hours.

There are two versions available to choose, one is 55 watts while the other is only 27 watts. The only problem that might make you ‘nay’-ing is probably back to the price, again. So, do you willing to pay $1,200 to get a solar charger for your Macbook? Or at least willing to drop the money on the table for the 27 watts version for $700? If ‘Yes’, then go ahead get one for yourself.

Press Release:

Apple Updates MacBook Pro Family with New Models & Innovative Built-in Battery for Up to 40 Percent Longer Battery Life

SAN FRANCISCO, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Apple® today updated the aluminum unibody MacBook® Pro line to include 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch models featuring Apple’s innovative built-in battery for up to 40 percent longer battery life. Each MacBook Pro includes an LED-backlit display with greater color intensity, the innovative glass Multi-Touch™ trackpad, an illuminated keyboard, an SD card or ExpressCard slot, a FireWire® 800 port and state of the art NVIDIA graphics. Starting at just $1,199, the MacBook Pro line is more affordable than ever, with some models up to $300 less than the previous generation. The industry’s greenest notebook lineup, every Mac® notebook achieves EPEAT* Gold status and meets Energy Star 5.0 requirements, setting a new standard for environmentally friendly notebook design.

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090608/SF28883)

“Across the line, all of our new MacBook Pro models now include Apple’s innovative built-in battery for up to seven hours of battery life, while staying just as thin and light as before,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Starting at just $1,199, the aluminum unibody MacBook Pro is more affordable than ever and sets a new standard for environmentally friendly notebook design.”

The new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models include Apple’s innovative built-in notebook battery for up to seven hours of wireless productivity on a single charge without adding thickness, weight or cost. Using Adaptive Charging and advanced chemistry first introduced with the 17-inch MacBook Pro earlier this year, the built-in battery delivers up to 1,000 recharges before it reaches 80 percent of its original capacity-nearly three times the lifespan of conventional batteries.** The longer battery lifespan equals fewer depleted batteries and less waste.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is a significant upgrade at a lower price than the original aluminum MacBook it replaces. With the same sleek and durable design popular with consumers, students and professionals, all 13-inch MacBook Pro models now include a seven hour built-in battery, an SD card slot, a FireWire 800 port, an illuminated keyboard and an improved LED-backlit display with 60 percent greater color gamut. Featuring the powerful NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is available in two models: one with a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive priced at $1,199, and another with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive priced at $1,499.

The perfect balance of performance and portability, the 15-inch MacBook Pro now features a seven hour built-in battery, an SD card slot, an improved LED-backlit display with 60 percent greater color gamut and 4GB of RAM across the line at an entry price $300 less than before. The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is available in three models: a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with a 250GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics for a new entry price of $1,699; a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with a 320GB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT graphics for $1,999; and a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with a 500GB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT graphics for $2,299.

The 17-inch MacBook Pro, which includes an eight hour built-in battery, an ExpressCard slot, a brilliant LED-backlit display, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT graphics, has been updated to include a faster 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a larger 500GB hard drive for $2,499, which is $300 less than before.

All MacBook Pro systems feature Apple’s revolutionary aluminum unibody design and for the first time can be upgraded with up to 8GB of RAM, and up to a 500GB hard drive or up to a 256GB solid state drive. The 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models can also be upgraded to a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. All MacBook Pro systems include a next generation, industry-standard Mini DisplayPort to connect with the 24-inch Apple LED Cinema Display.

Apple today also updated the incredibly thin and light MacBook Air®, making it more powerful and more affordable. Measuring just 0.16 to 0.76-inches thin and weighing just three pounds, the MacBook Air is available in two models starting with the new entry price of $1,499 for a 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with a 120GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, and a 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with a 128GB solid state drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics for $1,799.

Every Mac notebook achieves EPEAT Gold status and meets Energy Star 5.0 requirements, setting a new standard for environmentally friendly notebook design. Each unibody enclosure is made of highly recyclable aluminum and comes standard with energy efficient LED-backlit displays that are mercury-free and made with arsenic-free glass. All MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models contain no brominated flame retardants and use internal cables and components that are PVC-free. The built-in battery design results in less waste and depleted batteries can be replaced for $129 or $179, which includes installation and disposal of your old battery in an environmentally responsible manner.

Every MacBook Pro comes with Apple’s innovative iLife® ’09 featuring iPhoto® for managing photos, iMovie® for making movies and GarageBand® for creating and learning to play music. Every Mac also runs Leopard®, the world’s most advanced operating system, featuring Time Machine®, an effortless way to automatically back up everything on a Mac; Spaces®, an intuitive feature used to create groups of applications and instantly switch between them; Mail with easy setup and elegant, personalized stationery; and iChat®, the most advanced video chat.

Pricing & Availability

This concept design for Macbook is wonderful. After the mobile e-folder concept, this is the second worth to praise concept by Tommaso Gecchelin. It has a similar idea with Canova Dual Screen Laptop, but this concept has much more advanced technology and features.

Tommaso Gecchelin want this Macbook Touch concept to have <del datetime="2009-05-01T23:36:10+00:00">dual OLED touchscreen display</del> two screens with one touchscreen functionality, and with a new innovative technology called iSpine. So what is iSpine technology? In short description, it’s a techology to avoid exessive compression on the screen and allow the macbook touch to sit in multiple viewing angle and positions.

The large touchscreen area then could be used as a drawing e-canvas, which I think it’s far better than the current Macbook multi-touch trackpad.

Is this a joke for this April Mop, or it’s actually a ‘Real’ snapshot of the upcoming Apple Netbook. Here is what it will look like according to a Russian Magazine:

Okay, I have no idea whether it’s real, or not. Nowadays Photoshop artist is really ‘top notch’ in faking non-existing stuffs. So, there is no way to prove it “real” before getting the real stuff in your hand (or officially announced by Apple on their website).

The magazine also has revealed the specs such as 10,.4″ with 1280×768 screen with HD support, powered by Atom processor, 2GB RAM, WiFi, GeForce 9400M, 64GB SSD and so on but no sign of 3G wireless connectivity.

Whatever it is, I will believe it until I’ve seen the exact product in front of my eyes, or there is a video review about it. A little skeptical mind of mine.
