New smartphone from Motorola is having a quite futuristic design. Known as the XT615 Android Smartphone, this phone was launched in Taiwan as one of the thin smartphone at 9.8mm only, running Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with MOTO Switch US 2.0 that is quite smart at detecting who’s the guy you often talked to and apps that you used the most and group it into the front menu.

Sadly, if you are looking for a speedy phone like similar to Galaxy S II, this Motorola XT615 will not be your option as it’s coming with slow 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM only. However, if performance is not your main aim, this phone is quite attractive as it has 4-inch touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera with LED and front VGA camera for video chatting apps.

For storage, Motorola XT615 Android smartphone is coming with a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB and mini USB 2.0 connector. Other features such as Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and WiFi is also available. For battery life, Motorola XT615 Android smartphone is supplied with a 1390mAh battery that gives about 300 minutes of talk time.

Unfortunately, this Motorola X615 is not going to hit United States as it’s an exclusive offering from Taiwan Mobile for Taiwan market that will be available later in mid December 2011.

Finally, The biggie Giant has shown its true face. Not only they are trying to beat the competition (iOS) out of the water using their Android OS, now Google is trying to seize its own playground with it’s own products, too!

Google recently has acquired Motorola Mobility, which they have produced a good range of smartphones and tablets. Obviously, the popular Motorola Xoom is included as well. That’s mean Google is not only the software creator now. They are also the hardware manufacturer that will create a huge impact to the competition, either it’s on the software of hardware, the outer circle on the OS side or the inner circle that put themselves directly in the competition with their own manufacturing partners.

Obviously, the future release of Motorola Xoom might be the strongest and the most compatible system for Google Android OS. We are interested to see how the market and the partners will response to this surprise. Can they even beat the hardware produced by the company who’ve developed the OS at the same time?

Google, your appetite is too strong…!

Motorola has finally make their XOOM tablet (WiFi-only model) more affordable. It was complained by ZDnet crews that the model is actually $200 higher. They should at least price it at $399 to make it competitive.

I guess Motorola is taking their advise and they’ve taken the first step to lower the price. Motorola has officialy dropped the price from $599 to $499, while the specification stay the same. To refresh, Motorola XOOM WiFi-only tablet is featuring 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, Android Honeycomb 3.1 OS, 10.1-inch display, 1GB RAM, WiFi b/g/n, bluetooth, 5-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels front camera and 24Whr battery.

Let’s hope the company will take the next step to really drop it to $399 once and for all.

Just about 3 months parting from the first overclock, Motorola XOOM has reached a new ground level where it can actually operate at a blazing fast 1.7GHz! I supposed Motorola XOOM Android tablet is the first tablet to get that fast. The overclocking was done by a group of passionate XOOM lovers/homebrewers who’ve done their best at creating their own apps for this device. They are keen enough to even looking under the hood to find ways to optimize and leverage the tablet performance.

At this level of performance, Motorola XOOM is reported to be able to get Quadrant scores of 5,000, 70 MFLOPS in Linpack and 1480ms runs in SunSpider. Of course, since the tablet is running way over the default manufacturer’s specification, this overclocked Motorola XOOM is definitely on the dangerous state where it can toast itself.

According to XDA-developers forum, not all XOOM is capable of getting to this level. Only some of the most ‘fortunate’ build could reach this high without having problem like self-rebooting.

The release of new tablet is really ‘too fast’ for the consumer to digest. Just released few months ago, Motorola Xoom is one of the fastest tablet in the market with Android Honeycomb 3.0 OS. However, it seems the company has already has the second generation working at the lab. Yes, I’m talking about the Motorola Xoom 2. I’m not sure yet what’s the tablet is all about, but lately at PocketNow, they’ve received a various of leaked information on smartphones and tablet. That’s included Motorola XOOM 2 that said to get the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Apart from the OS, there is no more details about the Xoom 2. There was the leaked image too. But it’s been taken down by Motorola immediately. Was it accidentally? Well, I’m sure there is some sort of marketing move to tease and tell the market that they are working on something better. We’ll wait for what’s coming next.

Update: Hoop to Engadget if you want to see some of the leaked images, including the watchphone, smartphones and others.

With the great news of NVIDIA Tegra 3 appearing soon, Motorola Xoom is eagerly on the frontline trying to beat their competition using this Kal-E quad-core processor from NVIDIA. Yes, there is a planning that Motorola will be releasing the new series of Xoom Android tablet in this Q3 of 2011, as soon as the NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC has been released. NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC (System On Chip) is a marvelous chipset with integrated graphic card. This Tegra 3 is going to support insane resolution for mobile platform, where it can display up to 1440p video content with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. This Tegra 3 is also 5 times more powerful with its new 12 core GeForce GPU embedded.

With such powerful chip, Motorola Xoom is sure can beat the king of tablet, Apple iPad 2 and pull it down from the chart. However, we are still curious about the rumor of iPad 3 that will be coming in September 2011. Will Apple also uses something as powerful as Tegra 3? That’s an interesting scene to look upon!

First, it was overclocked to 1.2GHz. Now, an even crazier developer over at XDA Developers forum called coolbh3000 has managed to boost the clock touching the score of 1504MHz or equal to 1.5GHz!

Oh, it’s speed demon. No idea what’s the catch here, like will the XOOM burn itself? hardware failure in the long run? or the score is really nothing but a score that you can really run any application close to that speed. But overall, it’s a great news to hear that Motorola XOOM’s speed can be unlocked and boosted over its natural limit.

Finally, it’s here. The first tablet to run Google Android 3.0 HoneyComb, Motorola Xoom is now available on Verizon network for $599 with 2 year contract. It’s been long waited as this tablet is the most powerful of all, even better than Apple iPad. As a refresh, Motorola Xoom is powered by dual core Tegra 2 SoC, 10.1-inch touch display, dual camera (front and rear), 10 hours battery life, and more.

Apple should be able to feel the impact starting today. Unless they release their iPad 2 immediately, iPad could be looked down. But rumor has stated that Apple is going to launch their iPad 2 in this March 2nd. We hope it would be a valid information as we love to see the wars between giants.

As for the Flash support, it’s been starred with the following definition:

*Adobe® Flash® 10.1 will be available as a free download from Android Market(TM) coming soon.

Well, well. Please bear with it for a moment. Let’s hope that ‘coming soon’ won’t take forever.

Reason? I’m not sure. Just take a look at the following fine print taken from VerizonWireless website. It clearly stated that Adobe Flash expected Spring 2011 and the feature is not going to come along together like it was promised.

It this Thursday is the real launch date, I guess it won’t become a happy launching day as I believe fans and consumers will complaint about it. This is really a bad news and it’s either the faulty on Verizon side to publish wrong information or Motorola that is rushing their way without proper planning.

This a great news as there was no certainty yet when it will be available and what is the pricing. It seems BestBuy will be the exclusive store to sell this tablet from the start of the campaign. Sadly, there is no much information available at BestBuy official website yet.

Motorola has officially announced their Xoom tablet, which have been a hot topic in the past few days. The official announcement has revealed that Motorola Xoom tablet is going to using Android 3.0 HoneyComb instead of looking back to Android Gingerbread version. So the Bread not that tasty anymore, huh?

Of course, since the company want their tablet to run on Google’s upcoming Android 3.0, their specifications have tuned for the eligibility to run the system. Motorola Xoom tablet has come with 10.1-inch touchscreen display with resolution up to 1280 x 800 and it has dual core 1GHz processor running under the hood.

But merely fulfilling the requirement is not enough. Motorola has added more tasty features like front-rear facing camera with the rear camera has better sensor (5MP) and capable of recording HD video in 720p format, can playback 1080p movies, has HDMI output port, support 3G, 4G LTE (available in Q2 of 2011) and a set of functionality like accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope and compass are not the stuffs that Motorola want to miss.

Sadly, Motorola haven’t revealed the full specs of this cool baby and the pricing is yet to known.

This picture was taken by someone from Taiwan (who claimed to have to device hands on), and the tipster has also attached some of the details of Motorola Android tablet.

It was said the Android tablet to come with either 7-inch or 10-inch version, supporting 1280 x 800p, running NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC T20 dual-core chip, has gyroscope, 2-MP camera on the front, 5-MP camera on the rear, and it has 32GB MMC embedded yet it’s expandable via microSD card.

It looks pretty strong and might be a great challenge to the existing competitors in tablet market. Will posted more news when available.

This Motorola Android tablet prototype shown in the picture will be available in 7-inch and 10-inch sizes, and the UI will be very friendly for a newbies in this tablet environment.

Also, Google Map for Mobile 5.0 that offering Navigation, Dynamic Map Drawing functions and Offline Maps will be available as a special features for HoneyComb OS.

Unfortunately, since it’s just a prototype, we have no information on the release date and pricing yet.
