YouTube user drunkdebugger has successfully turned his Maemo running Nokia N900 into an Android phone running the latest Google Android Gingerbread 2.3.1. Nokia N900 is one of the Nokia phone that we have saw many Android ported in the last one year, and it seems it’s working pretty well even it’s on Android OS. Sadly, thorough the video, there is no demo of the landscape mode for the phone. It seems that landscape mode has been disabled or perhaps there is some kind of incompatibility that drunkdebugger didn’t show us. But overall, it’s awesome to see a non-android phone running Google’s latest Android OS.

On the next week at Nokia World, Nokia will not only revealed their Nokia Booklet 3G netbook, they will also launching their N900 Maemo handset which once to be rumored as tablet device.

Above image is the official picture for marketing purposes. It’s way better looking than the leaked real-shot few days ago (reported by BGR). Maemo is an OS of Linux for mobile, supported by Nokia and Intel. The device, according to the expert, looks pretty similar with N97 (symbian handsets).
