Octopus Earbuds Concept By Donghee Suh

What an octopus has to do with an Earbuds? Well, According to Donghee Suh, it appears that his concept was inspired by the suction cup on Octopus’ tentacle. Octopus Earbuds is using some kind of integrated suction cups with the ear tips, so that you can use it to stick on a flat surface like the iPhone rearplate or touchscreen area to manage the cable without the help of additional cable manager.

The Octopus earbuds are fitted with a silicon flap, which retract to become an impromptu suction cup. This ways you can easily wrap the cord around your phone/device and hook on the earbuds to the screen, in a neat fashion.

It’s really a simple solution that should have been produced since long time ago. Glad that Donghee Suh, the red dot design concept winning has brought this idea up to the surface. Hopefully, we can start getting this type of earbuds in the upcoming years.

This Octopus USB Hub is another cute stuff I’ve meet this week. It has a simple design, $12 only, support 4 USB 2.0 ports and there are various of color selection starting from white, black, purple and yellow. It might be a good match for the Kissing Octopus Couple Flash Drive, because they have the same theme after all!

Cute Kissing Octopus Couple Flash Drive

It’s been a long time we haven’t add anything to our Cute Stuff category. So, here it is a cute stuff in form of a Kissing Octopus Couple!

Well, it’s a flash drive actually… The available capacity is from 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. But that’s not the strong marketing perspective in this Kissing Octopus Couple series. I guess it’s more about the Love-hood between the flash drive because you can see the Kissing posse (well, that’s to the magnets at the end of the usb flash drive) and the love-love eyes at the head of the cute Octopus.

And you know what, this type of octopus figure is really Japanese. I know it because I’ve visited Japan before. It’s just looks like that takayoki symbol with a rounded mouth octopus. I can’t think anything related to it anymore.

Unfortunately, this takayoki, er, I mean the kissing octopus couple flash drive is not available yet and no information about the price and where to get it.
