OCZ has announced a new SSD storage called Synapse Cache SSD Series. This SSD is coming with SATA III interface and NVELO’s DataPlex caching software to boost the overall performance on both reading and writing speeds. This SSD is stated to be able to run at 550/490Mbps read/write speed and has 75,000 IOPS for the 64GB model, and 550/510Mbps read/write speed with 80,000 IOPS for 128GB model.

OCZ haven’t release the pricing and availability details yet.

OCZ, the SSD specialist and manufacturer has rolled out a news SSD variant called OCZ Enyo. This Enyo is a Solid State Drive that stand on the new standard. Which mean it has been treated with the USB 3.0 interface, promising transfer rate up to 260MB/s on some higher model.

OCZ Enyo USB 3.0 SSD will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB with all three of them using MLC NAND Flash memory and 64MB onboard cache plus USB 3.0 Micro B connector interface.

For the transfer speed, the 64GB has the lowest transfer rate at 225MB/s for read, and up to 135MB/s for the write speed and capable of sustaining the write speed at 40MB/s. The other two higher models (128GB and 256GB) boosting the 260MB/s read speed and 200MB/s on write speed while its sustained speed is at 150MB/s.

OCZ Enyo will be available in this month but we didn’t get any detail of the exact launch date.

OCZ has introduced a new series of Colossus SSD. Namely the Lite version (or Colossus LT) which has 3.5-inch model and internal RAID 0 with dual controller design. OCZ Colossus is based on MLC NAND Flash memory module, and it has been coming onboard with 128MB cache memory with background Garbage collection supports.

OCZ Colossus LT has nice black matte lightweight aluminum brushed case protecting the component inside. There are 4 models in total, which is the 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacity model. OCZ Colossus LT provides up to 260 MB/s of reading speed, as well as writing speed at the equal 260 MB/s.

OCZ introduces the Colossus Lite (aka Colossus LT) series 3.5-inch SSD (solid state drive) with internal RAID 0 and a dual controller design. Based on MLC NAND flash, this new series SSD comes with 128MB onboard cache memory and supports Background Garbage Collection.

The OCZ Colossus SSD is hitting the retailers now with a much higher price than what we have expected in August 2009. The 1TB version will score for $3397 while the 500GB will get half of the 1TB price at $1530. Hellish price, I assume. You can really get one super performance laptop at that price alone. However, SSD provide better protection for your important data. So if you have lots of data to store, you might consider spending some of your fortune on these OCZ Colossus SSDs.

The OCZ Colossus SSD is also available in 250GB and 120GB, both of the is priced at $820 and $438. Wow.

We are going to see a superhero launching on this August. The superhero has the “OCZ” labeled on its case, and it’s a Monster class SSD with 1TB storage capacity.

It was first introduced at Computex exhibition last June, the SSD weighs in 14.1-ounce, size in classic 3.5-inch hard drive dimension, but it has a better read speed at 250MB/s and write speeds of 220MB/s via SATA II interface.

Now here is something that might startled you. The price you’ll have to pay is as expensive as one high-end gaming notebook or desktop at $2,500! Whoops…

More detail on pricing has available. OCZ Colossus will be available in both 500GB and 1TB with pricing $1,200 and $2,200, respectively.

In this series, OCZ SSD has a even better and efficient controller design, up to 1.5 Million MTBF, up to 230MB/sec reading and 135MB/s writing speeds plus the huge enough 64MB cache for the drive. Perhaps you have known, SSD could extend your laptop battery life because it use smaller power than the conventional hard drive.
