Sony has refreshed their VAIO P netbook with much more faster Intel Atom processor at 2GHz, larger Storage with 256GB SSD, and the most important update is the Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional as the OS. This of course could cut down most of the memory usage and steep requirement on Vista, while giving much more improvement and performance for the VAIO P netbook.

Still, Sony will offers the basic system powered by lower Intel Atom 1.33Ghz or 1.6Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 80GB of HDD or 64GB SSD, GPS built-in and 3g Modem for Verizon’s EVDO network. The lowest specs of the updated Sony VAIO P netbook will cost you $850, with some add up will lift the price to $1000 while the highest specs can boost the price to $1,900. Sony VAIO P updated version will be available in the late November. If you got the money to spend, this VAIO P is a nice ‘Pocketable Netbook’ of the age.
