Dell has introduced a new palm-sized ultra mobile projector called M110 that is weighing in less than a pound. It’s not as small as the usual pico projector though, but you should appreciate the size as you can easily store it on your bag.

Even it’s small, Dell M110 ultra mobile projector is coming with DLP technology, 1280×800 WXGA native resolution, 10000:1 contrast ratio, 300 ANSI Lumens brightness and the LED lamp with long lifescycle of 20,000 hours.

One excellent feature it has is the built-in 1GB internal memory where you can store your document or presentation data. You can do your presentation without even need to hook it up with your PC or laptop. Which mean you can load your works directly to the projector, and go ahead to your meeting without the need of bringing any laptop.

This Dell M110 also coming with a built-in media playback where it can show media files from USB flash drive and microSD card. For external source, Dell M110 provides Three different input ports: A/V input, HDMI input and 24-pin Universal I/O connector for analog RGB input.

Chinavasion has created yet another portable pico projector. They call it the E193 Mini DLP pico projector which has packed a bit better of 20 ANSI Lumens brightness (compared to 15 LUMENS on their older versions), up to 80-inch of display supporting native resolution at 860 x 480p and 2000:1 contrast ratio.

For the life span, since it is a LED based projector, it could offers up to 30,000 hours of LED lamp life before you can let it retire. You can use it for 1 to 3 years depend on how long you use it per day.

This E193 mini DLP pico projector has offered both VGA for PC, laptop connectivity, and component cables for TV and DVD player. This pico projector is currently on sale at Chinavasion for $299.86, though you can get it cheaper if you buy more than 2 units.

AAXA Technologies has introduced yet another pico projector called P4. This series is quite unique. Unlike any pico projectors in the market that look like a smartphone, this AAXA P4 Pico projector is similar to a conventional projector that have been dwarfed into a palm size model.

For its specification, AAXA P4 Pico Projector is coming with 750MHz Windows CE Mobile processor, 80 LUMENS LED Light engine, long life 15,000 hours LEDs, has VGA port, composite port, SD card slot and USB 2.0 port.

For the screen size, AAXA P4 Pico Projector is capable of projecting up to 80-inch of screen size in low light condition. You can’t hope much of its performance in a bright room as the 80 LUMENS brightness is really not the type for that environment.

3M has a new camcorder rolled out from their sleeve and it’s one of the camcorder with a pico projector built-in. This camcorder is called CP45, it has 5-megapixel lens sensor that could record 720p HD video, has 2GB internal memory, expandable via microSD card slot to 32GB, has 2.4-inhc LCD display to show you the result, and you can use it to snap high quality images too!

Talking about the pico projector, it has a little bit higher than average brightness at 20 ANSI LUMENS, which should work fairly well on a dim room. The screen size produced by the pico projector is ranging from 10-inch to 65-inch, though I doubt the result would be good on the largest size. The battery could last for 100 minutes on projector mode, which I think is not too bad at all.

Android OS is not limited to smartphone and tablet, anyway. We have seen that the OS has been used on a Set top box, media player and many more. Now, even a projector is coming out with the support of Google Android 2.1 OS!

Yep, that is the new Pico Projector called Tursion TS-102. This pico projector is featuring Android OS, 3M’s LCoS MM200 projector, has 20 LUMENS brightness and coming with built-in WiFi connectivity.

It might sounds cool, but actually 20 LUMENS of brightness is kind of low. Even the specs list stated that it can give you above 100-inch of display, the result should be pretty blurry at that level. The best size is around 30 to 40-inch where you will get the best brightness out of the projector.

As for the storage, Tursion TS-102 pico projector has 8GB built-in. If you think it’s not enough you can expand it by using microSD card. No pricing and release date for this pico projector yet.

A relatively new company called Nioncom has introduced their MemoryKick Vision Pico Projector that is schedule to release sometime in Quarter 2 of 2011. This pico projector has a generous 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display embedded, as well as a HDD slot for 2.5-inch laptop hard drive that support up to 1TB of storage space.

The image above it obviously a computer rendered result, but the company insist that their product is real and will cost about $500 when launched. The MemoryKick Vision pico proejctor will be running Android 2.2 OS, and you will find 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, accelerometer, WiFi connectivity, has both HDMI in/out and USB port, as well as an SD card slot for expanding the overall capacity.

Sadly, there is no details on the pico projector specs yet. Well, let’s wait for its appearance in the next few months. We’ll reported back when more info has been unveiled.

Fans of Pico or micro size projector? AAXA has just unveiled their M1 Ultimate Micro projector that support the native 800 x 600 resolution with a better brightness level at 75 Lumens. The first camera that comes with a built-in projector is the Nikon CoolPix S1000PJ that is pretty impressive for a quick glance over the result of our photography in a big screen instead of through the small built-in LCD screen at the rear of the camera.

Here is a crazy mashup gadget that combined one pico projector, one Canon 1000D DSLR, one Joby Tripod and a 3D scanning software into one piece of 3D scanner called PicoScan.

The mashup is done by 4D Dynamics, where they are thinking that 3D scanner can be created with existing gadget without the need of a dedicated 3D scanning machine.

The PicoScan can be adjusted flexibly according to the angle you want and the snapshots of objects can be turned into a 3D models easily using the 3D Scanning software that based on Mephisto scan engine.

Currently, 4D Dynamics sells this PicoScan 3D Scanner at Amazon for $1,999. It might cost more if you want to buy them separately so just think it as a bundle deal or something similar.
