You do know Luxo, don’t you? It’s the very popular Pixar’s mascot that you can find it on the opening of every animated movie by Pixar. Now, the relationship between Luxo with this Tiny Tim booklight is probably none, but the shape is really similar that I can’t resist to pull a string between both.

As I mention tiny, this Tiny Tim Booklight is really tiny. At just 5-inch tall, can be folded or clipped to book and fit into the pocket easily like a mini LED flashlight. You can absolutely bring it anywhere. It’s good for outdoors reading, or even on the comfy bed where you don’t really want to turn on the light to disturb your partner.

Tiny Tim Booklight is using LED lamp that shine brightly with rechargeable/replaceable battery. I’m not sure though, where to put or replace the battery, there is no details on this matter yet. According GG, there is a switch somewhere. I believe it is that little nub at the back of the head.

Anyway, this Tiny Tim Booklight is not yet available to purchase. There is an expectation that this booklight will be available soon for $13 each.

Copia, the company that run the Social reading system is going to add a new ebook reader to their existing product line. This new ebook reader is reported to carry an amazing price mark at $99, which is the lowest price in the competition.

The full specification is not yet revealed, however, we have come to know that Copia will release the ebook reader in 5-inch screen size, and hopefully a great battery life similar to their existing ebook readers, WiFi enabled, as well as a crisp and better readable text.

Introduced by Hong Kue Lee, this “As Much As You Need” Lighting concept is a revolutionary idea. The concept a study lamp concept, where you can control how much light you’ll need by gesture interaction on the sensor on the body of the lamp.

As Much As You Need Light concept will let you customize which area of the light (in a horizontal line) that you need to get lit up, and which area to dim off by a slide/sweep of your fingers (thumb and index fingers) on the top sensor. This mean this lighting concept is also offering an energy saving solution for a eco-friendly lifestyle.

LightLeaf concept is one of the coolest book divider concept that I have ever seen so far. I have seen quite a few of book divider and reading lamp, and most of them has a separated light source or the illumination is not properly distributed to the entire surface. LightLeat is different. Designed by Valentina Timani, and it’s named as LightLeaf – the Lamp Bookmarker.

This LightLeaf lamp bookmarker concept is really cool. Beside it help you read book in the dark, it will act as your illuminated bookmarker. It’s pretty similar to the Bookmark Lamp or the super slim LED page light. But LightLeaf capable of distributing the lights evenly on each mm of the surface which make it a good reading light source in the dark.

Although I don’t recommend you to read on a dime light (bad for your eyes), it might be a great for some emergency situations.

It’s glowing, so by logical thinking, it should have some type of power source. According to Valentina Trimani the designer, LightLeaf will be powered by a small size rechargeable battery, and it can be recharged wirelessly. I know WiFi charger is now existed, but can this thin layer of book divider installed with that new technology?

Unless it has some type of port to hook up with the Airnergy Charger, It’s pretty impossible to stuffed that new technology into a thin layer.
