Taking a photo with Samsung MultiView MV800 is going to be an interesting experience as you won’t be limited by the LCD display. In a common digital camera, it’s difficult to self-portrait as we don’t have a clue whether the position is correct, or the face is smiling or the eyes are blinking. That why last year Samsung rolled out their ST225 and ST220 dual LCD digital camera to solve this problem. However, since the secondary LCD display is small, it may become a problem for some users.

The latest Samsung MultiView MV800 has a rotatable/adjustable main LCD screen where you can flip it around as much as 180-degree, from behind to the front view where you can view everything clearly. Also, taking images with this MultiView MV800 can be done from any Angle of your choice. It’s pretty similar with the concept we have posted here called “Zero Angle Digital Camera“.

Watch the following video demo for more details:

The screen is 3-inch large, so you don’t really have to focus too much when doing self-portrait compared to the mini sized secondary LCD display. The MV800 digital camera has come with 16.1-megapixels resolution lens sensor, 5x optical zoom, can record 720p movie, has dual mode image stabilization, can output the result to HDTV via HDMI output and there is a microSD/SDHC card slot, too! Supposedly it could handle up to 32GB, however, we found that the spec list in Samsung website has listed 2GB only. It doesn’t make sense as most digital camera can support up to 32GB of microSD card. However, if it’s true, it may become the biggest drawback for this camera.

Price wise, Samsung MultiView MV800 Digital camera is going to cost $280 a pop. Sadly, no info yet when it will be shipped.

Since the glory of the Flip HD Camcorders, many users have seen the usefulness of the built-in USB connector that allows quick connection to the PC without the hassle to find USB cable to hook them up. However, most camera nowadays still has no such built-in USB connector to share, that’s why Samsung took the initiative to fill this demand.

They’ve just rolled out the PL90, point-and-shoot digital camera with built-in USB connector similar to the Flip’s family. This is an extremely useful feature that only those Camcorders has until now. But now, DC owner will be able to enjoy this feature as well. I believe most camera that will roll out in the future will get this feature too if Samsung can drive more sales with the Built-in USB connector.

Another great feature the Samsung PL90 has is the built-in Smart Album function. The system will let users search for images in a simpler manner. User can sort the images store in the SD card by the date, time or even by color! Pretty smart.

Talking about the camera, The Samsung PL90 Camera itself has 12.2MP sensor, 4x zoom and 2.7-inch LCD display. Quite good for a $149.99 camera where most consumers can get it without a problem.

Samsung has the most brilliant camera design for the era! They’ve included a front LCD display so you have a better self-portrait posture and not guessing blindly how’s your face before snapping it into the camera. This is the latest digital camera coded as ST225 and ST220, the two model that get the front-LCD treatment.

The front facing LCD display measure in 1.5-inch only, but it’s enough to let you see what’s the lens focus on.
To activate the display, you only need to gently tapping and it will turn into the self-portrait mode to snap your smiling face (yep, it has a smile detector, too).

At the rear side, you will find a wide 3.5-inch touchscreen display with haptic effect. The screen size is limited to ST225 model only. The Samsung ST220 have slightly smaller screen of 3-inch, but it has a thinner dimension.

The best feature of this camera is the thoughtful application of ST225 front LCD. It can play a cute and short clips of cartoon animation to suck children attentions. Most of children usually has less attention to the camera, so with this kind of feature hopefully we can get a better snaps of them with less efforts.
