I believe you have heard about the bed of nails or needles used by those magicians to show off their magical skill. It looks so hurt to me, and I wouldn’t even want to imagine lying on those. But, how about this new chair the “Screw Chair” created by Revol-Design?

Now that looks interesting! Unlike the Sound Chair, there is no smooth cushioned seat here. However, it also have no sharp edge, and you can virtually sit on this Screw chair comfortably, claimed by the designer. You would never know how’s that “Comfortableness” means until you’ve sat there by your own.

Screw Chair consists of 3,726 black drywall screws arranged neatly in grid lines. Each screw has the sharp end embedded into scraps of Douglas fir wood. Therefore, it won’t hurt your skin directly, and it will allow a good air circulation beneath the seat since the grid arrangement has created enough spaces to remove heat.

Any downside for this Screw Chair? Well, yes. I think there are several downsides such as if you sit and lying on this screw chair without wearing a shirt, you’ll have your back with a bunch of screw marks. Or, the screws will be probably unfriendly with your clothing, especially that wool made type of wear.

This version of smartdriver comes with an “assistant” in form of a magnetic extended arm that is retractable to help elder who have become less coordinated to bind and putting screw correctly without using both of the hand. Furthermore, it has a 6-position clutch to prevent stripping any of the screws and a Spotlight-LED lighting to help them see in the dark.
