Another watch concept has been transformed into a reality by Tokyoflash – the company that is popular of their weird alien-tech watches. This time, it’s the concept design of Scott Galloway from the UK which looks much like a TRON inspired LED watch design. Known as Kisai Seven, it has a two circle of light design in the middle of the watch and leave nothing but a blank face. To read the watch, you have to figure out the dimmer spot in the light circle in both circles to tell the hours and minutes, while the light rays above and below the circle will tell you the 1-4 minutes. Check out the following video for more details:

This Kisai Seven is not as complicated as some watches from Tokyoflash. No need to count like hell to figure out the time since the circle will clearly point out the hours and minutes, as long as you have a clear idea where the default clock number position is.

If you are interested, this Tokyoflash Kisai Seven is available for a cheaper price at $99 in oppose to the original price at $139. This $40 saving deal is only available for the next 46 hours only, so if you want to save your money, you should go get one right now.

Head on over to Tokyoflash for more details.

Yet another cool looking concept design for Tokyoflash watch. They’ve been well known of their weird and alien-tech watch designs, despite of the difficulty of reading the time. Really, I’m not sure why people want to have a watch that is hard to read. Is it being stylish really matter much? Well, I’m not in this group. I would rather have something simple so I don’t have to make life difficult.

However, not all Tokyoflash watch designs are complicated. For example, their Kisai 3D Unlimited is easy to read, and the latest Tokyoflash Plasma Activated watch concept is also one of the many concept that require no special math skill to count the time.

Tokyoflash Plasma Activated Watch concept is quite simple because it comes with an analog watch design with red hemisphere indicating the hour, and blue hemisphere showing the minutes. As far as the alien-tech in this watch, the surface of the clock is actually sensitive to touch. Once you’ve touched it, Plasma Activated watch will sparks and shoot a laser-like ray to your finger from the two hemisphere.

No kidding. By far, this Hexagons LED Watch from Tokyoflash is the hardest to read watch as it’s elevating some kind of beehive puzzle to twist your mind when you are trying to read the time. At least, I thought so personally… (Perhaps I’m pretty suck on something like this. ).

This Hexagons LED Watch takes the time reading into the solving the puzzle in the beehive style. You really can’t read the time if you haven’t properly gone through the manual book. From the first sight, it’s a group of two colored light up hexagons lines, where you you have to tell the time by figuring out the mystery behind the hexagons and colors. I really can’t explain it better. However, the following image will tell you how to read them properly.

It appears there are several mode in time reading on this Hexagons LED watch. It would be a great timepiece to impress the girls and it’s impossible to read it without proper training. I’m sure even it’s too sophisticated to use, it would make a hot product on Tokyoflash as their aim is to make geek’s life harder than ever in reading time.

This hexagons LED Watch is still a concept at the moment, but I believe it would become one of Tokyoflash flagship products if it ever hit the mass production stage.

Tokyoflash has got another interesting watch design that will make reading watch a sort of challenge. Of course, that is their style anyway. Their previous watch designs are all amazingly alien-tech, reading them would make someone dizzy if they don’t read the instruction manual properly, or not having a good math in their head.

However, the latest watch concept is easier to read. I can say, the Right Angle LCD watch is the simplified version of Tokyoflash watch. Of course, you are still required to look at the surface of the watch in some sort of unique point of view or it won’t be the watch from Tokyoflash after all.

From the first look upon this Right Angle LCD watch, the watch has a tall face. Yep, I mean it. On the top view, the digital characters are blurry. You have to twist your arm to a certain degree before you can view it properly. This watch is designed with built-in backlight so you can read the time even it’s in the dark.

Even better, TokyoFlash Right Angle LCD watch has a built-in USB storage, with the USB port on the left side of the watch. Currently, this Right Angle LCD watch is still a concept. However, it will eventually end up being a real product if the product design has got enough vote from the users.

If you love to see this watch concept to become a real watch, go visit Tokyoflash and vote your voice.

Fancy for another alien-tech wrist watch? If so, then you should check out this new watch design from Tokyoflash Design studio. It’s not really made into the production yet, but I assume they’ll do it soon. UV Index LCD Watch concept design is coming with touchscreen, has sensor to detect UV and warn the wearer. This concept is pretty cool as the sun is not really that “friendly” these days. I get sunburn easily just by bathing 30 to 60 minutes on the the direct sunlight. I can assume the UV radiation will be stronger as well, so a concept like this would be wonderful to keep our skins free from bad radiation.

Tokyoflash UV Index LCD watch is capable of measuring UV radiation from zero to eleven to let you know the danger. As for the watch itself, UV Index LCD watch has an always on display with LED backlight in various kind of bight colors (blue, yellow, red or green).

As for the time reading issue, the hours is displayed in the center and the minutes is shown in a round manner, similar with the minute position on a clock face. Well, not really an Alien-watch this time, but should still make some one confuse figuring out the time for the first time.

As a bonus, the concept also stating that UV Index LCD watch will also coming with built-in alarm clock. Watch the following video for more details:

Tokyoflash has come up with another alien-watch called Kisai Rogue SR2. What’s special in this new series is, obviously, the unique shape of the LED lights for time reading. However, Kisai Rogue SR2 is not using any mini LED light system anymore. Instead, it uses the old LCD display technology for displaying the time puzzle. However, there is a LED backight that could shine in blue-green-red-orange color that is adjustable through the button on the side.

Just like every Tokyoflash watch, Kisai Rogue SR2 watch require so sort of learning curve before you can figure out the time. Here is the tutorial to read the watch:

The inner ring of blocks represents hours, the gap in the ring shows the current hour, as on a clock face. The ring of large blocks represents approximate minutes, the position of the gap shows the current approximate minutes. The outer ring of small dots represents exact minutes, every fifth dot being slightly smaller to distinguish five minute groups. Just look where the gaps are!

Tokyoflash Kisai Rogue SR2 watch is available for $179 (limited edition) directly via Tokyoflash website.

This watch concept showing clock in the radiation meter style complete with the nuke symbol. There are three parts in total that you must combine before you can tell the time.

Simply amazing on how Tokyoflash is capable of coming up with never ending type of watch design to impress us. We have seen many version of Tokyoflash watches, but this 24/7 Driver watch concept should be nominated as the simplest analog watch that Tokyoflash ever created. Most Tokyoflash watches are very difficult to read, but not on this 24/7 driver concept watch.

There are two types of 24/7 Driver concept, one coming with a blue line, the other is coming with a white color overlay that show the hour time. What’s amazing on this watch is the phosphosrescent ink that will make the reading much better when on the night time. As if the watch has also got their own ‘night time’ to have fun. Sadly, it’s just a concept at the moment. But who knows Tokyoflash will really release it for the market?

If you are familiar with Optical Illusion image, this new watch concept for Tokyoflash won’t be a problem for you to figure out the time. However, if you’ve never learn about the tips tricks to read an optical illusion image, this watch concept will make you headache as soon as looking into the line of ‘maze’.

Now, can you tell me what time is it on the watch above?

It’s 05.35, you can read the time if you know the characteristic of the optical illusion on the watch. It’s really confusing if you don’t know how, and staring too long on such an illusion might make you crazy. However, the watch concept is pretty generous though. Even if we know that Tokyoflash’s watches are all confusing as hell, but this new concept has provided a one push button to reveal the time without much hassle (if you’ve gave up figuring the time).

Pretty cool, but we just don’t know yet if this concept could make through to the production stage.

This is certainly a fun design for a futuristic watch, the type of watch that always carrying the name of Tokyoflash from Japan. Yep, this Two sided triangle LED watch concept might just become the next timepiece stocking in Tokyoflash’s inventory because the idea was just submitted by a Switzerland designer, Leuenberger Stéphane.

If Tokyoflash approved this idea and start making it, you’ll see it selling soon in the store. However, it’s still too early to tell if they will accept such a tech-fashion watch. According to the designer, this watch concept is more onto the fashion appeal rather than technical appeal. Up to date, watches from Tokyoflash is pretty much all for the technical edges. If they pick up this design, it’s mean they are going all out on tech fashion as well.

However, even though it’s focusing on fashion, the watch is still pretty alien-tech and hard to figure out the time if you don’t read the manual book carefully. I’d say that the designer did not fail in offering the technical touch in this watch design.

“12 and 9 are multiples of 3 which is why i’m going for the triangular shape. I’m going more for fashion appeal rather than for technical appeal. I’ve tried to respect the symmetry of the watch.”

Head on to Tokyoflash’s blog to find more details.

This traffic watch is just another terrific watch that will make your head spinning and eyes rolling if you don’t know how to read the watch.

The shape of the watch is looking like a normal watch, but what’s interesting is the Traffic map that will light up accordingly to show user what time is it.

According to TokyoFlash, the Traffic watch uses three map routes in displaying time. For hours (1-12), it will make use of the blue city streets, for 5-minute count, it will us the subway line in orange and the single minutes 1-4 is using the highway route that shine in green.

Aside from the unique time reading, TokyoFlash Traffic watch has featured an optional animation in night mode that will be activate once passing 6pm and midnight. Another good side is the rechargeable battery that could be charged via USB port. The rechargeable battery is good for around 300 charges and you can buy the replacement if broken.

TokyoFlash Traffic watch is currently on sale for $169 USD (15,900 Yen).
