Using USB port provided at the other side of the device (retractable), the device will be connected and you can read all of the memory cards that stored properly on the card reader. It looks like a reasonable good concept design, but again, it’s just a concept design that has not been produced yet.

I don’t own many memory cards and have just one functional card reader for my Kodak’s memory chip. However, I know people who carry plenty of memory cards in their cute little card storage boxes…. show offs! Yea I know you own many gadgets, click many pictures, store loads of data! Anyways, as I was saying; just having cards is not enough, you need to compliment it with a Card Reader. To cut the entire process by one step, Peng Qixuan has designed a multi cardholder that incorporates a USB stick. What a functional idea

Here is some funny USB Drive made by USBGeek.com. A USB Surgeon Drive that has been fully dress in the surgery clothes, and the body has the similarity with LEGO mini figs. But I wonder why they called it the Surgeon Drive? Is it because of the removable head (where it’s actually the cap for the USB Head)?

Well, I do guess so because beside the Surgeon themed character painted on this USB Flash drive, it doesn’t contain anything related to medical stuff. It also have no “PC surgery” type of software pre-installed to act as a rescuer for your PC when plugged in. So this USB Surgeon Drive is purely on the fun side only… Perhaps, Surgeons with Enough taste of humor might want to have one of this.

Here is another cool treat for Ironman fans. Just posted about the Iron Man Helmet Statue, another Ironman merchandise has appeared. It’s the Bobbleheaded Iron Man USB Flash drive with 2GB capacity.

The 2GB is pretty minimum, but you still can store something there. The price you pay for this bobblehead Ironman is for the 3-inch character instead of the capacity. The non-killing price at $24.99 will probably drive lots of fan to get one. However, you should hold your step for now as this stuff will be released on October 2009. Still 3 months away, but if you don’t want to miss this bobblehead Iron Man USB flash drive, you can actually pre-order it at EntertainmentEarth now.

Standing 3-inches tall and made of sturdy plastic, the Iron Man 2 GB Flash Drive combines a perfect blend of design and practicality into one cool item! Need to store that important file or clip of a movie? With 2 gigabytes of memory, this thumb drive can certainly hold its share of pictures, MP3s, or anything else you need to store on the go! The USB flash drive makes a terrific addition to any Iron Man fan’s collection!

Most of the flash drive that currently available on the market has no extra protection for data-theft to access to your flash drive content (except ironKey). So it’s pretty dangerous if lost the flash drive while it contain your sensitive information.

To overcome such a problem, Chinavasion has made a new Fingerprint-ready flash drive so no one can access your data except yourself. This is the first real flash drive with fingerprint reader functionality. We have seen one before (the ION Technology Biometric Security flash drive), but it is still a concept for 2010. Chinavasion has become the first to produce a real one.

This USB fingerprint security flash drive has a quite big 8GB capacity to store your sensitive data, and it only cost you a bit on the edge of $37.61 a pop. I guess this is a good stuff and it also comes with a recovery software if you happen to lost your password.

The latest invention by Hitachi will set you free from relying the actually NAS system as your network storage. Hitachi SimpleNet is the device that will help you turning all of your USB Drives, such as flash drives or external Hard drive into your home network storage in a snap. Just plug in your Network cable to the ethernet port, and jack in your USB drive into the provided (two of them) USB ports.

At a mere $79, SimpleNet will connect your network and turning almost any external USB storage device into your NAS, with hot-swappable functionality. SimpleNet is actually design to work together with their SimpleTouch or SimpleDrive from Hitachi, but working with drives from other brand is also allowable. The only problem that will (probably) occur is the driver compatibility between your storage devices and SimpleNet USB-to-Ethernet gadget.

Code name SBC-04D1S-U, this portable blu-ray drive has a good 4.8x read speed for BD-ROM/RE to prevent slow Blu-ray disc loading time, and it also comes with a copy of Cyberlink software (probably something like PowerDVD or Power2Go) to play your video. It will support most laptop, but it can only deliver the HD content to LCD Screen that have either HDMI or DVI (HDCP) port.

Some interesting rumor floating in the net right now about the latest Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft. The rumor says that Windows 7 will be shipped on a flash drive, while still leaving the DVD version as a selection for users. So in the final release of Windows 7, you will going to get three selection: Flash Drive, DVD or Download it directly from the internet.

Personally, I think this is very convenience and most-likely user will choose the Thumb drive version because it is faster than DVD in some area. And this also a cool solution for Netbook user who want to upgrade their OS while lacking of DVD drive.

Like the title said, this PQI Cool Drive U360 USB drive can act as your PC-to-PC connector, or PC-to-Laptop connector so you can actually transfer files between them. It’s excellent because usually we will need a LAN cable to do this stuff. But now, with a flash drive + one USB mini to USB Standard retractable cable, you can connect PCs without first setting the network connection.

I has a built-in software to do the transfer, so it’s pretty hassle-free. The flash PQI cool drive U360 has a size of 4GB and up to 16GB available to choose from. No pricing yet on this PQI U360, but you can visit the product news page for more information.
