I’m absolutely agree on idea saying that our computer desk is too boring and fully stuff with lifeless form of devices (mouse, speaker, flash drive, smartphone, etc.) Although there is nothing wrong with it, but decor it up with something cute or fun is pretty useful to release stresses while on the work space.

Here, a clever twist of design of USB Hub and Flash drive by WePlayGod that resemble a happy mother pig (USB Hub) and three little pigs (USB flash drive) with retractable USB connector.

The mother is in the position of ready to breastfeed her children, and the children have an open mouth ready to taste the love of their mother.

This Pig Buddies is a concept design at the moment, but I would like to see them appear in the market. However, I guess I will not need another USB 2.0 Hub anymore. It would be great if WePlayGod could make it as the modern breastfeeding mom that support USB 3.0 superspeed standard, while the kids are USB 3.0 flash drive instead of the using USB 2.0 interface.

Green House, the company from Japanese has rolled out their latest unique keyboard called GH-USB-KY10 multifunction keyboard. This keyboard has a unique curve out design (but not the ergonomic type like Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000) which they call it Arch-shaped keyboard design. The feature that make this keyboard interesting is slide-out numpad. There is some sort of hidden drawer like a DVDrom drive on your laptop that you can slide out to find the numpad, and slide in again when not in use. it will save some space and if your desk are cramped with papers and documents, you’ll feel grateful to have this type of numpad.

Other features that you may like are the 10-hotkeys above the keyboard and the scroll button for instant zoom. It looks like a nice keyboard, and it only cost US$26 (equivalent price of 1,980 Yen) to get one. However, it’s sad because only those in Japan can get it at the moment…

Chinavasion has rolled out an interesting product call CVTA-K112 Hybrid USB hub with 12-ports.

Hybrid USB hub? Well, at least we thought so. The reason is because the USB hub has both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports mixed together. Yes, half of the ports, 6 of them are USB 2.0 ports and another 6 of them are USB 3.0 ports. Which mean you don’t have to purchase any USB hub anymore in the future, unless USB 4.0 has been released.

This USB 3.0 HUB will save you the hours; after all, you’re only really awake 16 hours a day. Why waste much of that waiting for your collection of movies, or almost missing the project deadline because you have to wait 2-3 hours to transfer files from one location to another.

Don’t have a USB 3.0 port on your computer? Not a problem! Simply order this product together with our CVTA-K112 USB 3.0 PCI card for desktops, or the CVTA-K113 USB 3.0 Express-card Adapter for laptops, and in a few short days you can finally enjoy amazingly fast USB 3.0 transfer speeds.

CVTA-K112 USB 3.0/USB 2.0 hybrid USB hub is available for $40 at Chinavasion, or you can get it less by bulk ordering.

With many devices started to have USB 3.0 technology, it’s crucial to have another USB 3.0 Hub just like the USB 2.0 version to expand the port. If your computer has only one USB 3.0 port, this new TRENDnet USB 3.0 hub will add multiplied it to 4 usable USB 3.0 ports.

“With the rapid adoption of USB 3.0 devices, TRENDnet’s 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub allows users to share content between USB 3.0 devices and your computer at 5Gbps speeds,” stated Zak Wood, Director of Global Marketing for TRENDnet. “The total time savings produced by this hub is well worth the investment.”

This TRENDnet 4-port USB 3.0 Hub has the codename of TU3-H4, weighing in 68 grams only, and it’s using USB 3.0 Type B port to hook up with your PC’s USB 3.0. It will be available soon for $80 USD, fully backed with 2-year limited warranty.

With no drivers required, simply plug into any free USB 3.0 port on your PC or Mac, and experience the time savings when transferring data at 5Gbps-10 times faster than USB 2.0 speeds. An included power adapter ensures proper operability of power hungry USB-powered devices. The included USB 3.0 Type A cable is backward compatible with common USB 2.0 ports. Currently, most computers have built in USB 2.0 ports. Users can add 5Gbps USB 3.0 ports to their computer with TRENDnet’s 2-Port USB 3.0 ExpressCard Adapter, model TU3-H2EC, or 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Adapter, model TU3-H2PIE.

The USB Octopus USB Hub, is a octopus with 7-tentacles that ready for you to plug in your USB gadgets and hook them up to your PC. It support all USB 2.0 connectors, and it also comes with a dedicated AC adapter in case you need to hook up an external hard drive to this USB hub.

One leg for power, and 7 legs for all your USB gadgets!

If you’ve seen one hub, you’ve seen ‘em all. Thus, we don’t see the point of writing about USB hubs here. This one has 7 ports, so you can plug a lot of stuff into it. Got it? Got it. Now, for some facts about the majestic creature known as the octopus.

The octopus is a mollusk, just like the oyster. It makes one wonder… if oysters are an aphrodisiac, what would consuming 90 pounds of octopus do? Beating out everyone’s favorite Time Lord, the octopus has THREE hearts. Two hearts pump blood through the gills while the third pumps for the rest of the body. Their blood is blue.

When escaping a predator such as a dolphin (bad Flipper! bad!) or a shark, an octopus will sometimes shed an entire arm. (Don’t worry, it’ll grow back.) Sadly, the male octopus dies several months after mating. At least he died happy?

USB Octopus USB Hub is only $19.99 at Thinkgeek. Well, you know where to find these kinds of stuffs!

Well, they’ve created just another useful gadget after mixing three gadgets into one. The USB solar Charging USB hub may looks quite simple. But it’s actually a mashup between USB Hub, Solar Charger with Inner rechargeable battery, and one LED flashlight that could be used as an emergency tools.

The built-in battery hold 130mAh only, not quite big there but it’s still useful for recharging a cell phone for 1 or 2 emergency calls. Brando also added 7 battery connectors that suitable on most famous handsets. In case there is no direct sunlight to let the Solar panel do its work, the USB hub can be recharged via USB port through an in-car charger with 4 USB ports on your car.

Brando has this USB Solar charging USB hub for $22 only. If you are interested, get one at Brando now.

USB hub is not just a hub for your own PC anymore. There are a lot of company who’ve produced a USB hub that could be connected directly to your home LAN network to share USB devices to the entire network easily. We have seen some of them (Belkin, Logitec, GreenHouse), and the latest one has been introduced by Eminent, the EM4080 Network USB Hub.

Eminent EM4080 is manufactured by Netherlands company, and they’ve just made their announcement of this EM4080 USB network hub. The Ethernet USB Hub has 4 USB 2.0 ports, and one ethernet port with DC port and reset button.

All you have to do is to hook it up with your network LAN cable, and magically all of your PC in the network can access to the USB devices plugged onto the Network USB Hub. Practical and easy.

Wow, so realistic. This type of gadget is similar to one of our post about the mouth watering Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake USB Hub. However, this tasty Burger USB Hub is made of Polyresin material, and you can find up to 4 USB ports inside the bread cap.

For $19 only, you can get one for yourself. Yes, it’s one expensive burger to have! I can get 7 layers meat slice for that price!

A double purpose gadget is usual, but not with the triple functionality one. This latest gadget from ThinkGeek is really one of the unique + geeky gadgets, where you can host two Hard Drives (both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch are compatible), while at the same time it can become your Card reader and USB hub.

The official name is ‘Communicator D2 – SATA Docking Station’, however, this piece of geeky device should actually have a longer name because it has a triple functionality. I’m not sure about you, but I’m totally sold by this kind of gadget because I love multi-purpose gadgets.

ThinkGeek sell it $99 a pop right now. I guess the pricing is very reasonable and saving money. If I have to buy a separated HDD dock station, USB Hub and Card reader, It will cost more than a hundred bucks and my work desk is probably going to be a crowded workspace.

This hat is actually an electronic device, a USB hub to be exact. The bunny ears are made of USB cable with both of its USB head stuck inside the USB port.

This USB hub have 8 pieces of USB 2.0 ports, where you can host your USB gadgets there. Although it’s not as mind-blowing as the 80-port USB Hub, this Cylindrus 8-port USB hub still can help you solved the lacking of port in your laptop.

Of course, the shape of this USB hub is a bit flashy for a commoner, but it will be a suitable USB hub for magician who love to pop something out of the hat.

Currently, this Cylindrus 8-port USB Hub is not manufactured yet. It is a design idea made by Art Levedev Studio.

A Designer from China, Gonglue Jiang has submitted an interesting concept design to YankoDesign. This concept is called ‘InfiniteUSB’, a USB cable with integrated USB jack. A single of the InfiniteUSB may not make any difference, but it is actually a design that has completely unlocked the potential of unlimited USB ports for your computing needs.

You might have read about the 16-port, 24-port, 49-port USB Hub and even the 80-port USB hub. It sounds impressive, but according to the concept designed by Gonglue Jiang, unlimited count of USB port means you can expand as MANY as you need. Theoretically, it sounds impressive and when the arrays of horizontal USB jacks running out of juice, you can plug another infiniteUSB socket with AC adapter to give extra power to the group of infiniteUSBs.

Though the concept says it has the possibility to get an unlimited number of USB devices plugged into your PC using infiniteUSB, I still believe there is a limitation in some way that will occur (OS, BUS power, or Hardware limitation). And can you really find a long horizontal space to fit in 200 of USB jacks? The infiniteUSB socket has no way to go except keep adding the horizontal line. There will still an end of it (limited by room width/length) unless you are trying to break the world’s record by getting it out to the spacious park.
