Sony has unveiled their latest Android smartphone called Live with Walkman. This Android Phone can be considered as one of the music-centric smartphone that most audiophiles should love to have one.

This Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is featuring single-core 1GHz processor with 380MB of RAM, 3.2-inch of touchscreen display (supporting 480 x 320p), has both front facing VGA camera and 5-megapixels rear facing auto focus camera with 720p HD video recording features, as well as other essential features such as WIFi, bluetooth connectivity, GPS map, DLNA certified sharing, Sony’s xLOUD system that enhance the audio output, deep integration with Qriocity for music content and it’s powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread that is currently the best OS for smartphones.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is also having a deep integration with Facebook, especially for music sharing and discovering. It also has a dedicated Walkman button to let you access your music library easily.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is going to be available in this Fall season for an undisclosed pricing.

Sony is not enough with their XPERIA Play phone. Why? Because recently, guys from AndroidGuys has received a teaser ad from Sony stating the following:

“A Smarter Walkman phone is coming soon”. What would it be? An Xperia Walkman? How smart will it be? Will it be another PlayStation certified smartphone? Will it be a tablet-like device with plethora of multimedia playback supports? Probably, no one can tell yet.

But since Sony haven’t announced the detail of what they are hiding in their sleeve, we won’t start any useless speculation and rumor. Let’s just wait and see what’s Sony has to offer. It should be something that Walkman lover would die for.

The New Walkman is a PMP as well. Yes, that’s what Sony want to socialize with the market. The old walkman cassette player is no more a trend, but Sony has revived the brand by twisting more features and functionality into the device. Now, after so many release of similar looking Walkman, Sony has unleashes two new Walkman PMP series under the code name of NWZ-E353 and NWZ-E354.

These two series is distinguishable via the capacity of the player, where NWZ-E353 is carrying 4GB of storage, while NWZ-E354 is getting 8GB of storage space.

Both Sony Walkman NWZ-E350 series comes with an identical features and specs, such as the colorful display, FM Tuner, clear audio technologies, SenseMe technology, new UI with Album scroll and scene scroll, can bookmark and create new playlists on-the-fly, support MP3, WMA, AAC, linear PCM audio files and WMV video files.

Both Sony Walkman NWZ-E353 and Walkman NWZ-E354 are priced at $40 and $80, respectively. Well, it’s pretty affordable for the market.

Sony released another series of Walkman known as the Sony Ericsson Spiro and Ericsson Zylo apart from their waterproof walkman yesterday.

Sony Ericsson Spiro and Ericsson Zylo is considered as mid-range walkmans, mixed up with cell phone functionality. Both Walkman models support dual-band HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (3G enabled for Zylo). The focus on these to provide an exceptional audio experience and quality.

Sony Ericsson Zylo has supported HD FLAC audio format, which provides high-quality lossless audio codec to deliver the best sound experience with Clear Audio Technology. Zylo has a 2.6-inch TFT QVGA screen and scratch-resistant surface.

Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson Spiro has a slightly lower specs. It has got a compact slider with dual-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and 2MP camera. The screen is also smaller at 2.2-inch QVGA TFT screen, but it provides a memory card slot supporting up to 16GB microSD card.

Both Walkmans should hit the store in Q3 this year with undisclosed price.

Sony is going wild again in adding new line of product to the Walkman series. After introducing Walkman S-series and X-series, Sony has got another new series coded with ‘A’. This series is assume to be the coolest Walkman series because it carries a great range of specification and features.

Sony Walkman A Series will be available in three most wanted sizes of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, it also get a cool OLED 2.8-inch screen, PS3 compatible, supports MPEG-4, AVC, WMV video files and WMA, ATRAC, PCM and AAC audio files.

This A-Series walkman has a slim form factor, and the amazing thing here is the weight that just about 62g only.

If you’re interested in a simple DAP and doen’t want to bother with apps an stuff like that, the A Series Walkman is a real killer!

The Giant electronic company Sony has released new MP3 player dubbed as Sony Walkman S540. Well, unlike the old ‘Walkman’ perspectives (where you can hear to music only), Sony want us to call this S540 as a VMP or Video MP3 Player because it can also play various kind of video formats.

According to the press release, this Walkman S540 Series is Sony’s first walkman to pair up with stereo speakers and 2.4-inch LCD in just 10.22mm form factor. The shape looks similar to a slider phone, but no cell phone functionality found there. According to Sony, this walkman can tune music to your ears for 42 hours continuously until you deaf via earbuds, or 17 hours via the built-in speaker, but you can only use it for 6.5 hours to watch video at 320 x 240 resolution.

The other good additional feature it has is the built-in FM radio, and the capability to record radio broadcasts directly into the walkman’s storage. Pretty cool, but up to date there is no news on how large the space is(see below).

Oh, did I mention Sony Walkman S540 also comes in variety of colors? It has Black, Pink, Red and even Violet. Pretty nice, but still no news when it will hit America.

UPDATE: this Sony walkman S540 will be available next month in two different sizes and pricing (8GB for $110 and 16GB for $130).

Sony has a leaked pricing for their new X-Series OLED Walkman. Although there is no concrete statement for their pricing factor, CrunchGear said that they’ll cost around $299 to $399 depend on its capacity.

The Sony X-Series OLED walkman first appeared in Sony rewards websites with a point value to obtain the Walkman. The 16GB one is around 29,995 points and the 32GB require 39,995 point to exchange for Walkman.

The pricing was assuming 1 reward point equal to 1 cent. So it’s pretty reasonable price and make sense for the market.
