This is a new iPad 2 stand designed by Tonerico Inc. Calm Trees S iPad stand is made with “one hundred thousand and four cypress” according to the translation, which sounds like something incredible (but I’m not really sure about it).

The stand will allow iPad 2 to stand at 73-degree and 69-degree, horizontally only. You will not want to put it on portrait mode as it might crack your iPad’s edge screen.

Also, it could be used on an iPhone 4 with case which it could stand on 75-degree viewing angle.

There are a lot of calendar design in the market but we found that this version by Sebastian Bergne is the one with the most unique twist. It is nothing but a wood with jagged top, and a star-like ball topping the jag. According to Bergne, the star can be positioned on on the serrated side of the ruler. The wood ruler will show the date and the star will show you the day.

Obviously, the ruler is also a “ruler”. But if you are hoping to see what holidays you’ve got in the particular month, sadly, you will never know about them with this monthly measure calendar and ruler.

Polish designer Stanisław Płoski has come up with an eco-friendly bike that uses plywood as the main frame of the bike. While personally I’m not sure how strong this plywood can be, but this idea of plywood bike sounds fresh and new. According to the designer, the plywood frame was created with laminated veneer strips, curved in a manner that could hold the bike on the both lower and upper frame.

Based on the characteristic of a plywood, this material could provide an unique biking experience as it’s more flexible, can absorb shocks, light and strong.

“The frame utilises natural properties of plywood – a natural composite material that is light, strong, and absorbs vibrations. Geometry of the bike ensures a relaxed riding position and lets the user experience the pure pleasure of cycling. Components were selected with simplicity and easy maintenance in mind.”

Though I’m worrying about the durability of this bike. Will it become the food of termites if we store it outside the house?
