Tokyoflash has got another interesting watch design that will make reading watch a sort of challenge. Of course, that is their style anyway. Their previous watch designs are all amazingly alien-tech, reading them would make someone dizzy if they don’t read the instruction manual properly, or not having a good math in their head.

However, the latest watch concept is easier to read. I can say, the Right Angle LCD watch is the simplified version of Tokyoflash watch. Of course, you are still required to look at the surface of the watch in some sort of unique point of view or it won’t be the watch from Tokyoflash after all.

From the first look upon this Right Angle LCD watch, the watch has a tall face. Yep, I mean it. On the top view, the digital characters are blurry. You have to twist your arm to a certain degree before you can view it properly. This watch is designed with built-in backlight so you can read the time even it’s in the dark.

Even better, TokyoFlash Right Angle LCD watch has a built-in USB storage, with the USB port on the left side of the watch. Currently, this Right Angle LCD watch is still a concept. However, it will eventually end up being a real product if the product design has got enough vote from the users.

If you love to see this watch concept to become a real watch, go visit Tokyoflash and vote your voice.

Simply amazing on how Tokyoflash is capable of coming up with never ending type of watch design to impress us. We have seen many version of Tokyoflash watches, but this 24/7 Driver watch concept should be nominated as the simplest analog watch that Tokyoflash ever created. Most Tokyoflash watches are very difficult to read, but not on this 24/7 driver concept watch.

There are two types of 24/7 Driver concept, one coming with a blue line, the other is coming with a white color overlay that show the hour time. What’s amazing on this watch is the phosphosrescent ink that will make the reading much better when on the night time. As if the watch has also got their own ‘night time’ to have fun. Sadly, it’s just a concept at the moment. But who knows Tokyoflash will really release it for the market?

Ventura has just released a wrist watch with old and new technology fusion. What’s old is the Kinetic-engine that will self-power the watch without hassles of replacing battery over time. What’s new is the LCD display that show you the usual digit-style time face.

This wrist watch carries the name of SPARC MGS Kinetic-powered timepiece, and it will be shown down at BaselWorld 2011 soon. I’m a good fans of kinetic-powered stuffs as I love the fact that battery is sometimes pretty lame. Of course, it must be applied to anywhere possible and avoid anything impossible. Like, no one will love to move their HDTV around just to get some electricity.

Zach Weiss has come up with a nice watch design called Orbo. There are three of them, separated into Temp, Date, and Stop. All of Zach’s watch designs are unique and they have their own personal taste and usefulness.

Let’s take the Orbo Temp for example. This watch design is similar to the suggested name. It has a TEMPerature reporting together with the digital time. What’s unique is how Zach Weiss presented the overall time reading experience. It’s pretty revolutionary as there is no actual clock tick for reading time. Instead, it’s using an orb like digital display to show you what you need to know.

Notice the black circle on the 11am display. It should be showing you the minutes, while I’m sure the digital display will rotate as the orbs moving. The second one is Orbo Date, which clearly showing you the actual date in short in addition to the time.

The last one is pretty different. Orbo Stop is a Chronograph that featuring a cluster of secondary displays. It have one big orb accompanied by three small digital orb to show you the statuses.

Overall, Zach Weiss has done a great job with these designs. I’d love to have one of this strapped on my wrist if it’s been manufactured.

A Chinese-born German-based designer Yiran Qian has created an interesting digital watch with a big hollow in the middle of the watch. The big hole serve nothing but showing what’s this watch all about: The Faceless Watch!

In exchange for the time reading functionality, you can find there is a LED-like digital clock hands at the outer side of the hollow ring. There is one short, and the other long. Nothing rocket science here. The watch above both showing us 01:20, which is kind of easy to tell if you’ve accustomed to the positions.

If you dislike the hollow face, you can actually find ways to stick your photo there manually.

Sadly, this cool watch is still a concept at the moment. However, Yiran Qian has prepare the name for retail version of this watch which will be called “Eye of The Storm” if someone decide to pick it up and manufacture it.

I guess no one that standing in this world that love stale appearance. People keep changing and everything in this world is moving on its own way to its perfection. Now, I don’t know if that is the leverage/motive/main idea for Igor Chak, but Watch oNe is a type of watch concept that would not let your live looks static at all.

Watch oNe concept is a wrist watch concept with dynamic faces where you can switch the display with a push of button. The Watch oNe watch is using LED-backlit E-ink display, which mean it’s offering a sun-light readability while costing lower on battery life.

According to the designer, when this Watch oNe wrist watch appears in March 2011, the watch’s face could be downloaded via the internet and we can assume that the designer will sold those faces for a couple of bucks while offering users an ‘unlimited’ face-lift for their own Watch oNe. This is quite nice, remember Internet connectivity is very easy, and shopping for ‘Apps’ is pretty popular nowadays.

Looking back to the watch physical design, Watch oNe allows users to tweak its interchangeable parts, such as the bands, which mean you can find suitable flavor for yourself. The watch itself will be constructed with ABS plastic, sapphire glass, stainless steel and fine leather.

When the Watch oNe appeared, it should set you back at $350 a pop.

It’s really confusing if you don’t know how, and staring too long on such an illusion might make you crazy. However, the watch concept is pretty generous though. Even if we know that Tokyoflash’s watches are all confusing as hell, but this new concept has provided a one push button to reveal the time without much hassle (if you’ve gave up figuring the time).

Pretty cool, but we just don’t know yet if this concept could make through to the production stage.

Check out the interactive operating guide below to learn more.

Round Trip has an programmed light up function that can be initiated to illuminate the interface between 18:00 and 24:00. When activated, the lights will rotate on and off once every 15 minutes.

Here is another alien watch for the geeks, but it’s not from the popular Tokyoflash anymore. It’s from Chinavasion, the popular company that loves to mix and mashup gadgets from ShenZhen, China.

This is the Influx LED Watch, it looks futuristic and you can tell the time by reading the green, red and orange LED lights.

According to the sales page, this Influx LED watch is Japanese Inspired. Although they didn’t admit it’s Tokyoflash inspired, I guess I can safely act it as one. Well, apart from the source of idea, this Influx LED watch is pretty nice looking. There is also a reading manual in case you are confused by the LED when trying to tell the time.

The most interesting stuff is the pricing. On Tokyoflash wrist watches, you’ll have to pay hundreds of dollars to get one. On this Japanese inspired watch? It’s only $14. Peanut price. Just hope we won’t get a peanut low quality watch as well…

This traffic watch is just another terrific watch that will make your head spinning and eyes rolling if you don’t know how to read the watch.

The shape of the watch is looking like a normal watch, but what’s interesting is the Traffic map that will light up accordingly to show user what time is it.

According to TokyoFlash, the Traffic watch uses three map routes in displaying time. For hours (1-12), it will make use of the blue city streets, for 5-minute count, it will us the subway line in orange and the single minutes 1-4 is using the highway route that shine in green.

Aside from the unique time reading, TokyoFlash Traffic watch has featured an optional animation in night mode that will be activate once passing 6pm and midnight. Another good side is the rechargeable battery that could be charged via USB port. The rechargeable battery is good for around 300 charges and you can buy the replacement if broken.

TokyoFlash Traffic watch is currently on sale for $169 USD (15,900 Yen).

iWatch is like a projector watch, the concept made by ADR Studio is focusing on the Apple-like user interface on the small wearable screen and you’ll also get a pico projector that could show your photo collection in a small projected screen size on the wall.

The picture above show us the usual slide to unlock feature in iPhone, which mean iWatch will be running on iPhone OS and getting a touch sensitive screen. According to ADR studio, the touchscreen on the front has been encased with aluminum, and you can hook up with your bluetooth headset via bluetooth technology.

The designer has not yet to reveal what’s the spec of the pico projector, but we can guess it will have the at least 640 x 480 pixel resolution and as little as 10 Lumens brightness. Looks like a good additional gadget for Apple’s fan. But will it useful at all?

iWatch is a concept, so no further news on the availability yet.

As the exchange, to see the time require a kind of ‘touch activation’ on the edge bevel edge around the watch ring. Once tapped/touched, two Aurora lights will lit-up where the red beam indicates the minutes and the blue depicts the hour. On the non-active state, Aurora Watch will become a jewelry for fashionable individual.

Geoffrey Cooper has designed an unique watch inspired by science fiction called Geocentric Watch. This Geocentric Watch has the usual wristwatch design, but it has a different inner side with two circles that will move rotating in the circular / hollow face of the watch.

The Circles are actually the hands of the clock, designed like a planet circling the sun. You can also look through to the mechanical side where you’ll see how’s the gears working.

The rings of the watch are in constant motion, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The goal of this watch is to create a new form of telling time that will inspire and spark wonder in the viewer.

Well, no you won’t find it in this watch made by HD3 Complication. This watch which as been entitled as the ‘Black Pearl Watch’ have no such glamors dress-up. It has much similarity with Crystal Earth Pustule Watch where you can see the inner part of the watch via a transparent interface and it has been dressed like a pirate with skull head and cross bones.

The design coming straight from the world of pirates, the Black Pearl watch lets you see all of the inner mechanism, featuring a hatch on the 9 o’clock side of the case that looks like a cannon hatch of the nautical age of former times. The wheel in the middle that looks like a ship’s engine control shows the minutes, while the vertically positioned numbers on the left side tells you the exact hour to sail happily into the blue.

There is only 11 of them made available, and each of them will cost a real fortune at $400,000. Oh I can buy a luxurious house with it! And if you are a rich girl, you might want to get this as a present for your poor boyfriend so he can get rich over night.
