Microsoft is going to refresh its Zune HD and the PMP player will be coming with 64GB of total storage size in this 12 April. This portable media player is going to cost you $349, a bit expensive but you can carry up to 25,000 pictures, 20 hours of HD video or storing 16,000 songs. More than enough to let your hear to your music until you explode.

Microsoft Zune HD 64GB will still using the same system-on-a-chip system (NVIDIA Tegra SoC) and it has the same screen size at 3.3-inch supporting 480×272 OLED touchscreen, FM-Radio receiver and WiFi is also available.

Microsoft has today confirmed its own leak and announced that a Zune HD model with 64GB of built-in storage space will become available via ZuneOriginals.com as of April 12. The upcoming portable player will cost $349.99 and will be able to carry 16,000 songs, 20 hours of high definition video or 25,000 pictures.

Capacity update aside, the 64GB Zune HD will have the same features as its little brothers – an Nvidia Tegra SoC (system-on-a-chip), a 3.3-inch (480×272) OLED screen, a built-in FM radio receiver and 802.11b/g WiFi. Let’s face the Monday greeting with some exciting price drop news. Microsoft recently has dropped the price of Zune HD Portable Media Player to $200 for the 16GB model and to $270 for the 32GB model.

There is not much drop actually, but a few bucks dropped is a few bucks saved. You can even find a lower price if you head to Amazon. Amazon list them as $190 for 16GB model ($10 lower) and about $250 for 32GB model ($20 lower!). Though there is no news whether this price drop is a permanent price or not, I suggest you to be quick to buy one before anything happen.

Dreaming of the portable Xbox 360 that comes fully equipped with multimedia supports similar to Zune? If you have such a dream, you may share the same perspectives with Carl Archambeault, a designer who recently created the Xbox 1080 which is the Xbox 360 and Zune combo in a portable manner. Check out his brilliant idea below:

The idea is to allow gamers to bring their powerful Xbox 360 on their pocket because Xbox 1080 is a portable gaming system similar to PSP, and it will do most of the tasks including gaming, music and video entertainment. Notice there are three buttons lying on the middle of the controller. That’s for easy access to the features.

The specialty of Xbox 1080 is the retractable screen, which you can virtually hide it inside the device when not in use. Featuring two analog sticks, one D-pad, and the usual 4-buttons for many purposes. It also have got 4 more buttons for multimedia playback and other purposes. If this kind of console ever available, I guess it can make a killing in the market. Great works, Carl!

After the Official release and the hands on review, Microsoft Zune HD finally has the price revealed to the public. The Zune HD will be available in two basic model with 16GB and 32GB version. Both of them will be priced at $220 and $290, respectively.

Just to refresh your mind about this Zune HD, the device is the newest PMP from Microsoft that has a good display supports up to 480 x 272 resolution, 3.3 inch OLED touch screen and it’s clear and crisper display than the previous version. While there are some leaked photos floating in the blogosphere, guys at CNet has already get their hands dirty with the new Microsoft Zune HD. The latest Zune HD looks very chic and sweet. It has a big 3.3-inch OLED touchscreen to display up to 480 x 272 in HD 720p manner. Which mean it could also play HD video directly on this Zune HD.

According to the expert, this Zune HD PMP has less spacious than the previous version, but it has a crisper and brighter plus more responsive screen display.

Microsoft Zune HD also get a good HD radio receiver built-in, WiFi connection, full screen web browsing, and so on.
